    My new project is the Pori City Hall, also known as the palace of Junnelius. It needs some work on backside and details. Side of the lot will propably be 2x4 tiles.

    Finland was an autonomous state of Russian empire (in 1809-1917) before got indepence. My grandparents were orthodox in their religion but they were not Russian. Just about 1% of Finns are orthodox.

    The church is quite final now. I put there some lamps and lights. It might need some scaling, now it's just 3x3 tiles and it's propably more realistic in 4x4 size - it's supposed to be the biggest Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Western and Northern Europe. Maybe I scale it up a bit for 4x4 lot, but left some space so the lot makers can put there their flower pots and shrubs Rendering the building in hi-quality (these pics are low) will take several hours, so I wouldn't like to test it many times.

    Jasoncw: If I stick with realism, there will be no trees or shrubs. I could try make custom-made LODs so lot makers can add there some trees. Size of building (with base) is 3x3 tiles, but I haven't yet tested it in game, so I might scale it.

    Ok, I uploaded the first building (r-$ apartments) on STEX if someone didn't notice that. Here is also an update of the Uspenski Cathedral. I scaled up the building a bit, I hope the lot doesn't look that empty anymore. I wouldn't like to remove the whole base of building, it's really important part of its architecture. The building needs an apsis (I don't know if it's correct term in English, I mean the round thing on backside) and nightlights.

    A Growable R-$, stages 6 and 7. Gives a home for 687 residents. Lot sizes 2x4 and 3x4 tiles. This is not based on any particular building, but this kind of pre-castconcrete element buildings were common in east Europe during thesocialist era. Especially during 1970's these were also built in westwhen there was need for low-price apartments.

    Thanks for comments everyone, kiitos kiitos! T Wrecks: Yeah, humppa never dies! Member called Trojan_lingon mailed me some time ago and he had figured out what propably was the reason why my Saarinen's Tribune building was not growing: Too long filename! I tested it but it still seemed not working (or maybe I did not have correct demand in that city or just did not play long enough)... but anyway I forgot the whole thing. Now I tested to chance the filename of the first r$ building and it worked, it grows! I'll try to improve the lightning a bit and upload it in STEX soon. And if someone wishes to rename and test Saarinen's building (it might also need new lots/desc-file) he/she can of couse upload it in STEX if it works.

    sepsis: I have consired of making both of them but Temppeliaukio church might not look interesting enough as a simcity building, (the interior of it is great anyway). There would be a lot of work in details of Uspenski Cathedral, and I would need hi-resolution aerial photos.

I don't know which function it could have, I think it can't be Acro, because it can't have residents and jobs. Maybe just jobs, it looks quite industrial. Larger picture

  22. I'll remove the stairs. Is there anything else to chance before I make the final high quality renders of rautalintu and robustrobots? I made a new one too, it could be in i-manufacturing category, a factory that makes futuro houses. About modelling a truck/airplane replacemet: I have no knowledge how to make a real moving/drivable stuff, but I can post a 3D-file if you know someone who knows how to do it.
  23. I think there can be some windows in hightech buildings, they can afford to make them ultra thick and bullet-proof I made them anyway smaller and frames thicker. The spiral stair is just for emergency exit, so if it's hard to walk space suit on, it's better than nothing Another i-ht building coverted from my old ones: I don't know how the hovercars will look like (has any one decided that?) these which I made are a bit 50's-scifish, if you can see.
