if you want to see a fantastic example of a real world city in SC4, look up thejerseydevil73's City Of Edmonton city journal. its an exact replica of Edmonton, Alberta down to the square meter. its fantastic.

I just got my 1st stage 8 commercial buildings today. In and all comm city (i moved it out of ALL other cities in my region) i first got a van Proijen Trading, than later a Khoury Art Foundation, Cahalane Communications, a Lind Entertainment, lots of stage 7's (yates, barthelet, trottier, etc....) and even...the elusive Pedriana Pharmeceuticals!!! lol i was SOOO Happy!! anyways, i was just wondering what was your first stage 8 building, and how good did you feel when you got it? (lol im stiill excited)

I thought I would start by adding some pictures of Buildings exsisting in Edmonton, Alberta, Some builgins here are beautiful, i will post the ones i hope to eventually build. Scotia Plaza s my fave buildong in the city, this should be a fun one to make This is Manulife Place (Left) and Commerce place (righht). These are the 1st and 4th tallest buildings in the city. This is West Edmonton Mall, the worlds largest mall. This will prove to be very challenging, if i do it, it will take a LONG time. This is Station Lands, a Commercial complex that is planned to be built in Edmonton sometime soon. It consists of 2 towers, both will share the label of tallest building in edmonton, and 2 smaller ones. The concourse will be made of shops and restaurants, etc. TD tower, plain, yet shiny...i like shiny...

wow as always..never ceases to amaze me how much this is actually exactly like edmonton.. us living in the city really get to appreciate how realistic this actually is. how about some close ups of callingwood? havent seen my area in a while..

I hope to NOT let this die like i have other CJ's of mine...I have perfected this region for about a month. I had to find the PERFECT map, the location to start the city, and after much work, i started a city. The region has about 100 000 people, but there is plenty of room for expansion. One MILLION people seems like a good goal. I used the map of Victoria, BC (I also used the name of the city itself). It is a perfect map for what I had in mind with inland areas, plenty of shoreline, a beautiful harbour and even some islands. I will use MAINLY British names (Windsor, Manchester, etc.). Although the city is on a VIctoria map and is called VIctoria, it is NOT based on the actual city at all. If you are against cheats/modds, this CJ is NOT for you. I am not the kind of person who wants to make a city with challenges. My goal is to make a beautiful, aesthetic, semi-realistic city. Starting about halfway through the second page, all pictures are hosted OFFSITE Here is the region so far. The town to the far left is more or less a test to see what i could do with a small town...it will soon be deleted and replaced with the final copy. Victoria Harbour(center) is the planned main commercial center of the region and high class destination. It has a beauriful canal system lined with parks. St. George is a wealthy suburburban area with a large IHT population. I will show more pictures in over the day.... Anyways, I will start this CJ with a question. Where should i build the Main, International Airport?...Commercial development has hit a stall ever since the landing strip was overcrowded. I will use joerg;s airport pack to build a sweet airport, but i have no clue WHERE to build it...It is necessary to any future development of the city, so before i can start the CJ itself, I would really like to see what a good location would be for... Queen Elizabeth International Airport.

Wow.. your talent in terraforming amazes me. I cant wait to see development of cities.. look forward to the future of this beautiful region

sorry to see this one end.. but it was an amazing CJ.. definitley one of my favorite on simtrop. The storyline was so different and amazing. the cities were beautiful i loved your really unique city building style .. and your use of BEX lots were amazing. hope to see some of your other work in the future

