COMMENTS at a later update. UPDATE: Okay, I went with Spa's plan (although all were very good). It worked out beuatifully, but a little problem..... NO JOBS!!! i have two solutions for the problem... Rezone more commercial in main street... Or zone a commercial park off Spa's new development. Any suggestions? Plans?

jacquilina: Thanks! Hope you like the update! teeparex: Nice idea ! I went with it. De Ja Vu: Thanks for the suggestion but I went with teeparex's! I didn't like the idea ofanother military base in the town, obstructing the water views UPDATE:I deicded to go with Teeparex's school plan for the waterfront development. The Riverside BEFORE development. And After. This image need a little backstory. The Mayor of Fort Krinses was informed by the governer that for the town to keep it's "seat of the county" it would need to increase it's population from 310 to something less "negligable". Not wanting to immedietly destory the town by expanding it out just yet, the mayor syphoned off some woodland next to the army barracks a few miles down the highway for subdivision development. The area after subdividing. it's now up to you to plan the layout of the rest of the streets, the lot placement and the inclusion of other things like small a commercial block, a park, or somthing else. Please remember: the idea is to increase population wihtout requiring a lot of job demand. Planning grid: Black is the already existing arterial road. You cannot remove this, but you can have feeder roads coming off it (which you will need anyway). have fun!

City Intro: San Lorenzo
boon1234 commented on panthersimcity4's City Journal Entry in The State of New Loreto
I like the newer one - seems more historic. I love how you mix maxis and custom so well - it seems like an older american city. Also,m region shot please -
Somewhere in the midwest, there is the city of Rourke. With a population about 300,000, Rourke is nothing special. Infact it has been going backwards since the manufacturting industry it relies so heavy on began to faulter. Rourke's downtown is very small, with no skyline. Here are some shots. More to come, possibly an overview!

The maxis home looks a little strange, but nice work.

I love the asian and Japanese bats, so I thought I'd create this thread. Here's my contrib: The beachside drive with these Hong Kong and Japanese apartments: The beach i built using the Japanese textures (which is right infront of the apartments I just showed): So, show us your examples of Asian architecture!

Can't wait for a regional shot!

That is my first seriouys attempt at a BAT. Obviously, windows are not done, nore is roofjunk, but what do you guys think needs to be improved? Thanks for writing tutorials and answering questions!

Wonderful work! I love region shots. Can't wait for closeups.

Can someone go in depth what to to cut 'holes' from faces? Or, an alternative? both preferably, thanks. when i try to use boolean like a few tutorials suggested, it just makes the operand B disappear. -boon1234

Is it possible to atleast export to sc4 with Gmax? I can't get BAT, I made my simcity.com account years ago and I can't reset my password (the feature is broken), and I can't product register with the same key, obviously. I downloaded gmax, I put a sketchup model I made in their fine...but how do I get it to Sc4?
-
Don't worry you guys! I found a simcity 4 fansite in German that hosted it! I'm off
-
Is there some way i can renew my account for simcity.com?
-
Ive searched everywhere for these, where can I find them? Thanks

Although we are all entitled to give constructive criticism, Fabsies to be on a trend of giving out misguided, uneeded tips on already good cities. Believe me, your region is very realistic and your region shots look very similar to what I've seen of Salt Lake. Nice work!

AUSTRALIAN CITIES - REPRESENTED REALISTICALLY I will be creating a fictional Australian city, based on characteristics I've seen in my travels. I will post a SC4 answer to all these characteristics in the next update, all in one region. Dense, repetitive suburbs. Modern inner cities. Older outer cities. STAY TUNED Edited - Oversized pic BT

REPLIES: fabsies: Thanks, and you will! muck: I love Australia too. knarfmo: Thanks! psander: Google Earth doesn't do Australian Urbanism justice. Australia is pretty, and not just the nature. TEASER: Some Aussie houses, not unlike those you find in newer suburbs in Brisbane. Some rich, beachside mansions, not unlike those at Bondi Bay, sydney.

Is there anyway I can makea large amount, like a tile, of building historical? Or make buildings be historical before they build?

Wow! bookmarked, inspired be to restart my region. -
Very good work, but I have a question. How do you know, from RL throughfares, whether they're a street, road, or avenue? Here in Australia our streets are only different from roads in width, not colour like on Sc4, So I'm just wonderin....

AVENDA ISLAND As of today, Avenda Island is a medium sized regions with five separate towns inhabiting it. Tehy are predominitely US towns, and have populations smaller than 5000. They are: Allistoris Avenda point Avenda bay Des Viderin Apolohville My aim in this CJ is to create towns with realistic growth patterns - I will be slowly transforming these five towns into five boroughs of a city. For the next few updates, we follow these towns: As an intro, Mayor Defacto will be showing you Allistoris, a suburban meat distributing capitol of the island. Most of the island's local meat supply comes from here. Infact, the town started as homing for pig farmers. Here you see a map of current Allistoris (not including proposed areas). Now, it has even been infiltrated by suburbanites and rich folk looking for quiet (some have left due to the isolation). Here's a current Main Street/Highway pic: Finally, here's Allistoris on a full scale - note the planned suburb Rendezzio, next to the meat packing "district" (well, the meat packing intersection). For now, we say goodbye to Mayor Defacto: NOTE: Artists Impression Seeya guys! Please comment!
