I'd 'argue' that this thread is more about console wars than it is about the actual game Bayonetta 2. It is about the reaction to B2 being exclusive to Nintendo which is a product of the 'console wars'. So I think it makes sense to talk about the state of Nintendo in this thread. I agree that B2 helps diversify WiiU's library, but I think the money could have been better spent on building a new 1st party development team, buying shares in a 2nd party team, or creating a new IP. I still contend that there is only a vocal minority of Bayonetta fans who really give a damn about Bayonetta 2 being exclusive. It really isn't that big a deal to most gamers. If you look at the petition to make Bayonetta 2 multi-platform you will see that it received only 21 signatures. Virtually all of the articles you pointed to are only reporting on fans being upset, they aren't condemning Nintendo or Platinum Games for making B2 exclusive. I feel the reason you think there is such a huge backlash is because you are looking through the mainstream media magnifying glass that has blown this whole thing out of proportion. I think it is understandable that the fans were pissed off because the only people who actually played Bayonetta 1 are PS3 and 360 owners. Those people don't want to have to buy a whole other different and inferior (in their opinion) console just to play the sequel. These lines from the Kotaku article sum it up pretty well: "Fans of Bayonetta took a soaking last week when they learned that the game was getting a sequel—exclusively on the Wii U. (...) on further review, they have a point—if inelegantly expressed. (...) these are the people who did buy the game. (...) And the reward for their loyalty is to be told the game they want effectively costs them $360 or $410. (...) Nintendo isn't doing this out of altruism for the series, they want to sell consoles, and give their machine a chance with a type of gamer who needs a good deal of coaxing to buy a second console—especially one that comes so late in its hardware generation. (...) It's not hard to think Nintendo was banking on an implied vouch from Bayonetta fans, and instead it became a backlash against Bayonetta's developer, Platinum Games. And I keep coming back to the fact that if you enjoyed the original and want the sequel, it's going to run you six times what's usually paid for a video game, turn key." I like your list of new IPs but you forgot these great N64 games: Perfect Dark, Turok, Jet Force Jemini, Banjo-Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur day, Extreme G, and Super Smash Bros. Actually there is more than one Bayonetta 2 petition. Both Nintendo's and Platinum's Twitter feeds and Facebook pages lit up during June due to all the E3 Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 announcements demanding a port and telling them off. Media outlets also raised the issue in interviews with Platinum and Tree House (American division of Nintendo). The only N64 IP on that list is Smash Bros. Turok and Extreme G were Acclaim and were ported to other platforms, though they are dead since Acclaim went under. The rest belonged to Rare (which Nintendo used to hold 49% stake in), which now belong to Microsoft. Since 2007, Nintendo has acquired first party teams. The biggest of all was Monolithsoft the maker of Xenogears and Xenosaga (Nintendo owns fully now). Monlithsoft second team assists the other development teams in game development 1-Up makes primarily handheld games Nd Cube makes party games such as Mario Party and Wii Party (Wii Party is actually enjoyable), they are made up of the people who left Hudson when Konami acquired them Retro Studios (Well technically were acquired in 2002 and is based in Austin TX) has two teams now, but has trouble keeping American employees due to Americans wanted to make cinematic AAA games since 2006. Retro Studios made its name for making Metroid Prime Trilogy, DKC:R, and DKC:TF (They wanted to make a DKC trilogy) Nintendo SPD has 4 software teams (works on special projects and helps out the rest of their teams) Nintendo SPD hardware/OS has 4 teams as well (they don't make games) Nintendo EAD (the main development branch) now had 6 software teams which is up from 4. Nintendo EAD has seperate special effect and sound teams now Nintendo EAD Tokyo has two teams now which makes eShop titles and big titles/remakes Nintendo EAD TD makes game Engines and SDKs Nintendo IRD has 5 teams that makes hardware Nintendo SRD helps teams program their games Nintend Network BD has two teams that deals with the online portion NST (based in their U.S. HQ) makes games and apps NTD (based in their U.S. HQ) helps with hardware NERD (Paris division) makes video codecs, compression and players NSD (Kyoto division) works with NNBD on the networking side Nintendo's interal employee head count has passed the 5,000 mark finally, though to be fair it is really hard to get hired in at Nintendo. Nintendo had rought 3,500 employees when Wii launched Exclusive Second parties are: AlphaDreams - M&L RPG series Ambrella - Pokemon spin offs Arzest - previously known as Artoons Arika - Endless Ocean, 3D classics Asobism - Freakyforms IP Creatures Inc. mainly help Game Freak design Pokemon Curve Studios - Fluidity DigitalScape Eighting GameFreak - Pokemon co-developers Ganbarion Genious Sonority Good-Feel! Grezzo HAL Indieszero iNiS Intelligent Systems Jupiter Monster Games (Canadian based) Noise Paon Skip Tose This up from Gamecube era Former second parties are: Radical Entertainment - Activision bought them Rare - Stamper Bros (owners) demanded ~$600 Million for their 51% stake in Rare. Nintendo and other companies said it was too much for Rare. Microsoft are failing to convince Yamauchi (then CEO of Nintendo, great grandson of the founder) to sell Nintendo to them for $25 Billion. Microsoft bough the next best thing which was Rare (Microsoft has restructured Rare twice after nearly every game has bombed on Xbox and 360). Nintendo made $300 Million on their 49% stake of Rare. Rare has never been profitable under Microsoft, causing Microsoft to lose money ontop of the $600M. Silicon Knights left Nintendo because the CEO and founder Dennis Dyack wanted full control back and hated Nintendo strict management style and deadlines. He also wanted to make an expensive epic AAA game which Nintendo refused to fund. The only two games they released under Nintendo were the critically acclaimed horror/adventure game Eternal Darkness, which sadly failed to sell and Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes which is a full remake of MGS1 (though Kojima says it is not canical). Both games were on Gamecube Silicon Knights was able to get Microsoft to fund and publish Too Human Trilogy (only the first game was released), the game was considered the worst game on Xbox 360 due to glitches. It bombed! Dennis Dyack had a huge meltdown (if you can call it that) on NeoGaf, attacking critics and reviewers of Too Human. He