Okay, READ CAREFULLY: Pretend like you went into a time machine and was only able to go 5 seconds in time. Tell of something that you see yourself do in that 5 seconds in the future. Then, the next person will tell of something that he/she did in the present (made up, of course) that contributes to what will happen after the next 5 seconds (according to the above person's post). Then, this same person will post something else that he/she did that happened 5 seconds in the future, and the next person will repeat the process. Example: Me: In the future, I threw a pen at an employee behind the counter at McDonald's. Next person: I made a customer mad because I couldn't get his order out in a timely manner. In the future, I got hurt very badly. Next person: I was drunk and accidentally ran into the side of a car at 70m.p.h., severely injuring the person inside the car. And so on... Now, let's start! In the future, I found flat tires on my car that I had parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Will SC4 + Downloads Run Smoothly on an Ultrabook?
cityhawk posted a topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Hello, I have been away from SC4 for a few years now, and I have recently been interested in playing again. Problem is I need a new computer that I prefer to be a non-desktop computer. While I do believe ultrabooks will run the game itself smoothly, I'm not so sure that it would run smoothly with the copious amount of downloads I get from this site. Does anyone play on an ultrabook that can share their performance experience? Also, are there other types of computers I should look at? Thanks! -
Will SC4 + Downloads Run Smoothly on an Ultrabook?
cityhawk replied to cityhawk's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Yeah I was worried about the game not being able to play because of its older technology. Another question would be is it better to run the game on a Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating system? And I imagine that in the event I buy a touchscreen laptop, the touchscreen ability would not be compatible with the game; would it cause the game to not perform very well? -
Will SC4 + Downloads Run Smoothly on an Ultrabook?
cityhawk replied to cityhawk's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
So it seems that a laptop would be better than an Ultrabook at running a game like SC4, so my next question is what are the optimum specs that a computer should have to run SC4 Deluxe with at least 8GB+ of downloads? Other functions I would use the laptop for include social media, streaming video and music, and using Microsoft Office. -

How do YOU name your cities?
cityhawk replied to `Shotgun Nosejob`'s topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
My names are just random. Sometimes, I'll use the names of towns around me. Other times I'll combine the first words that pop in my head. I've also used cities from the Bible, like Galatia and Corinth. The naming depends on the moment I guess. -
That picture really makes me want to play SC4 again...too bad my PC crashed.

You make some very good points, Shingure. I might have to play God and destroy some unwanted, out of place stuff! But anyway, thanks for the positive review! -

Looking at Eddie's latest review, I suggest that all critics do their reviews in bright-colored fonts like the red that Eddie did. It makes it easier on the eyes and attracts more readers IMO (I know I'd rather read a long, brightly-colored block of text than a long, automatic black colored block of text). I'm loving these reviews, everybody! I MIGHT submit my CJ LATER, but for now I'd rather wait. Good job, everybody! -

I think that the critics should provide the link to the CJ that they are reviewing, like Eddie did, because I know I don't want to go searching through pages to find these CJs. Just my 2 cents. -
I was raised Baptist and remain Baptist to this day. I'm not one of those people who just stay the way they was raised because that's the only thing they know. My choice to stay Baptist comes from the Word of God and from informing myself about other religions.

There really is no such thing as a Christian way to drive. Plus, God/Jesus would never tell someone to hurt somebody else.

Can anyone explain to me in the simplest terms possible how to use the formal definition of a limit to prove that the limit of f(x) as x approaches c = L? Here's a problem I'm struggling with: lim x^2=25...Prove using the formal definition of a limit. x->5
-
I don't need to find x, and graphing it is all well and good, but I'm supposed to use the following definition to prove that lim x^2=25: The lim f(x)=L if for some number Epsilon>0, |f(x)-L|<E and x->5 x->a whenever |x-a|<d for some delta>0. I live in Mobile, AL, and I hope Gustav misses us, but I'd rather it hit us than New Orleans or the Mississippi Gulf Coast because they don't need any trouble, especially considering Friday is the three year anniversary of Katrina.

Okay, I'm playing this safe and putting this in the off-topic thread. I have two pic-editing programs with which I can work with: Irfanview and GIMP. Can anybody tell me how to make a mosaic with either two of these programs? Yes, I'm too lazy to go through the tutorials, but you guys and girls are nice enough to help me on this, right? Thanks in advance for any help.

I've heard that you can never completely get rid of everything on a computer hard drive, like you can dump your temporary internet files and get rid of everything in your recycle bin, but they are all put on some kind of "back burner" in the hard drive somewhere. Is this true?

The CBD pic is my favorite! What is that H-shaped building in that pic?

I still just can't get over how beautiful the region is...Did you terraform it yourself? -
Explosive intro man! The first thing I noticed was that CBD on that one small island, and the closeup reveals it is a nice one! The whole region looks awesome, from the satellite and transportation view to the closeups shown so far! I can't wait to see the waterfront developed!

Your whole CJ is too large for me to go through in a reasonable amount of time, so I've just looked at this page, and I'm liking what I see! I love the "road-geekiness," and your city is beautiful from what I see on this page. Oh, and from me a belated Happy Canada Day!
