This is a set (the first of many) of 5 flags: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom and United States. The Anglosphere, meaning the English Speaking world. of course other countries speak english, but they will be grouped into other Geo-Politically based sets. Included here are only props, for you to use on your own custom lots (come on, Lot Editor's easy). The flags have been rendered in High Definition, using the updated scripts by SimFox. I beleive (though I may be mistaken) that these are the first HD Flags to be released. That is perhaps the only thing special about them. Also, they hang down more than some other flags - perhaps the day is less windy? They are modded with a special hover over query (not that special, really) so that if you forget which country you are from, you can easily be reminded. Do not upload anywhere or distribute any whole or part of this file without the permission of me, Joelyboy911. If you ask nicely, and give a decent reason why, I won't say no. Otherwise, if you make a lot with one of these flags on it, you must link users to this download. To Install, simply unzip the file into your plugins folder. This is just the first of a long series of flags I plan to upload. Some, like flags of the UK, Supra-National Bodies, and Scandinavia have already been rendered, and will be uploaded shortly. Please don't rate low because of the size of the pack. The packs will get bigger soon. I'm also testing the water to see how well received these BATs will be.- 18 Comments

This is a prop pack containing the ATR-42 and ATR-72 set of turboprop regional airliners, my first aircraft BAT and proud to be my first ever released creation. This is the version which has been rendered in Standard Definition, meaning it is exactly like every most other props and BATS released. (By the way, the pictures show the HD version) This package will be a dependency for the lot package. By clicking download you agree not to distribute, upload or sell these files anywhere. Installation instructions: Extract the single .dat file from the .zip, and place it in your plugins folder or a subfolder therein. These liveries are included: ATR-72 Aer ArannAir CaraïbesAir MadagascarAir New Zealand Link (Mt. This is a prop pack containing the ATR-42 and ATR-72 set of turboprop regional airliners, my first aircraft BAT and proud to be my first ever released creation. This is the version which has been rendered in High Definition, meaning it gives greater quality in zoom level 6, but has a much larger filesize and is, therefore, more taxing on your systems resources. This package will be a dependency for the lot package. By clicking download you agree not to distribute, upload or sell these files anywhere. Installation instructions: Extract the single .dat file from the .zip, and place it in your plugins folder or a subfolder therein. I Like it more now. Some things, are still a bit inconsistent with real life. I like the fact that there are planes taxiing and utilising the runway, but at any given time, in a real airport I think the planes only go in one direction. The use of tabi's planes is great, and I like your control tower being the landmark one. I wouldn't concern myself with runway length if I was you. In simcity 707's and 767's can take off and land within the size of the Maxis Airport anyway. If you want realism, your airport ends up swallowing an entire large city tile. We weren't complaining. We were offering constructive criticism, and its obvious that you have taken it onboard and the results are good. @Daws007. I have PMed Tabi, over at SC4D, and asked him if I could have his gmax file so I could make an Air New Zealand dash-8, he hasn't gotten back to me yet, but we'll see what develops.

I think that your flair for airport design shows promise, but was in this instance was misguided along the way. There are too many aiming point lots in the runway, and its not really that hard to match up taxiways to have a smooth border with the gate area. I also think that an airport with that many planes would probably only need one or two runways. On a more positive note I really like the placing of design aspects on the out-side (non plane) bit of the terminal. The carparks and plazas combine to make an aesthetically pleasing area. I also like the JRJ breakwaters and I'm guessing Brigantine water mod. I'm not sure about the trees and towers flanking the runway. On the whole, not bad. EDIT - I withdraw the statement about the aiming points, having looked at some airports in Google Earth I see some have that type of marking. However I still feel that the runways need re-working.

Ah yes, I see what you mean. I'm now building a larger, yet smaller airport, on some reclaimed ocean land. I've just realised that it blocks up my bay and makes it look absolutely hideous in the region view. Start-over time!

Originally posted by: feliwi what a huge airport! Not bad so far, nice ideas, but it's unrealistic. For the first you need much more taxiways and more empty gates! As well some terminal layouts are really unfunctional! But nice airport anyway!quote> Could you elaborate on "terminal layouts .... unfunctional". I get everything else. I just downloaded the airport sets last week and so this is one of my first sort of 'practice runs', if you like.

