I'm still puzzled about why people keep thinking and depicting smoke comming out of refrigeration towers. Is it really so hard to distinguish between a chimney and a refrigeration tower?
It's steam from the water evaporating. Look at any nuclear plant and you'll see.
very cool! could u tell us the lot size? i don't like trying to count invisible tiles lol, and night lighting could use some work, that'd be cool if the sphere lit up at night and had colorful spotlights shining up the pedestal. but looks great in day!
From what I can see, it seems to be 8x8
Going to try this. As for descrip what is currently being attempted is fusion generation using what is called a Tomahawk reactor which is basically a torus, doughnut shapped, assembly of electromagnets to create the containment field. To be continued as there is a limit on characters
Its name is actually the Tokamak, not Tomahawk
i just learned this in science class, and what really confuses me is that when fusion occurs, one element changes to another, helium changes to hydrogen...anyone have help on why this is like this?
Its the other way around. When the hydrogen isotopes get enough energy (e.g. heat), it moves fast enough that when it hits other hydrogen atoms that they stick, or fuse, together, into helium isotopes. It requires intense heat, in excess of 180,000,000 Fahrenheit, which is why the only sustained fusion reactions observed have been in stars. The experimental reactors can only hold the reaction for 10 minutes, until the energy is consumed. To keep the toroidal structure intact, the plasma is contained in a strong magnetic field.