------FINISHED I know i said i wouldnt let this one die..But the region seems to have bugged up immensley. I am not quite sure how it happened.. but my computer crashed when I open the Harbour District, St. George and Queen E. International. Seeing these are the centerpoints of my region, there is no point in continuing. Look for a new CJ by me soon, I am looking for a map and such and already have constructed a neat story. ***note the story WAS formed by me at about the time i put in the notice the worlds fair was to be held in Victoria For those of you that were wondering, I WAS mirroring the FLQ [Front de la Liberacion de Quebec] -- pardon my poor french spelling -- and there terroristic seperatism tactics in the late '60's early '70's. I was going to say that the referendum was cancelled because of the immaturity the HS.. And than thats where some major things would happen to the region.. [The border city in the north was planned to be torn apart by bombing]..The next struggle would have been to keep the Worlds Fair Bid running with all of the terrorism in the country, and the danger.. Worlds fair would have happened regardless, but a bomb would have been detonated right in the middle of the pavilion..luckily misfiring but still killing 50 - ish people. This is where the stories deviate.. Victoria separates from Simnation by force, but thankfully missing most of the main population areas, although the border city [Manchester] would be totalled. And than I didn't think after that haha Well hope you enjoyed this last update although you could hardly call it an update really.. heres one last reminder of my beautiful but so .. un-working city// align=baseline> If i fix the bug i will pop in every once in a while and show you new developments, just no more story. I really love how bright everything is and the layout..you really get the latin sense.. All the apartments and hotels along the water and the clubs and stuff really remind me of Miami Beach!!

Looks good, I love the layout, etc but you should do something about the dilapitated buildings [R$$$].. Aside from that keep it up

From MY eyes..of a straight guy..heres some of my thoughts Its total bull that just because certain religions groups STRONGLY disagree with being homosexual, it is not right. If god frowned on a certain group, than why would he even create homosexuality amognst the human race? I have many friends, and of course all of them have different views on homosexuality. Some are homophobic 100%, some are comfortable with it. I am comfortable enough with MY sexuality to hang out with gay people, one of my closest friends is gay. Also its bull that gay people are so different than straight guys. Another aquantance of mine is gay, but by the way he acts you would have never guessed. He dresses, acts, talks, and is hardcore into all sports like a typical straight guy. And it is impossible to be 100% straight. I had this discussion with my friends, and it doesnt bother us at all to think another guy is good looking, I just think they are attractive, but personally can't imagine doing things with another guy. One of the things that makes me the angriest is the discrimination against gays, although lessened in past years, it is still an issue. Look at rascism 30-40 years ago. Schools were segregated, and blacks in many cases werent allowed to even step foot in white people stores, etc. Looking back on that, it is discusting the way we treated other EQUAL humans. I think in another 20 years or so the same will be true for the discrimination about homosexuality. So thats my rant, and in the end, I am happy to live in a world where homosexuality is being more accepted. I am quite glad I am straight, because frankly..girls are.......dead sexy haha and i can;t imagine being with anything but them, but i guess for a gay man, that exact sentence could be reversed thanks for listening to my endless blabber!!! --brett

I was too watching the fireworks and i saw the storm..I am actually in the west of the city so i was quite close when i went home haha.. but Canada day was soo fun a bunch of my friends and me went down to Sylvan Lake for the day and just hung out on the beach..it was beautiful until about 3.30 .. than storms started blowing in, and it wasn't fun anymore so we headed back haha but back on topic the fireworks were quite cool but i missed the Waterfall, does it only run during the day?

Yeah the height of the river was crazy..Luckily most of the city is above the river valley..the river would probably have to rise 100m ish probably more to get to where i live..which i don;t think will happen anytime soon..i hope. haha Anyways, i love all of the light we are getting..its midnight and i can still see light out..it makes the days seem so mych lojnger cause i wake up earlier and go to bed later.. but speaking of going to bed i am EXTREMELY tired gnight all nice to post again..havent in too long haha

haha again i got sidetracked and didnt really play on victoria, BUTTTT i do have some good stuff taht will be going on soon. i said i would be moving away from the quebec seperatist movement and all, but we just did some of that at school and I will be following the timeline with some MAJOR things reversed..so if you are farmiliar with the story, only the end part will be different. alright i will work for a huge update but i doubt it will be ready for later today because i am going away for the weekend but i will have it early in the week. look forward to be working on this again

It actualy looks really good..i am actually surprised ho0w much it resembles the style how i build cities in sc4..but i really like the whole 2 cities metro area..keep it upp
