  1. Region as single city?

here dude unzip this archive into your regions folder. check out the config to see exactly how i did it then you should be able to open it in SC4 http://www.zshare.net/download/703107520e66cbd5/ if you want another size let me know. Later: I hope you dont mean to control multiple cities as one ubergigantic city at the same time. if that's what you meant, then nope. the largest city you can control at one time is one large. you can create a new region with one large city as the whole region. but thats what we are limited to. even if your have the most advanced PC known to man right now, i doubt your cpu could handle rendering multiple cities.
  2. Region as single city?

I used ms paint cause its a simple job and i dont want to over complicate it, but if you can do it right in an advanced graphic program then cool if you add any more dots then 4x4 blue (one single large city in the region) then it will convert it into 4 cities, so make sure you do it EXACTLY correct you have to really zoom in, and make sure you only have 4 rows by 4 coloums of single blue dots. wait, you have winrar? I will upload a region with one large city for you hold on a second
  3. Region as single city?

I used Microsoft paint, lmao. I cant upload the bmp for some reason so here goes how i did it. follow these instructions exactly (i dumbed it down i dont know how much you know about it so no offense) go into ms paint at the bottom right of the white canvas (paint area) you should see a TINY light gray square click the square and drag the canvas up and to the left until its so small u cant see it anymore. go to the view bar at the top, then to zoom in the drop down menu. select custom zoom in the sub menu. to custom. select 800%. and press ok now recreate a really small canvas area, like 10 by 10 dots. select the pencil tool. depending on what size city you want: select these colors on the color chooser small = blood red medium = neon green large = royal blue now make your section. make sure the dots are touching and they add up to the correct number of dots small = one red pencil dot. * meduim = 2 green dots by 2 green dots. ** ** large = 4 blue dots by 4 blue dots. **** **** **** MAKE SURE it looks like a square, obviously now cut the canvas again so its EXACTLY the same size as the squre you just created. now save the file as a BMP named config (config.bmp) into this folder C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\SimCity 4\Regions\Whtever You Want Your Region To Be Called. you will have to create the name of the folder or clear out the one already there with the name that you want, obviously. now open it in SC4 and tell me if it works. I will wait for you to come back so dont take too long.
  4. Region as single city?

yes ive done that before. I just happened to be stopping by to pick up some overhanging elevated rail props from the stex and saw your post. you made this topic at the right time.gimmie 2 mins Edited to combine multiple postings... -CaptCity
  5. thanks for the feedback @ chicken I would put more but its hard to to find lots thatr fit nicely as most of them are square @squatter I will probably add more ports downtown near the airport. the cruise port will be downtown the bay will be considered an industrial satellite and those ports are considered to be industrial ones thats as much as I figured out at this point
  6. help? Imnot going to have all this stuff at the beginning but I planned it out, so as I build up I can have an idea on what to do therefore keeping me from having to do any serious bulldozing as i start off with a small community and grow out RED = (mostly elevated) highway YELLOW = (mostly elevated) rail where red and yellow cross I shall duck traffic into a ground highway or ground rail and back.... BLUE are the suburban train stations and mass transit centers. (akin to jamaica station in queens) WHITE are the city borders... the center is the city and all outter are satellite suburbs and commuter cities BLACK are seaport ships. I will probably add more but not sure quite where yet. blah the central region design is VERY loosely inspired by manhattan island in my native new york city its obvious Downtown is where the nightlife and artsy stuff will be! mostly reward buildings. (lower manhattan) Square = midtown manhattan/times square. CBD. Huge CO offices and the main rail (penn) station. tourist attractions too Heights = harlem. lower to middle working class resedential workforce R$. some CS over next to central park East and West will probably be middle to upper class urban highrises R$$$ upper west/upper east side the island also will house the jail, power plants, a bit of industrial, and so forth. a cross between rikers and liberty. I would put in a subway line but that will be WAY too detailed at this point. I will update with more soon. and yes my ms paint skills are not the greatest D: lol. I don' t know didly squat about graphics or art.

I love this man the rivers region is just what I needed. I use the small islands as residential and the big center island as the commercial district like Manhattan in new york city. One of the best maps I ever used. 10/10 thanks
