oddly enough, when 1.07b first dropped it was quickly taken back. You could "beta test" it through steam. When I ran it that way - everything worked. It was great. Then a day later the actual patch came out and all the mods went right back to disappearing. ah, nevermind my last comment. We're still on 1.0.6b. Steam did have 7b in the beta program for a day though and it worked. So I think we'll get a fix when 7b is actually released.

Yes! I have the exact same problem. any custom buildings do not show up at all. It's very annoying and I'm surprised there aren't more forum posts about it.