was banned shortly there after. Silicon Knights became a contract studio for 3rd parties, making X-men games for Activision Silicon Knights then sued Epic Games over UE3 engine, claiming it was faulty and not fully supported Silicon Knights lost, forced to pay Epic millions. They went Bankrupt in May of this year. Left Field left Nintendo because they thought they had what it took to become a major 3rd party player in Sports games going head to head with EA in 2003. They are still active, but haven't had good sales since going 3rd party. No game has been produced since 2009 No retail game has been released since 2008 Flagship was a joint venture between Nintendo and Capcom with Capcom holding the majority stake. Capcom shut it down in May of 2007 as part of its massive restructuring, merge into Capcom proper. n-Space left on their own accords after Geist failed to sell, the do make games for Nintendo systems. Factor 5 left Nintendo when they received a Wii development kit, they wanted to make state of the art graphics. Factor 5 went under in 2010 after Lair bombed on PS3 killing the studio Cing went bankrupt and was liquidated after they failed to get Nintendo buy them out. Hudson went bankrupt in 2012 after Bomberman: Act Zero (the gritty M rated reboot of Bomberman on 360) failed spectacularly, Konami had first dibbs under contract and bought them. Most of the staff went quit and formed Nd Cube, which Nintendo now owns. Nintendo also has special partnerships with select 3rd parties: Square-Enix for overseas console pubishing of mainline DQ titles (this deal may have expired) Capcom starting with Monster Hunter 3 (best selling 3rd party game in Japan) WB for Lego City franchise (Nintendo co-owns it) Camelot for many games Kuju for many games Level-5 for Professor Layton, Yo-ki Watch series, and Guild (Nintendo publishes many of the games) Namco - Smash Bros 3DS and Wii U (their fighting studios are the main developers under Nintendo's direction), Wii Sports Club (Remake of Wii Sports), Mario Kart GP, and Mario Baseball games. Namco is also making Pokken which is a Pokemon Fighting game coming out next year made by Team Tekken. Platinum Games - Nintendo owns Bayonetta now and The Wonderful 101. Platinum Games has become a work for hire, since Sega dumped them and no publisher wants to work with them due to low sales outside of Nintendo and Microsoft. Platinum Games is in talks with Nintendo and considering becoming an exclusive second party to Nintendo. Microsoft said their relationship with Platinum will be determined by the sales of Scalebound, though if traditionally hold true, the game will bomb like all the rest. Activision does have one game that is launching this year from Platinum, because Activision was short staffed. The game is Legend of Korra and is a digital download only Tecmo-Koei has special relationship with Nintendo. Nintendo is said to have co-ownership of their Fatal Frame franchise, starting with 4 Nintendo helps fund the games All remakes and new Fatal Frame games are exclusive to Nintendo TK makes Pokemon Conquest series which is an SRPG TK allowed Nintendo to fix Ninja Gaiden 3:RE for Wii U TK's newest game is Hyrule Warriors (which is a cross between Zelda and Dynasty Warriors, with Zelda gameplay and DW's battle gameplay) Treasure well they are in the same boat as Platinum, most of their games since GBA have been Nintendo published or released exclusive on Nintendo systems via a 3rd party. As for Nintendo's new IPs by generation: N64/GBC/VB: ~15 GC/GBA: ~33 (13 were GC games) Wii/DS: ~110 yes that is ~110 Half were educational/board games/card games/puzzles and others. Half were released digitally on DSi and Wii Shop Channel 3/4th were ignored by many gamers for various reason including not being "hardcore" enough, E-rated, puzzles etc... Majority weren't deemed worth the effort by NoA to release in North America due to the nature of NA market. Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii RPG), The Last Story (Wii RPG), and Pandora's Tower (Wii action/RPG) weren't originally scheduled for an North American Release due to market research and feedback showing a lack of interest by gamers due to them being RPGs Xenoblade was the best game of the bunch and is being remade exclusively for the "New 3DS" that was announced last week. Xenoblade sold enough to get a full scale sequel on Wii U. 3DS/Wii U: 27 (yes that is 27) 12 of which are currently made for Wii U 15 are 3DS (mostly eShop) Lego City Undercover (Wii U) is the best single player one Currently Nintendoland is the best multiplayer one NES Remix is the best 2D one Pushmo is the best puzzle one (began on 3DS) Tomadachi life is the most addictive and the biggest time sink (3DS) Steel Diver is the most boring in my book, even after the reboot (both on 3DS) Bravely Default is my favorite new RPG currently (3DS, and Nintendo help Square develop it and Nintendo holds publishing rights outside of Japan) The new IPs I plan to buy (including Spin offs) for the next 7 months are: Hyrule Warriors (The Western release is this month) Captain Toad - his quirky puzzle levels in 3D World were so popular, Nintendo gave into demands and spun him into his own game on Wii U (Comes out this December) CODE S.T.E.A.M is a weird gritty steampunk Turnbased SRPG from the makers of Fire Emblem. It is set in the 1860s in U.S. and U.K. features the civil war, Lincoln, Queen Victoria and Aliens (Come out in the first half of 2015 barring no delays on 3DS) Mario Maker, It is the official software that allows you 2D Mario levels! (Wii U in the first half of 2015) Splatoon, Nintendo's paintball shooter. You can play campaign mode, together with friends and/or online. (Wii U first half of 2015). Project Giant Robot and Project Guard, if they don't get folded into Star Fox that is due out in 2015. With this all said, the biggest complaint against Nintendo for the past 3 years is Nintendo's focus on New IPs and lesser IPs at the expense of their core franchises such as Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, etc... In the E3 interviews and on Twitter people asked Nintendo why they are ignoring their main staple franchises and how that is driving gamers away. They asked them multiple times why they are ignoring gamers demands for a new mainline Mario title. Nintendo also asked why they are ignoring gamers demand for more platformers. Lastly Nintendo was repeatedly asked why they are making new IPs, when there is no demand for them. IGN and others have responded to the new IPs and especially Splatoon with articles wishing these new IPs were platformers in th vein of Mario and DK. IGN summed it up best with their editorial at Gamescon, on why they wish Splatoon was another 3D platformer instead of a paintball shooter and how Nintendo is seeminly ignoring platformers and adventure games. http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/08/18/gamescom-2014-splatoon-why-i-wish-it-was-a-different-game

