  1. Vacationing Genoa

https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Coverbook1.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Coverbook2.jpg align=baseline> Vacationing in Genoa Each traveler passing through Genoa comes away with a different impression of this vast coastal country. Whether it's the lazy summers spent by the Como Lakes, the lavish shopping in New Ostia, floating along Vittoria's quaint canals, or simply siteseeing in any of Genoa's numerous museums - the country has something for everyone. Genoa has been enchanting travelers for centuries if not millenia. Between Vittoria's ancient Liberty Hill and the modern skyscrapers of New Ostia's Finance District lie over two thousand, five hundreds years of history's most precious moments. Of course, there lies the conundrum - How can one possibly see Genoa? Take heart though, SIMtours, INC. is here to offer our services. We provide the most detailed travel guide to make your vacation a perfect one. We sampled every fruit from Melaverde, saw each one of Michelangelo's brushstrokes in the National Pieta Museum, even tried on every tuxedo in the Galleria Fiero just to ensure our customers had the very best of Genoa. Your vacation starts now, get ready for the time of your life. Disclamer Genoa is a made up country which may or may not be heavily borrowed from other similar European countries, SIMtours does not exist - everything I say is a lie, except that, and that, and that... and that. Bascially, the only time this CJ won't be engrossed in this picturesque world is wherever these nice little red words appear and of course any replies I get. I decided to start a CJ which aims at realism not only in SC4 but in a credible history as well. This CJ will be a tour of Genoa, starting with one city and moving along to the next. Do not expect the updates to be very frequent because I want to put a lot of work into them to ensure the best quality. While playing in Genoa, I used many cheats like as much money as I pleased (it's hard to create realism without plopping a few buildings here and there), I also unlocked all rewards (I'll explain in a second), reduced pollution in half with a mod and used Andreas Roth's garbage shipping yard to combat the ridiculously high trash and pollution outputs of some of the plopped buildings. To make things more exciting, I use the Industry quadrupler so I don't have to have huge cities of industry, it's too annoying and boring in my opinion. I also use NAM and thousands of other custom BATs from Simtropolis and a few from other websites that I'll try to remember if anyone asks. As I mentioned earlier I unlocked all rewards. Not only because sometimes I need a reward plop that I couldn't otherwise, but also because my cities are a bit unusual. Due to my computer's slower performance, I have split every major city into medium sized quadrants, sometimes even more than 4 medium sizes. I have frequently had problems with SC4 randomly shutting down, so this may slow down updating as well. If I show one picture that looks different from another (although it shouldn't since this is a travel guide not an ever changing look at SC4) it's probably because my computer crashed and I had to start over again after taking the picture. After all these nice disclaimers, I hope you decide to return and even reply to this CJ to learn more about the wonderful world of Genoa.
  2. If you downloaded every lot and bat file.

Awh, I only have a Gig and a half, but the worst is scrolling through it all. The wait isn't so bad since I upgraded my RAM, but it's still long. What's crazy though is that many BATs really doesn't scratch the surface of how much is on the STEX, I'd make a guess of somewhere around 30 Gigs.
  3. Yes 9 and 14 are my favorites, though I kinda like 3b as well. The BATs themselves I think make it look great though.
  4. Vacationing Genoa

Why thank you. I'm kinda partial to the Med houses myself, but those beaches sure do look inviting.
  5. hkabat-forum-threads Hong Kong / Asia BAT team

Oh, some excellent work here guys. That complex is turning out nicely.
  6. Prepos BAT Thread

    wow very nice
  7. Very nice work here. I'd love to see these beautiful creations in my cities, good luck.
  8. LA River Project

Oh it's looking great. The bridge piece works really well, as does the end piece!
  9. Vacationing Genoa

Pretemare Day 2 The next day be sure to visit the beautiful beaches along the East Island and bring some money to spend in the plentiful shops. Of course there is also plenty of places to stay along the beach as well, for a pretty penny. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20clubs,%20shops%20and%20bars.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20med%20shops.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20shops%20and%20beach%20goers.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20palm%20tree%20cluster.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20large%20beach%20condos.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20park%20and%20shops.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20sun%20bathers4.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20sun%20bathers1.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20sun%20bathers2.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20pier%20and%20boats.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20sun%20bathers3.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20sun%20bathers5.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20East%20Island%20-%20residentials.jpg align=baseline> That's all for now folks. Next time we head to the mainland for more beaches and resorts.
  10. Arques - European Countryside

    Impressive countryside, so colorful!
  11. Jason's BATs & Tutorials

Some great work so far. I downloaded your latest creation just as soon as I saw it and can't wait to see it in game.
  12. Arcane Island CJ

    Great start, gotta love it.
  13. BAT Projects - SimGoober

As prolific as SG is, I don't think an entire team could really do justice to Las Vegas. It just seems like so much work its ridiculous.
  14. LA River Project

Wait a sec, the water is pink...? It looks like the stuff from Ghostbusters 2. I mean other than that, the BAT is great and very realistic!
  15. BAT Log - St Pancras Station

Looking wonderful. Do you have a picture of the real life version?
  16. Oh boy, I'm glad you're releasing that hospital on the STEX, it's the coolest looking one so far!
  17. BAT Log - St Pancras Station

Wow beautiful, you've done an amazing job so far
  18. Green Depra

That red brick texture works well with all the green and is very fitting for the Christmas season!
  19. Haha, gotta love the choices for mayor. That government square is very nice looking too, I'm impressed with how much work you put into each update, good job and Merry Christmas.
  20. Vacationing Genoa

Pretemare Day 1 Itinerary We start in Pretemare with a first look at the Westernly barrier island. Many beach goers stay here during the holidays for those precious moments in the sun. Because of the heavy influence of neighboring New Ostia, there iisn't as heavily a mediterrean influence on Pretemare. However, a lot still remains from older times. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20West%20Island%20-%20column%20square.jpg align=baseline> Pretemare's coast is lined with beaches all with some of the highest property values in the country. Not everyone gets to live next to such beautiful beaches. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20West%20Island%20-%20boats%20and%20pier.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20West%20Island%20-%20beach%20fun.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20West%20Island%20-%20beach%20and%20shops.jpg align=baseline> There is also a small fishing dock, with some nice shops along the boardwalk. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20West%20Island%20-%20sea%20village%20shops.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20West%20Island%20-%20docks%20and%20shops.jpg align=baseline> One popular place to visit is the Tiki Bar and Resort, which is always crowded and festive. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20West%20Island%20-%20Tiki%20Bar.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20West%20Island%20-%20Tiki%20Cmplex.jpg align=baseline> Here's the tourism office, and the line outside the door goes way down the street, busy place. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20West%20Island%20-%20tourism%20office.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Pretemare%20-%20West%20Island%20-%20downtown.jpg align=baseline> Hope you liked it all. As I said, I'm focusing more on screenshots than back story, cause that can be suprisingly time-consuming.
  21. Anduin Valley Revisited

Oh I love that mall, MOM indeed. That whole complex is nicely designed, good job!
  22. Green Depra

I've never seen a CJ better personify a single color. Everything in Depra is definately all about the green. The buildings are timeless too, beautifully done!
  23. Thames: British style CJ

Oh man, I really love that Granthasthom, beautiful little city. But the real question is where do you come up with such crazy names like that??? Also, those Underground maps are great.
  24. Florence Valley

At first I thought this was Florence Italy, but it's still amazingly beautiful nonetheless. The terraforming is really great, and the dam is well done. Perhaps I'll get to see some old renessaince in there, I mean with a name like Florence?
  25. Far Away and Long Ago

Coming along nicely. I like the progression since the begining of the CJ.
