I honestly find the great works rather silly. I haven't taken the time to build them all, mainly because what is the point? you just make a single building in a fixed spot that is nothing unique or special and really only creates problems and complications in your cities. Honestly I feel like the GW are just a pathetic attempt at adding some type of multiplayer aspect to the game.

I have a question about these and the new Xpac. With the new xpac it appears that when you build next to a future building those building designs change... So how will this work with these custom buildings? If I install this, will it be futurized like other buildings? or will it always look like this? If it will not take any futuristic effects, is it possible to somehow make buildings that can be futurized? I'm thinking what will these custom buildings look like if your whole city is futurized but the custom buildings just look the way they normally do... You will have a big difference between these buildings... Anyways, great work, I can't wait for the 3ds tools so I can make my own buildings. Though, being able to add new buildings that don't replace others would be very nice indeed.

Educational programme uses SimCity to test children on vital problem-solving skills
Robproc commented on Dirktator's article in News
I think it would be a great idea, even if it is on sc13. I remember being a kid in what we called a computer lab, and in the "computer lab" there was a bunch of very old apples that only ran a few things and it was all through a terminal. There was the good ol Oregon trail (the class favorite) and then some other typing games which everyone hated. Had a game like this been available to us as children we would of probably been the most exciting things of our lives. I really believe that schools need to intigrate a lot of technology into their studies. Now days just about every profession is computer based. Architecture and city planning are just about exclusive to computers these days, and any type of big project will be first prototyped to ensure success. So, in my opinion the more we get kids involved with not only computers, but solving problems with computers, our future will be brighter. All the kids who can't figure out how to build a city can take the sanitation and construction jobs -

Yes I absolutely HATE this bug, because it makes laying cities with both roads an avenues a absolute pain! For whatever reason when you try to place roads next to an avenue, using the avenues guide, the guide tries to space 2 hd buildings without any space for a road inbetween them. So, this means you need to never use the guides when placing roads next to an avenue. I used to use the park trick as well, however I don't like that one as much because the reasults are somewhat random. Sometimes the system will draw the parks with more space around them than other times, or the edges can get strange and make itself expand out a little. Anyways what I do now is draw the proper guides myself with dirt roads. So, here is how it works. Rather than place a park strip as your guide instead grab dirst roads and draw between $270 to $279 worth of dirt road. This amoun of road will give you enough space for HD buildings. I think actually 265 or something is the exact size. I usually go for around 275, but the big problem with measuring like this is that you don't always get the same numbers. Meaning sometimes you draw it out and you can only get like 271 and 275, sometimes you can only get 276 and not 275.... If you don't know what I am referring to you will once you start measuring with roads. Ultimately road measurements are the best solution as it gives a much more precise measurement. Its a shame though that we cant use the in game guides... Having to measure out the spaces with dirt roads takes so much more time. I hate it, like a lot... It exponentially increased the tedious time it takes to manually size all these roads... FIX THIS BUG ALREADY! -

How old is this city? As in, what patch did this city get built? Chances are you need to just start a new city/region and drop this one. Pretty much after each patch I never play previous cities because of these types of issues. Each patch I start a new region and never look back. I have not had any bugs or any problems with the game while doing this, and even though I might be throwing away a lot of time spent on those cities, they are all just sitting there doing nothing anyways. Not to mention you can rebuild an entire city from start to finish in an hour, so I am not worried about having to start over. Maybe after the xpac it won't be so easy to just throw away cities and start over, especially with cities that are fully developed, but yea just my 2 cents. If there is no real reason, my suggestion would be to give up that region and start with a new one.
