  1. Show us your Downtown!

@Ion Cannon: That is one mighty gorgeous city with all the green in it! Downtown New Uniden and surrounding housing. This actually was redesigned about four times.
  2. Schulmania

Then doesn't that make mine #17,999th?
  3. The 10,000 Post Thread v2

7642 You kidding Ocram? I tried playing vanilla simcity with no cheats and i failed miserably. Keeping the city making any kind of profit was really hard, even on easy. xD I've sworn myself to the "howdryiam" and "fightthepower" codes.
  4. Starcraft

I enjoyed Starcraft and it's expansions when i had them. At first the gameplay was somewhat similar to my all time favorite Command & Conquer, but still different, took me a while to get a hang of it, and geez did I love it. Story too was pretty enticing. However one thing that urked the living daylights out of me was the size of the Battlecruiser. It's supposed to be this giant starship and yet one of the Terran marines could ride it like a horse. lol I haven't played Starcraft 2, nor will i probably for some time. But I've watched gameplays and it looks pretty nice. Cinematics have caught up with current day standards, but I was also a little lost with it. I remember Raynor, but not that marine guy he got with. All in all, real good RTS. Definitely up there with C&C.
  5. Information on Windows 8

Oh wow Windows 8 is out already?? I thought it'd be a bit longer. How does everything look? D: Is it more different from Win7 or not so much? Great to know simcity can still work! I always play in Windowed with hardware rendering anyway.
  6. Schulmania

You sunk their Battleship! Game over.
  7. Brickside Elementary School

I've never seen a school like this one. Is there an office or gymnasium? Nice work on it though!
  8. Stick that in your emotions and feel it.

  9. Soccerfield with parking and flora

That definitely looks like you used dependencies, which were not listed. And I'm totally replying to a 3 year old file.
  10. P garage2 spaceship pad

Well, it's applicable if your cities have shuttle Taxis.
  11. I'm not excited for SimCity (2013)

    1. Alejandro24

      Alejandro24

Me too, It will be too hard to leave SC4.

  12. Legalization of cannabis

Hell, if I had my way, I'd keep it illegal/ban it permanently. As well as all Tobacco and Alcohol products.
  13. Your Favorite Civilization

I've never played! I may be interested if it's relatively like Total War.
  14. Marmageddon: Crisis in New Zealand!

Is something you put on toast really that important to warrant so much attention over a shortage? I don't think I'd be worrying if there were a shortage of Strawberry Jam or Peanut Butter. Sorry, out-of-the-loop American here.
  15. My girlfriend has worked for Safeway, and now Barnes & Noble, both as a Barista, and she's told me about all of the excess pastries and bread she's forced to throw away at the end of every week rather than donate it to a shelter because corporate doesn't want to miss a profit by giving it away. This is just a generally messed up issue.
  16. Question: Will weather effects be added to the game, such as Windstorms, Thunderstorms, Rain, and Snowfall? Also, Will the game be developed in a way where it's portrayed as Cartoonish or more-so realistic and serious? Edit: Eh, after going through Reddit, second question was answered, much to my dismay and I think they confirmed there will be Rain, much to my excitement.
  17. Ooh i think you double posted there. Anywhoodles, Can't wait to see this new ship looks, and find out what's going on. D: Maybe "someone" doesn't want us going to Mars.
  18. The Nation of Cape Barren

It's a great feeling to see my BAT in someone's CJ. Really nice CJ! It's like a treat when someone starts with a small city rather than a large metro in the beginning. Also love what you did with the neighborhoods. Very green and beautiful.
  19. The Trixie 2011 Awards

I was nominated twice. Thanks. I would have nominated people, but time ran out, and it was already closed.
  20. Before the current Follomer CJ, a short but damaging war of dominance took place in the heart of Follomer, a small but prosperous nation in the North-East Pacific. Threatened by the development of potentially devastating weapons, and the will to use them if necessary, a Coalition of Governments banded behind the Americans, and launched a preemptive Invasion of the Follomer mainland. Within the first hour of the War, Follomer's Capitol City Saint Kristina, was the first to be laid siege to. Because of how sudden the attack came, thousands of civilians were caught in the fighting, trying to flee. The Battle for Saint Kristina would be known as the costliest of the War. The Americans had hoped their forces would capture the Capitol City quickly, with relative ease, along with the Chancellor himself. However they underestimated the quick response of the Follomer Home-guard, and the Chancellor escaped to coordinate a defense in safety. The city streets quickly turned into a battleground. Even though the Chancellor escaped, the city seemed lost. The invading forces were overwhelming the Home-guard divisions stationed in the city, and with much of the regular Army elsewhere in the nation, hope for relief was dwindling, for they feared they wouldn't arrive in time.. -- The 29 Hour War was my first large story arc I've ever made in a CJ, and I felt, for it's importance in much of the journal's background, It didn't get as much screentime as I wanted. Now, with a re-built city, I'll be retelling the events of the war, from the first attack and the Battle for Saint Kristina, to the last hour and the return of peace. Expect to see some major Call of Duty inspiration. And enjoy the theme to Modern Warfare 3 to set the mood. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCsI_QqGcyc
  21. If you want, you could download a model of the space shuttle from the google warehouse and then edit it in creative ways to replace your current model of the Groundbreaker. It's what i did with the Osprey. I elongated it and turned it into a Quad-tilt rotor. And the world "otherworldly" sets this up to be exciting! Is it the same as with the Agonus incident? (did i remember the name right?) Man i gotta get back into modeling spaceships.
  22. Mass Effect Series 1-3

Mass Effect is undoubtedly one of the best released games for xbox 360. A trilogy set in the future, you play as Commander Shepard, either as a Male or Female and the face is compeltely customizable to your preference. When explorers on Mars stumbled upon ancient ruins of a past alien civilization, which turned out to only be an outpost, Humanity came across a data center which contained advanced tech which jumped Humanity's own by 200 years. After that, Starships went faster and Humanity explored the edge of their star system, where they discovered one of Pluto's moons wasn't just a chunk of ice, but a large alien object covered in ice. It's purpose was to quickly transport starships across vast distances, to other similar devices in neighboring systems, effectively connecting the galaxy. Soon after, Humanity colonized worlds and stumbled upon the Turians, an alien race belonging to a greater union of other species. I'm not going to go over the rest, its a long history which the game explains itself. Mass Effect 1
  23. Mass Effect Series 1-3

Oh poo, "Zeno" is supposed to be "Xeno", but we REALLY shouldn't be talking about any kind of pronography. Anywho! The Game Demo was released on Valentines and I have officially fell in love with the game. I am now 110% certain I will be in line at midnight to get my copy now. I just have to finish this story! They also have an amazing full CGI trailer for it. Did anyone else find themselves drooling a little?
  24. The 10,000 Post Thread v2

7368 This is the first time I noticed Astro's blue haired avatar...is that a chick? He also has more Rep than i do. Kiss-up.
  25. Whitney Houston Dead

How about we all agree the loss of a Human life is the tragic part of this. But seeing the sheer media coverage of this is unbelievable. I found this shared on Facebook. I think it pretty much sums up how messed up society views a "tragic loss".
