Date: 9/12/2005 8:05:02 PM Author: nooneatall This CJ opens your eyes moreso than before, and makes you realise the numerous problems with suburbia: violence, congestion, less of a 'neighbourly-feeling' about an area -- suburbs seem almost soulless and lifeless, full of ego-excentric people with no other cares in the world but themselves -- and increasing air polution. Most of all, this huge increase in GHGs caused by suburban lifestyles, is playing a huge role in climate change, ruining ways of life, and possibly the destruction of a race if we are not careful. Powerful storms like hurricane Katrina are a mere taste of what is to come if we are not especially careful. -noonequote> Wow who knew that the emd of the world if going to be caused by suburbs. DOWN WITH THE SUBURBS!!! And all suburbs are not like that. I live in New Jersey in a suburb of NYC and my town is a gride and i know my neighbouers, and sure we have air pollution, but not because of the suburban life stlye but because of all the factories and refineres.

Paterson is not that bad as long as you do not go into certain places. It just looks bad cause it is so old. You do not need to worry about the gettos because all the people want to do there is sell drugs and will not bother you if you dont bother them. I more afaid of the cops cause if they see a white kid driving around they will pull you over a search you because they think you are trying to buy drugs.

Wow very interesting. I know exactly what you are talking about. I live in Saddle Brook, Bergen county, New Jersey wich is a suburb of New York City wich is only a 15 min drive. I guess because my town is relitivley older and we do not have the open space, we do not have the planned devlopment with single entrances, feeder roads and main arteries. Ower highways are primarly used to go longer distances, only using then if i am going more then 10 miles away. But when i went to Florda for a trip i noticed what you are talking about. There a main atriries with no houses on it and to get any where you needed to take these main arteries, it sucked. When i go and look for a house one day i will look at the design of the roads, not wanting to be depended on the main arteries to get anywhere. One thing else to anyone else who lives in a suburb other then by me, how big are your single famly lots? I dont know if it was this thread or another but i remember seeing something that said that most suburban lots are a acre. Just curious cause by me the lots are only like 1/8 acre maybe 1/4 if you are lucky to get one.