Well, you guys haven't actually stated that you wanted to see more of my pictures, but here they are anyway. There are faults with this airport, chief among which is that the runways are (way, way) too short, and there aren't enough of them. Also that the whole airport is too large for a region which currently home to a mere 1.8 million sims. They must fly very frequently. I'm a New Zealander, so my region is made to look like a New Zealand/Australian metropolitan area. Its coastal, but the airport is inland, right on the fringe of suburbia and wilderness. Here's an overview of the medium city tile on which the airport is built. As you can see, its a touch excessive. And the runways are in too close proximity to the buildings. And there are almost no empty gates. Terminal Four and Terminal Five This is the latest addition to the airport, Terminals Four (Left, takes flights from all Airlines originating in Asia and the Middle East) and Five (Right takes all flights from airlines from Europe), Built to ease the load on the ill-planned and over-capacitated Terminals Two and Three. Terminal Four Destinations Terminal Five Destinations Airline Destination Cities Singapore Airways Singapore London (via Singapore) Paris (via Singapore) Moscow (via Singapore) Thai Airways Bangkok Chiang Mai Emirates Dubai London (via Dubai) Munich (via Dubai) All Nippon Airways Tokyo Kyoto Nagasaki Japan Air Lines Tokyo Cathay Pacific Beijing Hong Kong Singapore Airline Destination Cities British Airways London (Heathrow) (stopover Hong Kong) Manchester (via London) Edinburgh (via London) Aer Lingus Dublin (stopover Los Angeles) Belfast (via Dublin) Cork (via Dublin) Air France Paris Noumea Lufthansa Berlin Munich Frankfurt Swiss Air Bern Geneva Zurich Terminal Two Terminal Two was originally designed to handle all international flights from Asia and Europe, but when it became overloaded due to the booming tourism industry, it was refurbished and re-fitted to handle flights only to and from North and South America. The Joelsville-Los Angeles route is one of the most contested in the area, served by 4 American Airlines, as well as Aer Lingus, stopover on the way to Dublin, and Air New Zealand and Qantas on their routes to Europe. Terminal Two Destinations Airline Destination Cities United Los Angeles San Francisco New York LAN Santiago, Chile Buenos Aires, Argentina Rio de Janeiro Brasilia Pan Am Honolulu San Fransico TWA Los Angeles St. Louis Air Canada Vancouver Calgary Toronto US Airways Los Angeles San Francisco Boston North West Seattle-Tacoma Terminal Three Terminal Three was built at the same time as Terminal Two, and was originally intended to serve airlines arriving from The US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, however when it was discovered that the two terminals were too small is was converted to serve Qantas and Air New Zealand exclusively. Destinations Qantas Air New Zealand Melbourne Sydney Brisbane Perth Gold Coast Airport Adelaide Canberra Cairns Townsville Darwin Los Angeles London (via Los Angeles) Shanghai Auckland Hamilton Palmerston North Wellington Nelson Christchurch Dunedin Honolulu Apia Hong Kong Los Angeles London (via Hong Kong/Los Angeles) Beijing Domestic Terminal/Terminal One The Domestic Terminal, was built on the site of the first ever Airship dock in Joelsville. It has been destroyed 3 times since its original construction in 1944. Twice by fire (in 1960 and 1983) and once by a terrorist bomb (2002). It is served by various international airlines, who on seeing an opportunity to expand into a new domestic market moved in after the collapse of Ansett (real world Australia/New Zealand Airline) , which had once monopolised the domestic Joelsville market. Cargo Terminal Area The Cargo terminal, while low key in its stature, is a vital hub for DHL in the South Pacific Region. It also receives cargo from Cargolux, JAL Cargo and FedEx. There are cold storage and general storage warehouses concealed below ground in the terminal building. Now for some of my more eye candy-ish shots. Concorde Lives. If only in SimCity 4. An Emirates Jet, taking off, home to Dubai. Now Some Night shots: Hope You Like These!

I also have a question, is there a prop set somewhere with the 747s and CRJs as props, without the front-on lighting, and with no jetways attached?
-
Here are some pictures of planes, from my last airport. The airport itself, incidentally was destroyed by me, as it took up too much space in a city, but I thought you guys might like these shots I took (and edited, of course). A LAN A340, taking off from runway 09R, at 10:30pm, bound for Santiago, Chile. A QANTAS A380, At the Gate. Some FlyBe DeHavilland Canada Dash-8s waiting overnight at the Domestic Terminal An Air France Jet, on Final Approach to runway 09L, Flying low over the suburban houses. Some of the Other regional airliners at the Domestic terminal. A UPS Plane, being loaded in the Cargo area of the international airport. If you guys like these, then there are more where they came from! I'm building a whole new, rather large, International Airport, at the moment. It will have more jets, more terminals, and I will upload more pics.

Sky Guy. I See you have used tabi's jets, in lot editor, and by the look of your thai airways jet, you have the same problem as me. The jetways always disappear below certain types of the planes, no? I find this irritating, at best. Does anyone know how to fix this?
-
I have discovered a solution my own problem. To anyone else who shares my problem, you must simply go to the simcity.ea.com website, go to the bit about BAT and download the script file, and follow the instructions given.

SC4Tool - Reference and Visual Editor for BATs and Lots
joelyboy911 replied to Andreas Roth's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
When I start out opening the SC4Tool, I get a message like this: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\MenuShowDelay=0 This Causes problems to menu functionality Please Change this value to something > 0 What to do? -
I need a hand with the Lot Editor. I was trying to modify some of the jets and terminals, to put tabi's planes on them, in order to have more variety etc etc etc. But the "save as" button is shaded out, and when I click save, nothing happens.

Click on this Link To get to the next page. Theres some kind of page flip bug in action here.

That I am, ch0c0. I would be really thankful to anyone who can do it for me, or even teach me how to do it.

On the stations on the tram-in-road, and in-avenue, you must drag one-way roads through the station, to "activate" it. On avenue the direction must be the same as the side of the avenue, on road it is no trouble which ever way you do it. On tram-in-avenue, some stations do not permit UDI to pass through, there are fixes/replacements for these at kurier.simcityplaza.de, I hear.

night lights on downloaded buildings
joelyboy911 replied to tigerplayer91's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I've been told this before, and it hasn't worked. Anything else I could try?
