Hmm, I just found this topic, and some of the replies interest me. 1. I'm closer to this than any of you. And I'm not worried one bit, so stop worrying! I live a 5 minute bird flight across the sea from Cellardyke where they found it. 2. I believe the bird died somewhere else, maybe over in Europe and was washed up here by the tides, therefore there is very little risk that it has contaminated anything else. 3. There has been nothing in the news about it since then. Trust me the mdeia is making it much worse than it sounds. I was away when it was reported, and I came back the following day, expecting to see men in white wasing our car and huge white tents in the fields. There was nothing. And this only 10 miles across the Firth of Forth, so I wasn't worried, and I still am not worried.

As I see it, holiday's with your family are a good thing, you're not going to be able to do it for much longer, and although I'm looking forward to holidays when I can go with friends and do my own thing, I still enjoy holidays with my family very much. Anyway, back on topic... My best holiday was Florida too. I went in 2004, my first ever time to the States, and I stayed on I Drive in Orlando. We rented a car and went to all the usual places. Universal Studios, the Islands of Adventure (r0x0rz my s0x0rz BTW!!!), Wet n' Wild, Kennedy Space Centre and Busch Gardens. We also did some less common tourist stuff. The raft rides over the swamps was AMAZING. You know those big rafts with the huge fan on the back that glides over the water. There was loads over Alligators all over the state. At first it was like "OMG, look, teh g4t0r5!!!111" but then after a while it was like "Yeah...another alligator...yeah ok...". Anyway, just a little about my time in Florida....

After 270 years of black, Prime Minister of the UK, Tony Blair has announced that he wants the door to No 10 to be painted red. The red is apparently to be associated with the Labour Party. One MP said that "there are some things you can't put a good spin on and this clearly politicises one of the most powerful images in British democracy". The move had not been previously announced and shocked onlockers stared as workmen hoisted the door onto the hinges at the entrance to the Prime Minister's resdience. An American tourist, Earl Myers said that he "can't believe Mr Blair has changed one of England's most famous landmarks. George Bush would never paint the door of the White House a different colour, even with the stars and stripes." There are infact two doors to No 10 which alternate to be cleaned thourougly, and it is unclear whether or not the other door is red too, or whether red and black will alternate. The door has always been black, apart from between 1908 to 1916 when Herbert Asquith painted it green. A design consultant, April Fewell said that it is "a significant declaration of personal ownership by Tony Blair. But it sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the street."

I do stupid stuff all the other time. Just yesterday I bored a hole into my Tipp-Ex bottle with a pen nib. It was still half full too... Before that, I have established the "School Olympics" and 'interviewed' (using my hand as a mic) people on events such as "Lunch Scoffing" and "Class Running". At school camp we took two of the four support boards out from underneath the top bunks, so that when people sat on them the matress fell right through into a kind of u-shape with the person sandwiched between both ends of the matress... Then my (strict) German teacher caught me when I was joking with my friends that if we didn't get 110% on our tests she'd kill us. Luckily she only heard me doing the gun noises though... I have also pitched a tent over a bog, and that same day tried to lead my expedition group down a hillside of heather. You couldn't see the ground and had to guess where it was, we kept falling and rolling down the hill. Nothing incredibly stupid, but someone I know is going to cycle a bike off the roof of a shop near where I live. Should be good for a larf..

What a cool bridge, I've seen them like that before but I like that one for some reason. Germany has that, Italy has the Rome Aqueducts, and Britains has: The Falkirk Wheel!!! It's the best we can dae!

Joerg's pack contains only lot versions of airport terminals. The SWAP contains the first and currently only Modular Airport Pack on the STEX. I reccomend it.

As said somewhere already, the SCJU was intended to not only unite a number of our fictional CJ countries, but to keep interest in the game. If it hadn't been for the SCJU, I waould have lost interest in my CJ along time ago, just like the other ones I had before Calderwood (I am still playing BTW, but recent problems in RL and on my computer have delayed much picture taking). The union idea adds a whole new level to CJ Storytelling. Interaction becomes so much more easier, and interesting and complex storylines can develop almost on their own. Not many people would realise that playing "Politcs" would be so fun, I didn't, it bored the heck out of me, but because of the SCJU, now it really interests me. I've alos made new friends. Most of the members I didn't know, but now I know each one of them, and it has made the experience all the more fun. This is the real point of the unions for anyone who wants to know. And we shouldn't let petty arguments come in the way, unless they are being roleplayed.

A decade ago next week, 16 pupils of Dunblane Primary School were shot as they took part in a PE class in the school gym. 16 pupils and a teacher were shot dead by a gunman who later turned the gun on himself on the 13th of March 1996. Many other children and another teacher were shot and injured, the teacher shot 4 times in the arms shielding the children, but survived and now has full control of her arms again. There has never been such an incident in a UK school since, and I don't think there was ever before. As where I live is only about 50 miles from Dunblane, I remember coming home from school and my mum hugging me really tightly. My dad was in London on business at the time, and the name of where I live also begins with "Dun", so for a split second he probably thought that it had happened at my school. I was only 5 or 6 at the time, the age that the P1 pupils were when they were shot by a known gun holder in the area... I'm rather confident that this was worldwide news, so where were you and how did you react when you find out?

I just saw an article on the news about plans to televise high profile court cases. I think it would be on a seperate Sky channel, but I think it's quite interesting, especially for young people hoping to become lawyers. Everyone would have to agree to it being televised, but I still think it could work. I think by high profile they mean countrywide cases like large crimesprees etc, but they could also mean famous people's cases, like the Michael Jackson trial. What do the Brits think of this, and what does anyone who's country has Court TV think about it?

He just walked in and shot all the little kids who were doing PE in the gym hall. They were only 5 or 6. It wasn't another pupil turning on the pupils like it was at Columbine, it was a fully grown man, he was known to the police to have a gun, and they knew what kind of person he was, but they didn't act.