Wow, I never noticed this was such an issue, probably cause I'm not a fan of Bayonetta. Still, I'd caution you from lumping gamers all into one category. I think it was mainly Bayonetta fanboys who got pissed that it was WiiU exclusive. I don't know if it was a very good decision on Nintendo's part to buy a sequel for Bayonetta. Kind of a waste of money if you ask me. I doubt it will help them sell more hardware and the sales of the game probably won't be that great since WiiU has such a small install base. It definitely was more than just Bayonetta fanboys, it may have begun as fanboys , but it quickly spread to the mainstream media. Literally Bayonetta 2 was dead due to how badly it sold on PS3/360 (1 million sales is not enough for many games these days). Games like Bayonetta 2 help diversify a library, just like Kameo and Viva Pinata did for 360 and LittleBigPlanet and Knack due for Playstation. I for see Bayonetta 2 giving some bump in sales to Wii U, due to fans of the series. Read this editorial (can't post anything more on this issue without getting off topic) http://playeressence.com/nintendo-is-3rd-party-publishers-worst-nightmare-diego-arias/

NEW 3DS (that's the name) announced: JP-10/11, West-2015
Xenocity replied to Xenocity's topic in Gaming Talk
Will it now? Well then that may be a different story... if I ever desire to play any of those games. As for the GBC example, well, if you played a GBC game with a GB, it would work, it just would render everything in four-color grayscale. For some games this made them difficult or impossible to play since the colors were important to the gameplay, but for other games it didn't matter and you could play it in black and white. The question then is, will games which take advantage of 3DSLL features simply not work in a plain 3DS at all, or will they start up and play just fine but you'll have to manage without the extra features? Actually that not entirely true. Black carts are backward compatible with regular Gameboys, but had enhanced features when used on a Gameboy Color. Gameboy Color exclusive carts are clear! There are ~60 exclusive to GBC. http://www.gamefaqs.com/gbc/916513-game-boy-color/faqs/7700 The clear cartridges will not boot on a regular Gameboy or a Super Gameboy! Like I've posted many times before in this thread Xenoblade Chronicles 3DS (Port of the Wii game) is the first game to be exclusive to the NEW 3DS.- 11 Replies

