The map Map was originally made by Flamesrock Coastal Mountain Bypass but I've changed the greyscale in Photoshop adding more rivers and higher mountains. Took me 10 maps and a month of work to get it the way I wanted it. The region is 1537x1025 with 24 large cities. British Columbia? I've been inspired by the landscape of BC and I'll be using some BC town names and more. But I'm not trying to make BC. If you live in BC maybe you'll recognise some names. Region pic If you think it's too big to download, well be happy I didn't use the Psd-file, 80mb... If the links doesn't work, send me a PM! Thanks. Take Care /Marcus

Amazing! Very cool tree layout, original. Those farms look great too.

That's one huge avenue!! And yes, Communism rocks... yeah... right...

Great updates! Very beautiful landscape. I too have to ask about Hako Moore... The dead trees, where do you find them? Are they Cycledogg?? And I see some other cool trees that I want... Which tree mods do you use?

How to Colorize/Make district Pictures
the_crispbread_witch replied to wodsworth's topic in New Members Information
Well since I made the picture, I'll let you know how it's done. I'm using a image software called The Gimp. It's as close you can get to Photoshop for free, download on download.com. I use the Path tool to create a selection. I then use the bucket fill tool. With the bucket fill I can set the opacity (around 20%) that gives the transparent look. (I fill the selection with the bucket) Quite easy... And why don't you all check out my CJ! -
The landscape looks so much better with trees! Great work. Will be nice to see how the rural area develops.

Courtenay, the tour! Oh Yeah, today we'll start the Courtenay City Tour! Just to help you remeber the whole region and the two previous towns. (Yes, I'm a slow builder) And now, Courtenay: Let's have a look at the districts we're visiting: Today: Burnaby Village Brick buildings The school and church The Pine Trail Next update: Puntledge! Comments: Thanks for the comments! You're all right about the brick buildings, looks very nice to me. -
Long time since my last visit. That's a great industrial area with a cool rail line! I have to come here more often.

Construction Question! I need some advice, tell me what you think about these brick houses, should I save them to make an all brick neighbourhood? Or let the time run and let larger buildings grow? It might also turn into a R -
I just want to agree with Dupontfan24, a good tutorial and pictures of all NAM pieces. Very interesting to see the new NAM site.

This is not a bump, it's an update! Really! GLR Development The train was going really fast but I think I managed to get focus on it... dhoppeii: Page 6, I need to do a table of contents! Darmok: Yeah, the wind blew away the trees! Or was it Jeroni's ploppable Maxis trees that replaced my Cycledogg flora brush... Working on that... SS454: Thanks! The water texture... Emeraldisles Could be in this texture pack. Btw, I'm quite busy with work so the small updates will continue. Too bad work is fun! -
Wow! Just amazing, and it's gone! Can't imagine how that felt... Nice that you could save some pictures. The level of detail is just... wow...

Long time since I posted here. Nice to see some new faces! Well I got a new camera (actually, a new mobile phone) so I took a picture... Btw, I made the mosquito-like lamp in the corner...

Yes, it's still alive!! =) I was thinking of building a giant castle or something like that, but yeah, I like farms you know... A good opportunity to try out the new PEG CDK-IND ferry thing. (On the south side of the island) Trying out some residential. Going very slow... Comments Great to see so many people here. Thanks for the comments. Nardo69: Yeah I know about the left side of the bridge. Fixed now! Btw, anyone know a good CJ with lots of GLR?? I need some inspiration! -
Great GLR! I'm voting B because I think mid-rise buildings look better than high.
-
Beautiful! Very nice graphics and everything's looking very good!

Small update Just flattening the land. I'm trying different designs of avenue combined with GLR, passing through downtown. The new bridge. Big and beautiful. Next to it, the rail bridge. The harbour. Still doesn't have road connection... Comments I'm having serious RLS! Building Courtenay will take a couple of weeks. But I'll try to show more pictures like these. mike_oxlong: I really, reallly like your signature!! theprofessor172: So I guess you've been to Comox? Maybe you'll see some familiar names in the cj. -
Great! To bad I already have the new NAM... Nice to see a picture of the avenue on-slope too. Like eburress asked in that thread, I can't get it to work. Now I know why I don't like the NAM... Better keep that to myself... I'll guess I'll just reinstall the NAM again.
-
Hi! I haven't followed the NAM development and I don't use the NAM that much because I never build highways. So I'm sorry if this is old. Has there been any talk about avenue on slope pieces? This is the avenue overpass connected with two road on slope pieces. It actually works... If you go the right direction.... It would look much better with avenue on slope!

Yes, I'm actually playing SC4! Welcome to Courtenay, British Columbia! I'm always starting with the industrial area, to get some power to the city, and jobs of course... I'll be building a large residential area too. Got the diagonal streets working! I've removed my Tar sealed street texture from the plugin. I've had some problems building the rail line, hopefully it will end up kinda realistic. Close up of industrial: Jacqulina: I've put the roundabout file in the NAM folder, wich should be in the Program-plugin folder, not in the my documents folder. The road texture is called tar sealed streets and I think it's from Trolca's street mod. -

Hey Mika! Bye bye Marsalia! Sad to see it go to sleep but I'm really looking forward to see the Experimental CJ. Are you gonna be a batter now? That would be cool.
