Hi guys, I'm relatively foreign to the forum after I stopped playing SC4 for 2 years and now restarting. Just one question. I have the latest NAM and RHW downloaded, but when I am constructing an Avenue over RHW-4 overpass, the texture of the RHW-4 under the Elevated Avenue is still the pre-RHW 3.0 texture, which is the light grey one. Additionally, before placing objects, there is always a faint preview of the object. However, for the Avenue over RHW-4 overpass puzzle piece, there is no such preview, making it very difficult to place the overpass piece in the correct direction of the RHW as I cannot see the orange and white directional lines. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks so much in advance!

Avenue over RHW-4 Overpass Problem
IsaacTham replied to IsaacTham's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
@Takrus: Thanks for your help! I'm afraid the Road-over-RHW-4 and OWR-over-RHW-4 have the same texture problem and also don't have the respective previews. So to clear up things, I have to find a copy of the old RHW files and delete it? I'll try. Thanks! -
Avenue over RHW-4 Overpass Problem
IsaacTham replied to IsaacTham's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hi, I tried everything you asked me to do, have the latest mods installed, but still have the problem. I have a picture of it below (note the red circle) And also note the missing preview picture. Hope the pics gave you a clearer picture of my problem. Do you know what I can do to solve it? Thanks in advance -

IsaacTham replied to IsaacTham's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Yup, I've installed all new files and mods already. (sorry for not saying earlier) However, the problem still persists. -

Hi! I'm back with the first update of Orchard Country. This one is mor transport-oriented. Newsflash: The capital of Orchard Country, Chuan, has reached 1 million people in population! Here are the pictures! I am planning to upgade a major interchange in the heart of town to be able to handle bigger volumes of traffic. Here's a pic of the old interchange. The old interchange has been demolished and that section of the highway is closed. (sorry for the pause symbol) Laying down the first pieces... (sorry again.) There! The completed interchange. I know it is only a partial interchange, but it should still be able to handle more traffic than usual. Going north, another major interchange. An El-RHW goes through an area in the city. It changes to El-highway sometimes for T-intersections. The El-RHW ends at the edge of town. Meanwhile, this interchange is gridlocked! I have to upgrade it! Look for the corresponding picture next update! That's all! Bye! Best, Isaac P.S. Here's a teaser for next update:

Welcome everybody! I am starting a new Cj. This Orchard Country is started from scratch and is in no way simiar to my old Orchard Country. I hope you would support my journal! The first city I am developing (the capital) is Chuan! Residential: 832 421 Commercial: 503 769 Industrial: 0 Now for pics! Downtown Chuan. I am using some bullet train lines! Downtown again, this time from afar. A suburb and some CAN-AM. The main highway, Highway 2 weaves through downtown. Sunken, it goes underground some of the time. A unique interchange between Highway 2 and another city highway at the edge of town. Another city highway makes its way through the jungle of buildings. As another regional highway enters the city, it breaks near an airport. Being FAR-fetched? A sunken highway makes its way out of town. Shops in a suburban area and Tram-in-Avenue. A park. Crazy about connecting both parts of town separated by a highway. Near downtown. A new part of town. A RHW put in place in preparation for future development in the area. Lastly a construction project for you. I am planning to upgrade this... To this. And I need to connect it over the highway. And the other end of construction... Construction begins... That's all for the first update of this CJ! Hope you can comment! Best, Isaac

Is there a seperated demand ordinance mod?
IsaacTham replied to ChaosEmerald's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Then what about anything less than 0? Hee hee! -
YES! A new NAM! To biloxisean: Rail Viaduct stations are on the STEX by Andreas Roth. Search that name or 'SBFT' to find them.

help with radical ordinance v2.0
IsaacTham replied to secret_neo's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Er I got another question. Where do you find the Radical Ordinance Mod in the STEX? There does not seem to be a Mods section anymore... -

