  3. Downtown continues to transition from it's modest past as a small regional market into a major insurance and financial center. To accommadate the large number of new workers in the downtown core, the city has begun encouraging the development of highrise residential towers. Several have gone up in the last year, the latest and largest being the Chelsea Mark Condo's (seen in the upper right corner of the picture), and more are in the planning stage.

  9. generalee7: Thanks for the link. I created the region in the game, so I need to know how to convert it to grayscale. I can send the whole region to anyone who wants it but it is around 30mb.

  16. Sandy Flats - a desert metropolis

I just wanted to give an update on the region, so here is an overview photo I've been busy with my new region (Alpine Valley) and another desert city, so I apologize for not keeping you Sandy Flat fans updated more often. The city continues to grow south and eastward, especially around the airport.

  22. tHe Dark_Child - Thanks, the farms really add to the realism, and help give the growth a random look.
  23. Date: 12/2/2004 1:03:16 PM Author: J.O. I also thought that that would do the trick, since I recall that farming demand just flattened, not got negative... Of course this way careful planning is needed, so you won't demolish too much farmland at the same time... ~~~~~ I just demolish a field or two at a time to accommodate new subdivisions or industry. That's what gives my cities the patchwork effect.
