Once I have built several small cities and want to tackle the large and medium ones I build ALL industrial zones in a neighboring city(s). You just need to periodically bounce back and forth between the cities and let them grow a bit. In your primary city you'll have commercial jobs and mid to high wealth residents and reducing your industrial pollution is nil......good luck

R demand high and no buildings?

Build another city next to yours and start building high and medium offices as the focus just build a nice section then go back your original city make sure you connect the cities with roads/transit. The key to growth is other cities. I have several small cities that are well over 100,000 residential due to neighboring cities that provide jobs. Also play with the tax brackets, lower the H res taxes to 2% and H commercial and sevices/offices to 15% in your main city. In your neighboring city H commercial services/office to 2% Good luck. -

I am also new to the site but not the game. Like many others just can't seem to get away from the game upon learning how to really play it. I have added many new buildings and lots and the must have NAM mod. I have one issue with the NAM I have a test region set up for new gadgets, NAM seemed to work fine with most transportation modes. But upon using the elevated rail over a road with or with out pylons I can lay the whole network down but when I add the elevated rail station the games shuts off, crashes............ The other rail pieces worked fine, and road pieces just having trouble with the elevated rail over road. Any suggestions and thanks for everything really a great place.
