One of my cities has a deal to sell it's trash to a neighbor. The city pays the money; the neighbor takes the money; the trash piles up. I'm paying for a service that is not being provided. How do I fix this?

Originally posted by: SC4BOY Yes, schools do aim at the "target" age.. For that reason you can "nibble" at education without a problem.. you can place a school at minimus "bus" radius and then as those sims get smarter and older you can expand the coverage and "sneak up on" the education problem on a limited budget if you are patient Hospitals on the other hand have a fill rate (% of population) based on health factors such as pollution, recreation, etc so they do will have lower usage (as a %) as you improve the city, but they can't be used like I mention above with the schools. As they fill and health may become an issue you may have to go to larger haspitals or more hospitals with overlapping coverage.quote> Funny. I do the exact opposite. I make the bus and ambluance radius very large and the funding for the facility very small in the beginning, then as the need grows I end up increasing the funding for the facility and eventually decreasing the radius as the usage often exceeds the capacity even when it's fully funded. What I figured out now is to keep high wealth residents out with taxes completely and then I plop some high wealth buildings with RH Plop Modd. I do the same with offices and dirty industry. quote> You could alternate putting commercial or industrial next to the residential for a similar result.

Originally posted by: paulmc Thank you folks, with these instructions I have decided uninstall SC4 RH and re-install it, and from now I will pay attention about the stuff I am downloading and its necessary dependencies, I hope it fixes all the problems and the stuff works THX !! quote> Next time, instead of uninstalling, and reinstalling, just delete the contents of you plugins folder found in: My Documents/Sim City 4

Do you ever get satisfied with where your city is at and declare it finished? Or do you continue all your cities onward and upward? Often with the smaller maps, I build little farming towns, and when the map is full, the city is finished. Am I denying my cities their maximum potential? What do you do? Is your city ever finished?

The Moose Factory - Virtual Bar and Grill - Version 3
JewelsMax replied to A Nonny Moose's topic in General Off-Topic
Sorry, That I was late to the party. Had to get the chillin off to bed, and the husband off to work. Then I had to get ready. I am wearing a red dress, with a black shawl tonight. I can't stay long though as I have to get up in the morning. *Makes a quick trip to the Buffet. -
I'm a porcupine in the first one and a unicorn in the 2nd. If unicorns are so rare, how come there are so many on this board?

The Moose Factory - Virtual Bar and Grill - Version 3

A cup of hot coca would be nice as I rest from shoveling snow. After I sit and drink a while, I'll need to go back out and do some more. Anyone who wishes to help, may join. I have 4 shovels. -
Originally posted by: nocturnal I had the same problem as above, and now I have the solution as well.. The connection issue, that you can't drag over the station and/or place a toll both over a road (as well as connect rails to sub-to-elevated transition) is A BUG. No terrain, orientation, funds etc. problems. IT IS A BUG. Patching the game to the latest version WON'T HELP either. The SOLUTION: It's quite simple. Just un-install the Game completely. Re-install it once again. DON'T do all tutorials from the beginning, just do the RH one straight away. YOU SHOULD NOW BE ABLE to drag the el. rails over the station ,as well as place the toll both over the road. IT WORKED for me. Good Luck! quote> Thanks. That's it. The problem was in the tutorial, so I knew that none of these solutions about using the wrong rail or a different rail would work, as the tutorial only allows you to click on what it wants you to click on. The monorail would connect to one station but not to the other. The error message kept saying unsuitable terrain. But instead of un-installing and reinstalling, I reset the game by moving out my simcity4 folder to my desktop and loading the game and playing the Rush Hour tutorial first, and it was fixed. Without your post, I would not have solved this problem.

Simcity 5 idea? Same concept as SC4!

It is now wholly part of EA's Redwood Shores Studio.quote> I think The Sims3 might be something like what you are looking for. -
I read this post then played my game. What I hate, when you have a 2 roads parallel with a rail road track in the middle. There is a small cross road over the tracks connecting the 2 parallel roads. You want to build another small cross road farther down the line. Instead the game adds cross roads the entire length of the parallel for you. And then I have to bulldoze the rail and re build it.
