The simulation of sims in their daily lives won't be synced with the simulation of construction. A sim could well drive past an empty lot to get to work and drive back home to see a giant factory on the same lot. If sims age, they'll probably age at super-accelerated rates too. It sounds unrealistic but it will barely be noticable, because it really doesn't matter how many days are in a year in the sim universe. Sims won't age, they are replaced. For instance if you have a school the residential areas will spawn "regular" children into the houses. If you replace that school with an upgrade ( better ) school, the houses ( on the next day ) will produce "smart" children. Thus making smarter adults, which affects the look of your town. Though, I'm not sure if it affects the home entirely as the jobs available could have some type of income requirement for a house to look better or become bigger.

I don't think Maxis is "lazy," as they are making a game so a wide population can enjoy, rather than a few people. They've already stated that they will keep the online requirement. If you don't like it don't buy it. They are trying to make a sequel to the series how they (or EA) sees fit. If you aren't happy with that, write a letter to Maxis and/or don't buy the game. [Merged] Plus not everything is final the game is still in production. -

Simcity intergration with The Sims 4?

This is possible in the future. I will admit I am a closet Sims 3 "Addict". The draw backs of this would be the time issue. You see, Sim City is going to an all Online thing, where multiple people will be making their cities in the same game also trying to manage sims life .If these two franchises integrated, then you wouldn't be able to fast forward time anymore. That means for all you people who play Sims that you wouldn't be able to fast forward time to the time where your sim gets off work. This is because other people are in the same city controlling their sims. So one sim day would essentially be 24 minutes. As one hour in sims = 60 seconds. Noted there are 24 hours in a sim day = 24 minutes of you raging that you can't fast toward time anymore...Unless you want to live in your own city by yourself, then I'm sure this is no problem. You could fast forward time all you want , if you live alone in your own city. Instead of trying to live in other people cities, with people controlling sims also with CPU controlled sims. O_O ....So much RAM..... -

1.Fully detailed citizens (In the pictures posted by the community the citizens look like "Legos") . 2.Cars don't disappear (What is this "City Life"?) 3.The suggestion of an text box feature to name businesses is a fantastic idea! 4.Tons of animations so you'd have a blast watching sims in your city! 5.A full citizen customization screen to create your own citizen. 6.Tracking system to auto-matically follow pedestrians. I pay more attention to the graphics of the game more attentively , than rather the gameplay. Although I hope they don't screw that up. I'm confident Maxis won't. -WISHLIST- -

This might be a stupid question but... what's zoning? Is that like when you make and drag those residential box things then place them. Then houses appear? Someone feel free to correct me on this please. -

Do you guys think if we choose to do multiplayer mode, there would be some type of way you could communicate. I mean in ways such as chat so you can tell neighboring cities problems coming from their city? Like a main chat all the cities on the map will be able to communicate from? It'll be pretty awsome if this happens! Maybe if someone is trolling theirs a way to kick them out of the map with their city too, or block their text from your view ? -

Guys give Maxis some time. All of our SC fanatics are anticipating the game's release and at the end of the day. Maxis's new title will not satisfy everyone. Remember they got 8 more months to modify the game give them some space. They barely even released any gameplay footage. -

Are the residents of the cities detailed? (Agents) I've played City Life before and I found it annoying seeing NPC's that looked all the same walking on the street. I know in that game there were differences in looks by social class, but that dosen't come in to play in this game. So are there a wide range of characters in SC5? Thanks!
