Here are a couple Region shots The Downtown is coming around the Population of the med size map is now around 110,000 even though a good third of the map is zoned with Agriculture. Opera house near the waterfront The KOIN tower in the southern part of downtown Low Rise district could use some developing in the future A new prized building near the waterfront really brings the city together The outskirts are developing but things still run at a little slower pace.

I'm from Vancouver (BC) so I've spent a lot of time in Seattle too. Portland is a much nicer city imo than Seattle. Basically what sets apart Vancouver from a city like Portland is that Portland hasn't been able to generate the density that Vancouver has. Vancouver is sprawling at a rate much lower than most US cities. Also I think the diversity of the population gives the city a certain character that can only be found in cities like Toronto or New York. And of course there is the whole freeway thing. The fact that the freeway almost completely bypasses the city proper and goes nowhere near downtown makes the city less North American than most. Transit usage is very high in Vancouver, especially in downtown.quote> Yeah i went to Vancouver for spring break last year and we spent like 45 min just getting through downtown.. no freeway is such a ***** lol... -

first of all my question is i really havent played in over a year maybe 2.. and as far as buildings props, textures i don't know what i need to make sure the buildings i plan on downloading show up correctly.. so if anyone could just give me a summary of what i should download that would be great... As for why I'm playing again, and article or the front page of the Oregonian today said they are looking to build taller buildings and urban centers in suburban areas of Portland such as Gresham, Beaverton and hillsboro. I dunno the article just reminded me of the game.. they are really thinking of building a 15 story building in Gresham (boarders portland to the east population just under 100k).. 25 story building in hillsboro.. (about 20 min west of portland pop 85k). I think this sounds like a great idea, alot like the tall buildings that pop up throughout the Vancouver BC area. But of course i'm bias i love the Idea of urban centers =D -
