Gateway Shore's Downtown Nice cities everyone!

Please read the begining and at least some of the story so you can understand the point of this odd C.J.-thanks! We arrive at the U.N. supreme court and step out of the shiny car, we walk up the 123 steps and enter the double doors into the marble hallway and get bombarded by the press and photographers looking for tomorrows cover story. As I mumble "no comment" and jog past them. I then enter the main court room where i see a panel of important people that do important things sitting at a long table and shuffling important papers. I am asked to stand in front of the panel where they all look down at me. I begin to sweat. "A199999999, that is your name?" they ask. "correct" I reply after a dramatic pause, "you were Mr.Defactos head advisor and assistant?" "yes" I again reply. "you have been summoned here to tell your story about Mr.Defactos rise to power and his reign over the city" (after much more hoopla and official business)... "Please begin, and don't leave out any of the details..." And so I Begin my story about Mayor Defacto's rise to power in the world most famous city - BIG CITY TUTORIAL -....... me-"Mr. Defacto"... "Mr. Defacto!" Mr.D-""What, oh, sorry"(he has just woken up) me-"we will be landing in Big City Tutorial soon" Mr.D-"wonderful, i should get a larger jet next time-tis one is quite cramped!" me-"sorry Mr.Defacto, but this is the largest private plane in the continent." (15 minutes later) Mr.D-"well, this place is dreadful! i can barley breath and there are no medium or high wealth places in the whole city!" me-"yes, but your grandma does love it when you visit her here in Big city Tutorial." Mr.D-"yes, but her house smells like cats and AXE." me-"but she is a nice lady" (Mr.D ignores me) Mr.D "She doesn't even have cats...or use AXE!" me-while we are here we have a meeting with several major investors here in the city" Mr.D-"good, i could always use some more money!" (over the hill and to grandmothers house we go) grandma D-"have some cookies-your to skinny! both of you!" me-"no thanks ma'am" Mr.D-"I told you i wasn't hungry grandma" grandma D-"fine, i put some in a bag for you trip home" (3 hours later-at the meeting Mr.D-"and THAT is why you should invest more into Defacto Corp. investors-"fine, it sounds like a good plan!, If only someone like you was mayor of this dump of a city! this could be the nicest and most successful city in the country! but i doubut that will happen" Mr.D-"What do you mean?" investors-"the current mayor has stayed in power for the last 50 years! We think he fixes the elections, he always wins but nobody votes for him! Now this city has a good budget but it really sucks to live here" me-"i can see why..." Mr.D-"yes...mayor...-any ways, that was a good meeting and thanks for listening and thanks for investing in Defacto Corp." (1 hour later-on the plane) me-"that city really was a dump" Mr.D-"do you really thing i could be a mayor some day?" me-"who knows, who know" ( i say absent mindedly as I a look out the window at the eye burning place called Big City Tutorial.) (this is what i see) A bland hill with many average look

I Don't know why but every plopable building(except ones with no structure) becomes all glitchy and truns into a box of wierd colors. I have removed EVERYTHING from my plugins folder one by one but the problems still occures. Every plop building like police station hospitals, landmarks, staduims, stc. is now all messed up i dont know how to fix it. If it continues. i will just re-install the game and see if it is fixed. Also avenues are invisible. It might be related to the fact that i started using GLR recently but the problem continued after i removed it. can any one help? A HOSPITAL(ABOVE) A CASINO, LANDMARK, CONVENTION CENTER, AND CASINO

MASSIVE UPDATE! (13 pictures) Yesterday the mayor got the extreme ordinances mod, demand mod , and others, and imedietly implemented them into the Big City tutorial!!! now the city is WAY dofferint than before, unrecogniseable!!! first, the new town of Black Mesa(below) Black Mesa overall(below) and now... Big City Tutorial!!! here is what happens when the no pollution ordinance is inacted...(below) Below Are pics of the 2 industrial sectors of BCT(if you can call them that) Here is a small sector in the south west corner.(below) and my favorite city picture so far(below) and here a before and after of Downtown BCT!(below) last and least is an overall of BCT(below) Have no fear, East City is here! Here is Urban Blight's last stronghold in the region(below) and another note, The song in ISD2's post is the new BCT anthem....HA