Uhm, citations and sources please... You're painting with way too broad a brush. You need to qualify your statements with examples. Just because some gamers and some members of the press may have expressed disdain for Nintendo's business model over the past few years doesn't mean they hate Nintendo. It even made it on Forbes. http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/09/14/angry-bayonetta-fans-lash-out-at-platinum-games-over-wii-u-exclusivity/ Kotaku claims it is B.S.: http://kotaku.com/5945445/actually-it-is-kinda-bs-that-bayonetta-2-is-a-wii-u-exclusive CVG the main gaming publication in the UK: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/368252/bayonetta-2-announced-as-wii-u-exclusive/ http://www.computerandvideogames.com/368676/features/opinion-angry-bayonetta-fans-should-calm-down-and-welcome-the-wii-u-lifeline/ Here is destructoid: http://www.destructoid.com/-fans-of-bayonetta-to-kill-themselves-over-wii-u-sequel-234997.phtml Again another story with the reddit page linked: http://www.complex.com/pop-culture/2012/09/gamers-responses-to-bayonetta-2-wii-u-exclusivity-its-not-pretty Yet another story: http://ourcadegames.com/2014/02/27/bayonetta-2-the-one-that-got-away/ Here is the link to the Bayonetta 2 boycott site: http://bayonetta2boycott.wordpress.com/ There was a running petition to try and force the game multiplatform, though I'm not sure if it is still going on. I mean it was unveiled Sept 13th 2012 and made headlines on a lot of gaming sites dennouncing it and Kayima and Platinum Twitter feed was quite active for a few weeks. Though many still express their issues on there on a regular basis. Platinum and Nintendo were even met with angry responses on Twitter this E3 when Bayonetta 2 was announced for this October. This is just from a quick search.

Mario Kart 8: Loads of new content revealed, preordering beings tomorrow!
Xenocity replied to Xenocity's topic in Gaming Talk
These are essentially expansion packs (there not just for PC) All true DLC leaves some code in base game, which is how people find out ahead of the announcement. There is no code for these expansions in the based game. Mario Kart team decided to build expansion packs after the game shipped to market based partly on consumer feedback. Here is another way to look at it: We get one Mario Kart per system. Super Mario Kart - 16 tracks Mario Kart 64 - 16 tracks Mario kart Double Dash - 16 tracks Mario. Kart Wii - 32 tracks Mario Kart 8 - 32 tracks base game, 48 with both expansions added. Has the most parts and characters by far. (Handheld ones obviously not listed) It's likely we'll end up with 64+ tracks in the end due to all the expansions in the end There is plenty to unlock in Mario Kart 8 ( I'm not even close to unlocking everything)- 15 Replies

