I have not bought it yet even though I wish I could play this game because I flatly refuse to pay for a product as morally bankrupt and crippled by always online drm as this is. I can not imagine how it must feel to be a developer who has to navigate through all the inane wishes of upper management stifling your creative process and squeezing your baby into a straight-jacket that makes consumers cry out in anguish. But I have no doubt it must suck. So dear developers I wish I could enjoy your game but I can not due to the decisions made by EA upper management. Hopefully at some point either EA kneels to their consumers and accepts a more reasonable approach or if that never happens than all I can hope for is that an Independent group of people will make it possible for me to play the game as I want it to.

Even though people have been warned that the drm sucks they are still buying the game. This blows my mind. EA will be happy though all those silly consumers handing them their cash and just gobbling it all up.

It should be possible to use a VPN to get around the release date regime.