Well, i haven't done much with Big City Tutorial(don't worry it still sucks) i am going to show you some of the town surrounding the city. Here is Corner City(below) downtown Corner City 2 pics below are from random places. Here is a disgusting town that will not be outdone by those imposters above.here is a port that i like to call Eastville as you can see the horribleness has spread to neighboring tows..YES! hahahaha.next update, Big City Tutorial(and check out my sig!)

Thanks for the help guys, i just re-installed sim city and it works fine. (prince_of_sims-i have Sim City 4 Rush Hour, not SC4 deluxe)

It does that to me too. But it happens alot less with vista now than it did with XP(it crashed all the time for no reason), the only way i lessened the problem was saving ALOT. but yes, that does get very annoying

HELLO! sorry to all people but i had to completely uninstall ym game(you can see why in the technical issues forum) So it might take me a while to get Big City Tutorial back to being a disgusting urban blight so hold on there.(and to simHoTToDDy-i don't want a big city, i want MASSIVE!!!) ....

News lady-"today the city counsol has elected Mr.D as the new mayor of Big City tutorial! Today at the announcement the Mayor had these words to say" Mayor D-"while is unfortunate that the previous mayor exploded... I am here to tell you that Big City Tutorial will flourish under my rule! i mean leadership. We will spare no expense in making this city the greatist emipire... i mean city in Timbucktu! WE will continue to grow the city and improve living conditions in Big City Tutorial! With an 11 million dollar surplus in the city budget we will spend it on everythjing from hospitals to a new and revitalized downtown! I thanks you all for electing me as the new mayor of Big City tutorial... whats that! me-"aliens!!!run!" aHHH robots and tornados! OMFG! nuclear bombs! Mr.D-"well, this SUCKS! i don't like being mayor" me-"it you job now, HA GAGA" Mr.D-"those idiots just blew up downtown! (later that week on the local radio) news lady-"We have more breaking news! We have just recieved word that the mayor of Big City Tutorial has been assassinated! He was walking to his mailbox when somone threw an explosive newspaper at him. he was instantly killed." Mr.D-"HA HA HA, i knew that exploding newspaper would be cool!" (police at the mayors house-below) me-"WHAT! you killed the mayor!" Mr.D-" Of course not!" me-"oh, good" Mr.D-"I hired a profesional assassian to do it, and I paid extra for the exploding paper!" me-"OMFG" news lady-"with no mayer running the city, his advisory board will need to quickly place someone into the mayors position. We expect to find out thier decision withen a few days. Some highly possible choices that they say they are considering includes Tom cruise, The screming infomercial guy with the question mark suit(below) and a local and famous businessman know as Mr.D. -When the board releases thier decision, we will be first on the scene. only here a new 10 radio. Mr.D-"now do you see what the bribes were for?" me-"yes, that was very smooth" Mr.D-"now within a few days i should me mayor of this dump called Big City Tutorial. HA HA HA HA HA!(5 min. later)HAAAAAAAaaaaaa." me-"o.k. then..." Mr.D-"i love being evil... and Money!) (next update, will Mr.D be the new mayor of Big City Tutorial?)

