Hello everyone. I have an interesting idea for a BAT, though I am rather terrible at making lots. Adding to the challenge, the building has a very odd shape. I was wondering if anyone would be up to the challenge of making a BAT of the Egg, a building that is used to house performances in a large theater inside. It's shaped like an off-center egg cup, which makes it stand out from the surrounding buildings in it's natural Albany, NY setting. It could serve as a land mark or CS$$$ building. I can't seem to find the exact dimensions of the building, but I've included several pictures. I just thought it would be interesting in large cities, because it has the slightly "off" look that makes it stand out from the crowd. http://npbloggers.newpaltz.edu/blog0708/wp-content/uploads/albany_egg1.jpg http://news.runsky.com/images/attachement/jpg/site1/20100810/02004c4f4f500dcaded64f.jpg http://www.sullivankeenan.com/image/egg_aerial.jpg -Calculatrice

I think you're right. They fix the STEX, cut out the four letter minimum for search, vastly improve the site speed, add a homepage and get the omnibus up and running, abd it'll be fine. Of course, we had all of these things in 6. :|

It seems it's sped up at least a small ammount since the last "tweak." That a good start.

First off, it's considerably slower than before. Second (and this is only my opinion), the STEX layout is more difficult to navigate than before, while the four character minimum for the search means you can't search things like "SG" or "NAM" or "BSC," which is vital when a majority of the prop packs use abbreviations in the title. Info for specific files in the STEX have a more confusing layout as well. By no means is 7 terrible; it's not. But my point is that there was nothing wrong with 6. The layout was easy to navigate, it was slow (but not as slow as 7), and the search function was quick and easy.

Hate to be a downer here, but it seems like ST took an "if it ain't broke, break it" approach this time around.

I like the new layout. Still incredibly and mind numbingly slow right now, though. :-/
