  5. How to: Make your own Mods

Thanks a million fun--I figured out what I did wrong. I failed to leave the first ID to 2026960b. I couldn't find that post from the Ninja Master (thanks for copying it here) but I remember GrampaAl saying something about needing 3 unique IDs. But this only requires two--one static and one unique. Thanks again fun. My head was getting sore (not to mention bleeding) from banging it against the wall for so long. Thanks, too, to Raphael for making the tutorial! You guys have made my day
  6. How to: Make your own Mods

---------------- Just wanted to ask if there was anything that anyone is still unsure or wishing to request. Also I wouldnt mind comments from our 1200 lurkers that we have in this post. Thanks for all the good comments. From funforfree99---------------- Hi funforfree - I have a problem and hope you might be able to help me. I'm modifying and Elementary School. I'm attempting to change the text seen by the user when pointing to the icon on the menu in the game. GrampaAl gave me instructions twice and I thought I followed them correctly. Apparently not. I added a text file (XA type), gave this file unique hex codes (all three fields have different codes). I then changed the "User Visible Name Key" to match the values for the XA file. When I ran the game, I get the title (in bold next to its cost and again one line below but no description, no monthly cost, nothing else. Why can't I get this right? I've attached a copy of the lot if you wouldn't mind looking at it and letting me know what I did wrong, I'd certainly appreciate it Thanks.
