speaking of circuses....notice in the new trailers they had like 200(think new york city downtown) sims walking around an un-dense residential area? Thats just unrealistic and a complete circus cluster crap. -

lets just also keep this in check...........solo is like someone joining a counter strike server by themselves.........its multi-player GAME MODE but your SOLO. This game does not , I repeat ....does not have a SINGLE PLAYER GAME MODE! That should clear up all this fighting. -

In short: Those who can buy it won't, and those who would buy it can't. Wow this post is probably the best example of truth packed into a very small statement. Props! -
SimCity: Terraforming
alex macnamara replied to Nevets13's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
ill buy once terraforming is in, a real single player is in, an official statement from Maxis saying once we pull the servers we will give you an offline patch, and last not least, regions fixed. I will not change my stance on this no matter what Maxis has to add. -

Do you think Maxis will acknowledge the discontent from the community?
alex macnamara replied to William Gates's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
yea I was wondering what compelling reason it was to make a retarded villians pack?! And hello to day 1 DLC including the Europe tiles sets! If they would have spent more time making a real game rather than worthless DLC we "could" have a real city builder. -

Concept art? Your about 4 months late for that! There was 2 interview article posted by the developers themselves that told us the exact features they were pulling. You may be living under a rock and not up to speed. THINGS ARE CONFIRMED! We dont need to play the game to find out there isnt terraforming and any other feature missing because the devs themselves TOLD US. -

Community Interviews Maxis: Part 2
alex macnamara replied to Jokurr's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
hahah, Sim City on facebook is REAL bad.....about 96% of the comments are bashing the game. AND THIS IS ON FACEBOOK. The comments even appear under unrelated wall posts such as "________________is the first sim city game you played" One of the answers was "Sim City w/o an internet connection" WAHAHAHAHAH. The maxis interview #2 is getting real heat. If that doesn't change the direction of the game, im sure it wont change the direction of where my wallet is going. Look what this tard had to say Um say that again? WE screwed over Cities XL ? The last time I checked my name wasnt Monte Cristo -
Community Interviews Maxis: Part 2
alex macnamara replied to Jokurr's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Appreciate the devs for being honest. As it still stands, ive reached a level 5 of definately not buying. He did say something about experimenting with map size, but what good does that do when we have more serious issues? We still have unaddressed problems such as modding and cloud saves. The "I told you so" factor is still strong. Whats scary is all of our pessimistic/hunches have actually turned true. Give the game a chance? too late for that now. "But you dont know what good undisclosed features will be in the game!" It doesnt matter if they include 5000 lots, awesum physics from tornadoes, many bridges, interchanges, and vxf.... it doesnt negate the fact that its all candy and doesnt apply to the core issues. ill say this from another thread about the whole "rebooting" justification. You got a game like Call of Duty, and then one called Sim City. Call of Duty is the same old crap every year and nothing new. Sim City has always improved each and every release. Sim City also has a 10 year dev gap unlike COD. Who deserves to be rebooted? Call of Duty needs it! They need to be "re-invented" . Sim City on the other hand need not to mess with it. It never has any problems. You dont re-invent or reboot something that works. Do you reboot you computer right after you had a successfull boot? My point exactly. -

"(German Community): System Specs: Can you run SimCity with 64bit windows 7? " seriously they had to pick this one to answer? are they that dumb? I bet the question it replaces was about cloud saves or something -

I wish they weren't calling it simply "Simcity"
alex macnamara replied to simcityer73's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
HAHAHAHAHHA! or "Hi im Ocean, lets browse simptropolis and acknowledge the wonderful things Simcity 4 has become, and then with that in mind, completley disregard that information and destroy the franchise. I think we should get more sales now." no sarcasm -
I always read these "suggestive whims" and get all riled up about it if it can be possible. 4x4 would be nice, but then someone slaps right across my mouth and reminds me that........... no HD saves, probably no modding because of the cloud/multiplayer <---these are mandatory for a city building game

I'm sure its been confirmed that city specialisation is not forced on us. It is simply possible. without specializing I think your "limited" Your region will cap out too soon. They stated that somewhere in the official articles.

Simcity Reboot doomed by the fans?
alex macnamara replied to Zombeast's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
remember that the reviews are bought in by EA/Maxis. Gamespy/PCgamer/IGN ect. are paid by EA to give them good ratings. Juss saying -
glad you agree, now agree with us thats this is a niche game and it will tank if the single player experience is still ignored.