NEW 3DS (that's the name) announced: JP-10/11, West-2015
Xenocity replied to Xenocity's topic in Gaming Talk
Actually the New 3DSs have exlcusive software in development similar to what GBC had (yes Nintendo views GBC as revision of the original GB.) The first game to be exclusive is the port of Xenoblade chronicles which uses the added power to fully run the game! Many other titles will be compatible with the new features and specs. First game to run better is Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, it also allows you to use the added triggers and c-stick as well Smash Bros. 3DS also uses NFC for amiibo (you can buy the stand alone adapter for the existing models) Many other games should see performance boost and possibly patches to add in new button support. The eshop, miiverse, and web browser also run better and faster. The volume switch has been moved to the left side of the top screen The systems also have a built in light sensor that automatically adjust the screen brightness The systems also have eye tracking to optimize the 3D effect The battery is also bigger The card slot is now on the bottom which is great since I won't by accident pop out the card while playing (I've done it before) The new 3DS has bigger screens while the XL doesn't. There are plenty of features here to warrant an upgrade for heavy handheld gamers like myself. Though after you transfer your files, you can sell the original system to get most of your money back. Speaking of buying multiple systems: The average PS1 owner had 1.5 systems due to many people buying multiples due to it being a cheap CD player at the time. The average PS2 owner had 3 systems due to it being one the of cheapest DVD players on market until 2004. The average Xbox 360 owners bought 5 systems due the RRoD issues and later hardware revisions fixing it (they couldn't wait for their fixed systems to be sent back) DSi had some exclusive software as well. DSi XL was the best model overall. Funny story "New Coke" still wins out in blind taste tests against Coke Classic and Pepsi. "New Coke" suffered from a cultural backlash, which caused the public to rise up. Hell every time Coke changes the package and cans the public forces them to revert back. The last time was in holiday 2011 when Coke went to the polar bear cans for the season to raise awareness and money for polar bears. The cans lasted literally 3 weeks before public pressure forced the red cans back early. Now Coke bläk was the worst ever! I plan to get the black main one over the XL. Personally I need something that easily fits in my pocket. I love my current XL, but it is a pain to carry with me. My current XL will become my home system while the new black one will be for traveling. I also plan to get some exchangeable face plates (I love differ designs). I also plan to use the new one for Monster Hunter 4U and Xenoblade (I want to replay it but not on my TV) I also hope the new systems get an exclusive Pokemon game like GBC (it was crystal)- 11 Replies

Just download the Steam version (it works fine) and download the Mac version of NAM 32. The only noticeable difference is the file cap on mods, preventing larger mods from working right if at all.

It's not the samething. Gamers and the press hate Nintendo for "ruining" gaming over the past 13 years. Many gamers and media outlets have openly stated they'd rather the game be canceled than have Nintendo release it. Off topic but I would argue that Nintendo is for kids and we have to stop fighting this idea. There is nothing wrong with being for kids. I see Nintendo as the Disney of video games and we should embrace that, not reject it. Besides, just because something is for kids doesn't mean adults can't enjoy it. Look at Pixar movies, they are all for kids, but they are so good they can be enjoyed by everyone. This is what Nintendo needs to focus on and this is all they need to be. They need to stop trying to pander to 'hardcore gamers' by trying to have Arkham City, Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs, ZombieU and Bayonetta on their consoles. Actually Nintendo goal is to produce and publish games for everyone. Every system they've released have had games rated E-M (NES and SNES had a few AO games). It just happens in NA, that the press focuses on the E rated games despite Nintendo pushing the higher rated games. Wii U has a bunch of M rated games, ZombiU didn't get any marketing from Ubisoft though it was bunlded with Wii Us for a short time. Wii U has Fatal Frame 5 launching in a few weeks in Japan and the Fatal Frame franchise is exclusive to Nintendo now. Though most companies have ended their T and M rated support due to the lack of sales (Though to be fair they didn't market those games and stealth released many of them with missing DLC). Wii had the most violent game of the last gen exclusively released for it (well it did grace PS2 in an even more limited release) from Rockstar called Manhunt 2 (which is a game that is about murdering people violently). Wii also had quite the library of M rated games, including the best version of RE4 (it matched the PS2 version in sales). Gamecube had first party M rated games (Eternal Darkness was the best horror game of that time) and had many uncensored games which received a hard M rating (not soft M) for nudity that was censored on PS2 and Xbox. Even their handhelds get some M rated games, many of which do actually well. The point is, Nintendo's systems receive the most diverse software libraries than their competitors (PS2 being the sole exception). Also Bayonetta 2 is releasing on October 24th for NA, EU is TBA.

