Nice work, but i think you should model the window frames a bit more.
-
Interesting, but i think no one can tell what is going on...can you give some hints???

Well, after you open the red ball (material editor) you should clicks "new", then decide if you want a "standard material" or a "multi-material".Just say standard material, and then click the button near the word "diffuse".Here you can choose the pic that will become your texture. After you've done, you should click the white and blue cube button that is called "show map in viewport" and is just next to the "name" drop-down menu. This step is needed to show your texture in the scene. -
It's just perfect.

Take a look on the various tutorials on the omnibus, then take a look on Jasoncw texturing tutorial, there is a link on his signature. Modding and transing-enabling things are further steps. Now just worry to model. BTW, nice try. -
I think that's already right.Very nice work.
-
In my opinion your first roof texture looks better.I agree with Jason for the entrance, and the brick textures. As for detailing, you may add some small details around the windows (look at Spike345 photo), some more details on the entrance, and a firescape.Anyway, you've shown a great progress and i can't wait to see how will it turn out.

Hello, maybe that's not the right place to post this, but i really need to know the height of in-game trains.Does someone have any idea?

Thank you very much, now i know what to do. -
I think you should post that in the modding forum...anway, try to edit the capacity values of your building.Maybe you've entered a too great or too low capacity value, so check it out.Hope that helps.

I agree, colors don't blend well in SC4, but it's just wonderful anyway.
-
I agree, it's very nice.Hope to see it textured soon...

Your last building looks quite nice so far, but i think you may need to enlarge a bit your windows and extrude less the horizontal lines between the first and the second floor.
-
I don't know the station of aldgate and barbican, and neither i know how they fit with neighbour buildings. If you aren't going to release it as a corner lot, are you sure that the diagonal corners can blend well with the other buildings?
-
My progresses so far...
-
I'm not a fan of that kind of architecture, but u have to agree that your last creations are really nice. However, i think you should make the base of your last one different from the rest of the building.
-
The widened version looks very good, but i don't think it can fit well on a corner. If you want to do a corner lot, you may need to work a bit on one of the sides of the station, but you're on the right path.Anyway, it's better than the previous one, and i'm really curious to know what you will do now.

Compliments, that show an huge improvement in your skills.I appreciate your last BAT for both the modelling and the texturing.I'm really amazed for your progresses, but there are some details that maybe you can improve. As it is now, the red spot on the rear of your building don't seem to fit well, neither is clear what it is, and i think that it's a bit too bright, so maybe you can change it a bit. You may also scale a bit up your smallest annex. It seems out of scale in comparison with the rest of the building, and too small anyway. Your roof seems to extrude too much on the sides, and maybe a darker texture will fit better. As for nightlighting, i think that you should should change your light cone on the front of the building. The fact that you've decided to use transparent textures adds some difficolty, since, as simfox said before, you need to use your light to mask the emptyness of the interior. To solve this, i suggest to add some more opacity to the glasses. Also, you may change the color of your glassses to a more gray-ish tint. That's a remarkable improvement, i hope to see more.

Your last works looks quite nice indeed.I agree with Simfox, the building seems rather big.
-
Glad you've uploaded your last building,
-
This is really good, almost perfect. In my opinion you may change the roof a bit, maybe adding some dirt.It looks a bit too plain right now.
-
I agree with todd about the ridge.I think version 3 is the best.
-
Nikonkarawans:I agree, they appear too thin.I may also scale down the building a bit, sice i think it's too massive now. BTW, congratulations for the trixie!

Maybe i need to come with another update....the pic below shows what i can offer now. It,s not too much, a little more than some boxes joined together, but you can see the general idea. Many parts are actually boxes modelled to give an idea, and many others are still to be modelled.Needless to say, the vast majority of the details still needs to be added and textures are beta. Also, i need to know the height of the in-game trains to determine the height and the length of the ramps, and the height of the train shed. That's all for now.
