RAH Wat-Air Inc. v2 This is the latest updated version (June 2015) of my Wat-Air Inc. lot. (Wat-Air Inc. v2) It's the final creation and will clean the water and air in a small to medium city. Please replace any older versions with this version 2. It's the better of them. It must be connected to your main water supply or used as the main water supply for it to work properly. Connect those pipes from the pump to that flange! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: Got water pollution? Got air pollution? Need water treatment? Need air treatment? Need water purification? Need air purification? Well, brother, you've come to the right lot. You are looking at a revolutionary breakthrough in clean air and clean water. This process sucks all the air it can suck into the large turbo sucker than separates the H2 from the O found in the air and reprocesses the air into large green ionization balls which are than expelled from the top of the big blue ionization building. The 'smoke' you see is nothing more than hot steam used in the process. Backed by little steam injectors, they expel the ion balls into your city's atmosphere. The steam also keeps those little green buggers soft and pliable while they float around your city devouring any and all nasty particles in the air. It's revolutionary, I tell you! The 'waste' from the breaking down of the H2 from the O is 99.44% pure so it can be pumped back into the water system, completely cleaning all grunge and any nasties it finds. Yup, you heard right! Back into the main water system! These little goodies are called waterons and work like tiny microscopic scrubbing bubbles floating around throughout your water system. It's revolutionary, I say! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note 1: It was tweaked to clean two nasty coal burning power plants and one incinerator I have in one of my city's. If you have more dirty industry than that, you may need to plop two or more of them. It is also residential and commercial friendly. It can be plopped most anywhere. I've kept the stats within reason keeping it from being an actual CHEAT lot. The updates are: Increased radius area out to 144. Increased the plop cost from 10,000 simolians to 15,000 simolians. BUT reduced monthly costs from 500 to 200 simolians. Reduced garbage output. Added a small water pump, the same as the small water pumping station in the game. And a couple other minor unimportant thingys. Note 2: Don't forget to connect this lot to your main water supply or use it as the main water supply for it to work properly. Connect those pipes from the pump to that flange! Stats: Plop cost: 15,000 simolians Monthly cost: 200 simolians Bulldoze cost: 1,000 simolians Jobs Generated: 600 ($=100, $$=200, $$$=300) Installation: Unzip the 'RAHWatAirIncv2.zip' folder and place the lot file in your, My Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folder. Dependencies: There are no dependencies other than Maxis bldgprop_vol1 & bldgprop_vol2 OR Maxis Prop Names&Query Fix ENJOY!!! A little credit goes to SimCoug for helping with the tweaks. -
That maybe true but I've never used Gmax in my entire life. I've never made a 3D model for SC 4 either but I have made a number of lots for the game. I'm just trying to remember how I did it.
-
I have a hand full of lots and I never ever fired up Gmax. I've never used it. There is another way to create content for SC 4 but I can't remember how I did it.
-
Thanks, Moose, but I don't think I need the BAT for anything. I don't ever remember using it in the past for any content I ever made for SC 4. Why do I need the BAT? I'm going to build any models and I'm not going to learn Gmax.
-
I have no issues with editing the registry, I just don't know where to look. If the BAT isn't installed then there isn't a registry key to edit. It's the BAT Installer that need editing. That's something I'd like to adjust but I haven't the tools or knowledge to do it. If I could tell it where to look, I'd be a happy camper.

I'm looking for a Lot Editor tutorial (LE)
thegrindre replied to thegrindre's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
It was simpler then that, Moose. All I did was run a Google search for, MSVCP71.dll, found it and dropped it into the PIM X folder and everything worked just fine after that. Thanks, -
I deleted my city by accident... HELP
thegrindre replied to thegrindre's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I've gotten lazy is about all I can say. Windows 3.1 knocked me out of programing anything anymore. Soon after 3.1, I found everything on the 'net' and it was free. Why waste my time anymore? So all I did was move on into the modern day PC with Win XP Pro. -
That maybe all true, Moose, but I have the original game I paied about $30 ($29.95?) for back when it first came out. I even have the original printed manual that came with it back in those days. (Who remembers those?) I do have the original game installed on another drive. It's my game drive and is where all my games are installed. I keep C: drive clean for all system files and it is a much smaller drive and too small for any games. Thanks, though,

No no, I'm not going to spend weeks or months trying to learning another 3D app, fellas. THAT's out of the question and is why I asked about the format SC 4 uses. My 3DC program will spit out a number of game formats. Anyway, BAT won't install on my PC. It says I don't have SC 4 installed. Sheesh! Thanks, guys, EDIT: Yes, I can spit out a 3D Studio .3ds file. Also a 3D Studio .asc file. Hmmm... There may be hope after all. :-)

I deleted my city by accident... HELP
thegrindre replied to thegrindre's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I've been fooling around with computers since 1988 and learned BASIC language back then. Coming from DOS makes me simplify my PC. Ater a complete reinstall of Win XP Pro, It takes me hours to tweak the thing back to a basic simple working system again. LOL I toss out all the 'bells & whistles' I know of. Sheesh! Thanks guys, -

Hi Moose, Well, this is the message I get when trying to fire up the app, and I quote, "This application has failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." (Re-installing it did not fix it.) The second message says, "See the logfile 'D:\apps\SC4PIM\SC4PIM.exe.log' for details." AND, that log file says, Traceback (most recent call last): File "SC4PIM.py", line 1, in ? File "SC4PIMApp.pyo", line 96, in ? File "wx\__init__.pyo", line 45, in ? File "wx\_core.pyo", line 4, in ? File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 12, in ? File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 10, in __load ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found. So, there you have it. The complete error message sequence I get when trying to launch the PIM-X app. Thanks,. -
I need a little help with modding
thegrindre replied to thegrindre's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
I don't ever plan to use Gmax for anything so having it installed was just a requirement as I understand it. So I did that. And, yes, my SC4 is installed on another drive. Well, it looks like the Reader is my only out. I'll try to find tutorial docs on it, I guess. Hmm, I wonder if I could get somebody around here to make the adjustment for me? Thanks,
