I don't remember the name of the bat/lot but it was actually 2 lots, one was a small "employment" office to help your sims find jobs, and the other was a larger "Headquarters" type building that kept track of all the jobs in your city that were available. If anyone can help me find them on the ST-Ex I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance jally

After the cataclysm of 2325 the residents of Burlington set out to finda new land to make their home. The lands were torn by nuclearholocaust, and were now unfertile. The lands no longer being ableto support any type of livestock or produce any type of plants wererendered useless and abandoned. The people packed up all thebelongings that they had left, loaded them on to boats, and setout. As they traveled the vast spans of the rivers, they cameupon the Stallion River Valley. It was a very flat tree coveredarea, that was seemingly unaffected by the radiation due to theremoteness of the area. After extensive testing of the water, soil, and surrounding air, the settlers diligantly started toclear and set up civilization in the area. This is a 1025x1025 map, of large cities, I purposely used the largecities because of the water content of the map, I hope you enjoy themap, and would love to see some screenies of it in use. If you'd liketo send me a screenie of a city you've built on one of the cities myemail is jalaran_devine@yahoo.com -
ok the couple of requests was supposed to be humor... appearently missed, I did include some pictures yes, but if you read the whole post you'd see the whole thing was not demanding or anything else.. it was supposed to be light and comical ... my apologies if it was taken wrong ... what I did post pictures of was building/lot ideas that were somewhat unigue in stucture and composition ... as I've noticed SG thinks somewhat like I do.... and if you notice I said ... I didn't Expect any or all of them ... which meant they were ideas not really requests ... I'm not an artist with graphics, but I know what it's like to be on the other end of trying to come up with ideas sometimes (writer here), sorry if this post was taken the wrong way. Jalaran

Galesburg was founded by George W. Gale, a minister of the gospel fromNew York State who dreamed of establishing a manual labor college. Acommittee from New York purchased 17 acres in Knox County in 1835, andthe first 25 settlers arrived in 1836. They built cabins in LogCity near current Lake Storey, just north of Galesburg. Galesburg was home to the first anti-slavery society in the State ofIllinois founded in 1837, and was a stop on the undergroundrailroad. Railroads play a key role in Galesburg -- The firstrailroad came to Galesburg in 1854. The City of Galesburg isa unique town in the fact that it was a planned city whose purpose wasfostering religious education. Knox College was the main reason for itsexistence. The college was granted a charter by the IllinoisLegislature in 1837, but it was not until 1841 that it opened itsdoors to the first freshman class. Old Main was completed in 1851and has the distinction of being the only building still standing wherea Lincoln-Douglas debate was held, the fifth and most famous of thedebates. The town also became the shipping center of theterritory. In 1854 the first train rolled into town on theCentral Military Tract (now the Burlington Northern Railroad). Later, the Santa Fe railroad was persuaded to extend it's line from theMississippi to Chicago to run through Galesburg. In Celebrationof the railroad heritage, every June "Railroad Days" are held, included in the event are tours of the $83 million Burlington Northern rail yards. The city of Galesburg is the county seat of Knox County. It was moved to Galesburg from Knoxville, Illinois in 1873. The City of Galesburg is the birthplace of Carl Sandburg. Hishome has been maintained as a museum for visitors to tour. Ajunior college located in Galesburg, Carl Sandburg Junior College, wasnamed in his honor. The City of Galesburg is home to the "StearmanFly-In Days" The only event like this in the world. The event wasexpanded in 1998 to include a radio controlled air show, WorldWar II re-enactments, and the new Stearman Museum located at theairport. This is my first in a series of Midwestern American Small Towns, I willbring you more, this was the first becasue it's the childhood home ofmy husband. -
I don't know how often some one actually reads this thread, but I have to say, I love the way Simgoober thinks, alot like I do. When I started downloading bats, lots, mods, etc... I noticed alot of the ones I wanted were by him. Ok, here's a couple requests Radio Shack UPS(United Parcle) Payless Shoes Chevy Dealers Dodge Dealers USA Drug Shoney's (Dinner) Ryan's (steakhouse) Macy's Sak's 5th Ave DKNY Bloomingdale's Dillard's JC Penny's Old Navy Tommy Hilfiger Bass Pro Shop Foot Locker A&W Rootbeer (dinner type) Linens and Things Pier 1 Imports Quick Trip EZ Mart Ice Box (or any other real conveniance store) Veteran's Admin. Hospital Sugar Cane Farm Rice Farm Peach Grove Some real life NFL stadiums (Chicago Bears) Some real life Baseball Stadiums (Wriggly Field) I'd start working on these myself, but I'm so non artistic it's not even funny. But here are some ideas for anyone who'd be willing to undertake them .... Another thought, we've got public telephones, we've got public parking, what about a mail box for a corner a simple 1x1 lot like the telephones or such, where you drop off your mail.. not sure about what stats could be on it .. And Theme Parks ... we are in severe lack of things like Sea World, Six Flags, Busch Gardens, Worlds of Fun, .... something to this affect ... maybe make it replace the tourist trap? Haha as I type and read this thread everyone in the house is chiming in on ideas ..... so until they run out of them I'll keep giving y'all ideas... Arby's Roast Beef Papa John's Pizza (this could be a u-drive it) Pepsi Bottling Company Coke Bottling company Budweiser Brewery Miller Brewery I mean come on, we can grow illegal plants. Why can't we grow barley and hops, and make beer ? Oh, and a Krispy Kreme that isn't attached to a police station would be nice And how about maybe, a park like in NY, and some of the other big cities, where they sit and play chess.... there's usually a crowd that gathers to watch the masters and grandmasters play. A Tobacco Plantation would be cool, it could be a business deal ... ok ok, I'll wrap this up, I don't expect all or any of these things, but just thought I'd drop some ideas in the direction of the talented artists of Simtroplis.... I enjoy all of your work it's definately gives my cities a bit more realism. Jalaran_Devine Mayor Extrodinaire.....
