Where do I even begin? My Comrades, I woke up on the 5th of March 2013, I had not enough money left in my gaming funds to buy Simcity, I was cool with this, I knew the DRM would cause some problems, And that people would probably rage about it for a day, maybe two at the most. It is now Day 3, The British release is 2 hours away at time of writing, and anyone who bought this game is surely coming out this experience a hundred times more cynical. Tonight, my fellow British Simcity fans will log on, Only to find their product is defective, or their cities have been erased, Or they just can't play a game they actually payed 40 - 60 Pounds Sterling for. This, Ladies and Gentleman, I am sorry to say, Is our future. Because companies didn't understand that Pirates are literally everywhere, You, the consumer who legitimately pays for his copy with his or her HARD EARNED MONEY, Now has to suffer, because a few kids wanted a game for free. Piracy is not to blame for this. If EA says this wasn't my fault, All you have to do is say "This is your fault, You conned us out of money, for a product that should not have been released, EVER". This is our future, We have the power to make it stop, but yet again, we $%&^! and whine without doing anything about this. We buy games. They turn out to be crappy, and not optimized very well as a result of games being aimed Console, This is not their fault, They're fellow gamers, they may be of a different mindset to us guys sitting all high and mighty on our Powerful PC's, but they are still part of the Zerg. They are still part of the Swarm of consumers who have grew up playing video games. We are not going to go anywhere at all. Nowhere. We've let publishers (Some, but not all) screw us over for far too long. It's time we finally said No. It's time we took matters into our own hands. Also, reffering to the topic at hand, I feel I must commend the actions of Amazon, they have always been my favorite retailer when it comes to games, One because they provide physical copies, and two because they provide a very good customer service. The DRM incident has allowed Amazon's Customer Service to shine, they have refunded their customers, and have taken the game off sale until the server is back up. I'm going to be quite nasty to some of you on low end computers, but what I am saying here is true. By demanding that you can run games on Low end cards, you're holding the rest of us with Ultra Powerful Rigs back, We should be having games that require a Quad Core i5 CPU, A GTX560 and At least 4GB of RAM as a minimum. That should have happened... what? a year back now? And we're still stuck with games that have really low minimum system requirements. However, the logic of the whole "STEAM IS GOD AND EA IS WORZE THAN HITLER" thing is primarily I think as a result of Reddit, and while you guys may think it's good, It's really not. Reddit's gaming subreddit is essentially comprised of people who BLINDLY UPVOTE and worse, Believe something /v/ posts. Origin is spyware, so by that Logic, Steam is spyware, Stardock is Spyware, battle.net is spyware, Gamestops digital distribution platform is spyware, Gamersgate is spyware, GOG is spyware. I could go on. EA is receiving some unjust treatment here, I admit, they aren't entirely innocent, far from it in fact, but that doesn't mean you should claim EA's service was invented by the Anti-atheists to turn you all into Christians or something as Reddit would have you believe. I have had little problem with Origin, It launches games and has a store if I feel like buying something from EA, and Thats what I want it to do, Nothing more, nothing less. I don't want to have to go through endless levels of stupidity and Steam(ing pile of poo) to play my games. I'm happy with using both services. Spore's DRM was worse, Much much much worse, So I have confidence that the new Simcity will work out, and it will hopefully be better than you think. Treat it critically, but think of it as a different experience to Simcity 4.

On Kingsplain some 40 km from Futropolis City Centre lies the spaceport. it is officially known as the Kingsplain Intergalactic Spaceport and Route Traffic Control. The travelers, tourists, and business tourists of the Rezanon Intergalactic Kingdom use this port as it is a large port by standards. Now let us lay our eyes on the actual port These Ships are orbital ferries. they travel around the Hypoli System from Rezanon to Ares and Alpha 3 the moons of Rezanon to the great gas giant planets moons and space stations this a view of the entire spaceport. Many o the ships that are accepted here are QAUSAR Galleons which are huge, have orange stripes and were built at Tau Kinematic shipyards in Japan back on Earth. many of the ships here were built on Earth. HRMSS Destroyer is a 2500 gunner Dreadnought class Military cruiser, it can be seen at the top of the picture (second to last) the ship is only used during times of war, the last was around 2500 This is the Space Route control centre, a huge building which accommodates Rezanon Space traffic control and Military Deployment CentreN Now you can see most of the Spaceport. Taking Centre pride of the picture is the Quasar Cosmoliners, which are very fast. in fact they can travel at around 3x the speed of light, as they use darkmatter engines. Simcity 5, the stuff of dreams. Seriously, there is nothing that we can do about this situation, Will Wright has left Maxis, who are working on Darkspore and EA are too busy catering for the people who buy thier crap. If EA ever comes around these parts, they won't care, they'll just make another crap game. There is nothing we can do but wait, even if that means waiting a decade.

A simple mod that can allow for custom buildings to function, after all, if a game is to survive it needs to be modded!

I Doubt it..., SC4 is at the minute still the 'forefront' of city builders, Cities XL tried to do take a step in the right direction. it finally has. But the only ones that can outdo Maxis are Maxis themselves if you get what i mean. Basically Only Maxis can subtantially improve city building for the better. Cities Xl 2011 looks alright but i will make my mind up when it is released.

if you want skyscrapers search NDEX. honestly they did some of the best scrapers for SC4 on the net the BSC is also worth looking at, they've got a brilliant range of parks and Small shops for suburbs also Cathedrals for your historic district can be found by searching for them. The NAM also has a few other addons. RHW (Real Highway Mod, Although I still call it Rural Highway) and NWM (Network Widening Mod) Pegasus is also worth looking at, he has done a range of fantastic Waterfronts named CDK. (Coastal Development kit), if you want a beach resort with a board walk then you'll be surprised to find he's done that too. He also has a fantastic range of Rural Mountain Lots and Bats, he is currently working on SPAM for those who don't know. also i forgot Welcome to Simtropolis and you may need a big download limit! The stex has around 10000 Bats and lots (AKA LOTS OF DOWNLOADING!)

a user of youtube named erwin negentig? (i think thats his username) who was taken off of youtube had a brillaint tutorial to tod this using minimum space Step 1. Place money tree step 2. place a hydrogen pwer plant with water towers around two sides step 3; place your pipe and transportation (put the pipes about 10 tiles away from each other step 4: put large hospital police and fire facilites in your city step 5 : zone with the the control key, then place parks around it Step 6 :Repeat step 5 until satisfied and also don't forget to place ndex towers with workplaces!

Ok ive just bought another copy of simcity 4 and when i insert disc one it comes up with this message: Cannot Locate CD ROM. it tells me to insert disc tow, but you need disc one to start installation I am using SC4 Deluxe. i tried to edit a config .bmp file to make the all the cities large and i kinda need help too as the ENTIRE region Vanishes could someone tell me what im doing wrong?
