  1. I really appreciate the advice. You've given me a lot to mull over. In the end, I'll most likely just accept that I will be unable to play Cities with my current set up. My brother tried to convince me to purchase Alienware. Unfortunately, the cost was a major issue. All is not lost. My other games are performing much better than they did on my previous MAC, and I can finally download the mods for SimCity4!!!!!! Again, I appreciate the help.
  2. *Full disclosure, I am not very knowledgeable about the interworkings of my refurbished (not by me) HP Compaq 8000 Elite. I seek advice on a new graphics card, or whether to upgrade at all. I recently purchased a refurbished HP Compaq 8000 Elite with an Intel Core 2 Duo and 8.1GB of RAM. My current graphics card specs indicate an Intel Q45/43 Express Chipset. I also understand Cities: Skylines does not play well with Intel integrated graphics cards, and am looking to upgrade. However, I have a few questions I hope someone would be willing to answer. First, am I able to upgraded my current graphics card in my computer? If so, are there limitations to the kinds of cards that will work with my HP Compaq? (ex. would the recommended nVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, 2 GB or AMD Radeon HD 7870, 2 GB be able to be installed in my computer at all?) Second, considering my PC's specs and Cities minimum (nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, 512 MB or ATI Radeon HD 5670, 512 MB), and recommended (nVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, 2 GB or AMD Radeon HD 7870, 2 GB) graphics cards, what would you recommend as a comparable in-between GPU? I'm finding the recommended GPUs to be a little out of my price range. Could use the help/advice!!
  3. I am currently using a MacBook Pro with an updated OS X operating system. I'm having difficulty downloading from the STEX. Anytime I click to download, I am redirected to an Error 404 page. Since I did not encounter this problem when I used my older PC and other Mac users in the forum don't seem to be having an issue, I must be missing a piece of software or file translator. I was excited to discover that Simcity4 deluxe was available through the App store and would love to customize my cities with the uploads from the exchange Please help!!