Mr.D-"I now have complete control of the mayors advisory board! Ha ha ha" me-"how...?" Mr.D-"bribes of course!" me-"but thats illegal" Mr.D-"so is jaywalking! I am sure you have done that before." me-"i suppose. How much did all of this cost you?" Mr.D-"here i have a chart to show you!(i am way to organized)." (left to right)Zoning guy, money chick, utilities person, fire & police boss, health and education lady, transportation dude, tree person. Advisory board Bribes zoning guy $2,000+pair of wool socks money chick $3,000+fancy new shoes utilities person $5,000+barns&noble gift card fire & police boss $2,500+badge shining kit health & Education lady $4+a new haircut transportation dude $12,000+taxes tree person $0+a new tree in front yard me-"well, i am impressed" Mr.D-"of course you are, you work for me!" me-"yes, that too" Mr.D-"all that stand in my way is that fat old mayor, Every day this city gets worse! (2 years after Mr.Defacto's first visit to Big City Tutorial) Mr.D-"Well done!" me-"what an amazing home, and i do believe it is the largest in Big City Tutorial" Mr.D-"obvously, every other home in the city is the size of my new garage, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha." me-"here is that overhead picture of the house you wanted" Mr.D-"lets take a look..." "as you can see, police are on the scene and are currently fighting the rioters!" "wow! now they are attacking cars. thing are getting out of hand here!" "OMFG they just flipped over those 2 cars! Now the police are moving in...cool! the cops are hitting people with sticks, ouch! That guy just got hit in the crotch, ha ha!" (2 hours later) me-"good thing the police stopped the riot." Mr.D-"thats IT!-i am going to mayor of this city! I don't care what it takes, i will not see this place destroyed!(i could also get rich...)" me-"WHAT? I don't think you are ready to be mayor of an ant hill, let alone Big City Tutorial!" Mr.D-"don't worry, I bought Sim City 4 yesterday! I will be the best mayor to ever live!" me-"your crazy" Mr.D-"No. I'm a mayor! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA..." me-"SHUT UP!" Next update...I don't know(thanks for all the negative comments! keep it up!)

hello! I have not made a new topic here on simtropolis in a long long time. I will be showing you some pictures of my new city called NATHANS. This post i will be showing you the industrial area of my city. Sorry about the no pics for a minute-i accidently hit the post button The Industrial area of the city (above) is composed mostly of High Tech near the port with dirty industry inland and manufacturing spread thru-out the area. The Port of nathans where millions of dollars worth of goods are shiped in and out of the city. The National Statue of industry(above) A closer look at the canal running through the industrial center( i used The BSC brick canals) I hope you like it! feel free to comment

hello! welcome back to Nathans! Today we have pics. of the northern suburbs, a train, airport, and a sneak peak of downtown! Here is a Picture showing you how busy the rail lines are in the industrial sector.(below) And here is the Nathans Municipal Airport.(below) Now here is a pic of South Chestgrove which is just north of Midtown.(below) this is where all the rich people live that don't want to bother with urban living but like a short commute.(above) Here is North Chestgove which is north of South Chestgrove which is north of Midtown(below) And last but not lest is Park hill Which is Northwest of South Chestgrove and southwest of North Chestgrove.(see? simple!)(below) Oh, i forgot, here is a sneak pic. of Downtown(the larger one) Next post i could be posting downtown and/ or other stuff. cool! great cities and beautiful region

Sorry for the long wait! One thing led to another and blah blah blah..... so here a nice but small update I was going to show you downtown in this post but after much thinking, ploting, evil doing, and massive urban terraforming resulted in the city having a pinninsula rather than a inlet / bay thing. this gives me much more space to work with and overall a larger and better city. the new land has also resulted in the City of Nathans containing TWO downtowns. they are Un-officaly called East Downtown And West Downtown. (ANY suggustions for a new name for the west downtown would be welcome!) This resulted in taking alot of time trying to get the city fixed up to my low CJ standard.So here is West Downtown (the smaller and less impresive of the 2) which lies on the newly created pinninsula. here is an overall look at West Downtown.(below) THIS is what the old downtown used to look like before the entire waterfront was moved forward. now here is a closer look at the skyscrapers(i know-there not very intresting) and a look the canal which actually qualifies west downtown as being an island. yes, i do use the BSC canals alot in Nathans. Below you can see city hall where the usual city running stuff is done by the mayor and here is a picture of the city beach with a small amusment park. sorry the beaches are messed up... Replies-yay!!! homeandaway and topcliff-thank for the comment and sorry again about the pics. gingerblokey-thanks for the suppourt and complement( and to awnser your question...in the third pic. in the first post you can see a gonloda/boat landing for people to get to the island with.)