Orchard Country Hi! I'm back with my second CJ, on a region called Orchard Country. This region is also built from scratch so you can see my style of building. My style has changed a lot since the Straight Seas Region which did not go so well... More interesting things inside, more downloads and more variety, this region will be a brainwash from your memories of the SSR. Please comment on my CJ! I want to know how you feel about my cities, either good or bad so that I can improve and show you better stuff! The capital of Orchard Country is The Central, which is also the downtown and main employment hub in the region. It has approximately 190,000 people as of 30 minutes ago, when I last played! Here's a snapshot of the city: Without much delay, I will show you some first-hand specialities of the city. Downtown. A funny thing is the repeated buildings! Note: Central Stock Exchange on the right and GLR in Avenue station on the left. Downtown again. The commercial district attracts many companies! Note: Conrad International Hotel on the right and the SHARK Hotel next to it. A university in town. Note: Rail Line, GLR and GLR in Avenue The future gateway to downtown Central. GLR carves through the city centre. Note: Baseball Stadium on the left At the coastal, another GLR line emerges. A special 'coastal' GLR line!! The coastal line continues, and continues... until it reaches its end. Note: The Central Zoo on the top-left and the IMAX cinema in the bottom right. An Athens-styled apartment in Downtown! A soccer stadium and another cinema on the top-left. On the left of Downtown, east and west combine! Note: Bird's Nest Stadium and the London Eye. A sports hub nest to the Bird's Nest. The area is going to be developed, and homebuilders are anticipating housing prices to skyrocket here. That's all for the first post! Please comment! I love comments! More to come soon... Best, Isaac

How do you make your zones so big such that the arrows on the zone markings don't point anywhere else and when you zone them it will show a no car zot? (in 1st pic, bottom left corner)

I like the terrain, very realistic.

Hey great! You are starting a CJ in ST! Good luck!
-
Still used to the old system... Now I feel like going through the CJ again, but I think in Update forty-something the photoes say that their bandwiths are exceeded. Good luck, update round the corner?
-
I really think the 2009 Trixies is already decided. So is the 2010 and all Trixies till the finish of the Greater Terran Region. Good Luck! Isaac

Great work!

Hello all viewers of Simtropolis, Welcome to the Straight Seas Region! I named it that because the seas play an important role in the region, an they are all STRAIGHT! (straight as in the coastline, not the curves in the river) This is my first City Journal so I apologise if my CJ Skills are not up to a professional's. I am building the region alongside updating the CJ, so what you see in Update 2 may not have been there at the time of Update 1. (for example) I welcome you to suggest how I can improve in terms of city-building or CJ-making! Please comment! Without further to do, here's the contents. Contents Note: 'M' means mini-update (less than 3 pictures) or non-picture update. Page 1 Update 1: Introduction and First Pictures Update 2: Improvements of the City, Airport and Downtown Update 3: Mass Transit Network and Dense Developments Update 4: Mini-Update (M) Update 5: Night Pictures to celebrate the Christmas Spirit / A little competition Update 6: Parks, Beaches and a Rural Highway Page 2 Update 7: Reconstruction of the RHW interchange, New Financial District and New Subway Line Update 8: Statistics of Keppel Bay (M) Update 9: A High Resolution Update Update 10: GLR and more... Also, points can be added for answering a question correctly! No prizes, though. Just a small game. So come on! Comment on the CJ! But, the rules are... 1. NO spamming. 2. NO breaking up messages. I will count them as 1 message anyway. The leaderboard will be shown HERE and will be updated everyday. Posts Competition - Leaderboard Updated -- 4.30am 9 Feb 2009 1. jacqulina -- 10 2. Also, I make the highways so that I keep it organised, the 'skeletons' of the city. Picture 2: The construction work has started! Picture 3: The beauty of the city, the two skyscrapers Bank of China and Chrysler Building. Picture 4: An overview of the city, with nearly 7000 people living here. (told you it's new, but number is set to rise dramatically soon) Again, feel free to comment about the city and the CJ, I will be waiting! Sneak Peek for Update 2 (coming tomorrow): A look at the Industrial area and more on the downtown, which will greatly improve! Isaac on 1/12/2008 at 6.45pm