Someone leaked part of the roster (possibly not final roster) for the 3DS version. The current number stands at 48 fighters Returning characters not yet formally revealed: Falco Wario Game & Watch King Dedede Jigglypuff ROB Leaked characters (yes Nintendo unofficially confirmed it by claiming copyright infringment on Youtube): There is unconfirmed possible DLC characters. There is talk of the Wii U version having even more characters. Anyways you can follow along here http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=881810

What do you do once your city is full and productive?
Xenocity replied to Rufus Honker IV's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
I personally love the challenge of having my cities perfectly developed and fine tuned to the smallest details. I've yet to be able to max out a city in Simcity 1, Simcity 4 (come close), or Simcity 2013 (come close) I also regularly redevelop part of the city to meet my fickle view. I love redeveloping in Simcity 2013, for some reason it is way more fun than the previous games. I do suffer from OCD... -

Xenocity replied to Xenocity's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Actually I find it to be quite profitable, since the slighest disaster will pay out. -
Well this is only a timed exclusive for 2015. Tomb Raider did finally turn a profit late last year after passing the 6M mark. Microsoft is paying a good amount for Rise of Tomb Raider, which should make this game profitable really fast. Once this game goes multiplatform in 2016, it should be more profitable than the previous game.

I thought The Sims was one of the flagship casual PC titles that gamers regularly hate? I'm honestly surprised anyone on here actually has played The Sims. With that said, I don't plan to touch it (I grew bored of The Sims after a few hours of the first game).

Simcity - What couldve been
Xenocity replied to Aprince's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
I'm not arguing with you, but you fail to understand how the core simulation works in simcity 2013 and the statistical engine that powered the first 4 games. Statistical engine was based on number crunching and equations to make everything run (think of it as a glorified excel spreadsheet) Agent based simulation for goes all of that and let's you program everything down to the smallest detail. All new simulations even non gaming ones use a variation of agents. These simulations are more realistic then the statistical approach. I'm probably not explaining this clearly, feel free to research it. Each Simcity game has lost features of its predecessors. Depending on which version of Simcity 1 determines what you lost going to 2000. We lost in most cases: expo center Central train station windmills landmarks main city park police HQ fire HQ, draw bridges and a few others. Depending on which version of Simcity 2000 (there were 8 versions) determined what you lost going to 3000. We lost: future building sets arcologies (all 4 kinds) hydroelectric power plants waterfalls, having a regular volcano in your city the city council (they would enact ordinances without your approval) the cutscenes each building having there own pipes (you only had to connect them to watered building or water main) the newspaper (all major events would shown in newspaper form) bond rating (like in real life, it determines the interest rats you borrow at) the ability to place signs, the ability to place labels the giant alien spider disaster the ability to build a a road that has tunnel and bridge connected, online region play The ability to dispatch the military and a few others. Simcity 3000/3000U to Simcity 4/Deluxe We lost: The 3 different building designs (I missed Asian buildings) The built in building creation tool Many of the special building including the Mega Mall. The petitioners A few power plants (I miss Microwave) Many landmarks Many disasters as well Simcity 2000 is still the most feature rich Simcity game right out of the box! The only real gripe with Simcity 2013 is the city sizes. Everything else has very little impact on the core simulation. They could release an expansion pack for bigger cities, though it would probably require most of us to upgrade our PCs. This is why CoT is the way it is. Airships are a separate DLC that has nothing to do with CoT or anything else for that matter CoT does have drones for Omega and emergency vehicles. Maxis purposely scaled down the game to run on most peoples computers, instead of having to relive the Simcity 4 launch when people had trouble running it at minimum specs (these folks complained loudly). Simcity 2013 was leaked by people who were participating in the market research. Will Wright before he left Maxis stated that Simcity 4 was too complex for most people and the new Simcity would go back to the basics. We've had 7 years to prepare for this. I forgot to tell you a few of the original maps are glitch ridden (use google to find the list). Now make like a Simcity 4 player and start modding your game to fix it!!!! P.S. You don't have to respond to this, since this is my last post in here. Just focus on how much we've lost moving on from Simcity 2000. -
