Stunning lotting, Mntoes! I'd like to pick the 2nd texture for the roof .
  2. Francis90 BAT showcase

Hello, i've fixed the base and re-rendered the building with the colors it will have when textured.Notice that it is still un-textured, i'm working on fixing the texturing issues that were pointed out by SimHoTToDDy and Cockatoo. Also, if you want to have a rough idea about how will it appear when textured, i can show this preview: At first i did it only to test my creamy textures, but since i like the result i'm going to use these colors. I need to do a lot of work in order to enhance the contrast between the textures and to make clearly visible the brick pattern within them, but i like how it turned out.

Nice new project Pierre, is it based on a real building? I'm happy you're going to get confindent with 3ds MAX.
  4. Curved Subway Entrance Stairs In HD

Wonderful, we can finally see all the care you've put on it.Excellent work, 5/5
  5. Sandridge Center Oklahoma City

Nice building, you've still to improve your texturing skill but that's an improvement from your last ones.I think that 3,5 out of 5 would be a fair rate, but since i can't give it i will give you 4/5 for encouragement.
  6. Francis90 BAT showcase

Helo, not really an update, but i'd like to show you an important change i did before going on. I've deleted one floor, 6 floors are more common than 7 floors in this order of building, and this will surely match better with other buildings.I think i will keep this change.Since i've thought that the base seemed too short in comparison with the other parts of the building, i've decided to modify it, increasing the gap between the first and the second floor. But, i'm afraid i did it too much. What do you think? Mosin 33 pointed out the problem of making it as a HD or non HD model. His suggestion was a good one, but right now i think i'm too un-skilled to achieve decent results with it.I barely know how to texture something, and my understanding of the HD concept is quite poor too.But when i will be confident enough with normal texturing, i think i will seriously cionsider the idea of making HD texturing as well
  7. Welcome New Members

Thank you for having done this thread, North country dude.I think that it (or parts of it) should be quoted and put into a stickie.
  8. Krasnodar - And the Wheels Will Turn II

I'm glad to see this in the new CJ section!Good luck with it!
  9. McDRye tries BAT again..

    I have a suggestion too...
  10. hkabat-forum-threads Amthaak BATS Thread

Very good idea and project! I think that maybe reducing a bit the width of the balconies would be the best solution.
  11. First National Center of Oklahoma City

Nice, model, but texturing doesn't give justice to it.Why don't you start a thread?
  12. Mini Coal Power Plant

Good idea, but texturing is quite poor.
  13. Cockatoo's BAT Thread

That's really beautiful....can't wait to see more. What you have so far is really stunning, and i agree with TWrecks that the perspective view is a great idea indeed !

My suggestion about the roof texture would be a dark gray, grimy one.Although your building seems to be quite recent, i don't think that roofs are cleaned up very often in this type of building, so i think that adding a reasonable amount of grim would be a good idea too,For the other textures, i'd suggest you to take the color you're interested with the eyedropper tool you find in MS paint and make a background with it, then open either gimp or photoshop and add a layer for tonality (just in case you need to modify it, then another one for saturation, a layer where you place the details of the walls (e.g lines between bricks or cracks in the asphalt) and another two for the gradient and the grim.Right now i think that the brick texture is too much saturated and red, and you need to tweak the upper texture as well, since the one you've used reminds me of green-brown, while the one in the pic is definately teal.Anyway it's always difficult to start something really different from what we're used to do, so don't get discouraged and keep on .
  15. Beebs' BAT Workshop

Interesting idea, i'm really curious to see how it will turn up.
  16. Jason's BATs & Tutorials

Thank you very much Jason, i've actually thought that this came after a school project.May I ask about for some previews of your WIPs?I was thinking about the Kean, since you didn't post any preview of it so far.
  17. SimHoTToDDy BATs

Stunning textures, Todd ! I'd like a less rundown version of it as well, though. But anyway, it's just wonderful...it 's really like the real one .How is about the warehouse you did some time ago?
  18. hkabat-forum-threads PaulvMontfort's Showcase

That's incredible...really hope you can solve your problems for this huge project.
  19. Heblem's BAT Workshop

I think you will realize your promise ! I'd only like to ask if you will do something less modern as well...but that's up to you.Anyway, very good stuff there, and i think your gas stations will be extremely useful!
  20. Jason's BATs & Tutorials

I think texturing looks really nice.I feel somewhat strange about the rightmost glass surface on the front of the building, though.I'd be very interested to see some interior plans, if you've done them.I think you need to add an access to the roof.Flat roofs needs to be cleaned, since they tend to hold grim and the rain..Also, i think it would be a good idea to add an indent to the back.Although the front and the back may be very bright, i'm wondering about how can light flow to the central part of the building. As for modding, i must say R$$.I don't think they would look good as low-wealth rowhouses.I think they're too much refined. That's a really nice try, keep on.

SimHoTToDDy:Sorry, i don't really understand what you wrote. Can you elaborate a bit more? Jasoncw:I got your point, but i long prefer cold colors like brown, so i've used it. I'd like to show another thing now.I did this little thing to test some ideas for a new project and to get things clearer in my mind: That's a little test only.Just tell me if it's worthing further work on it. PS:i must add that i'm quite worried about it not being historically accurate, so if you find something wrong please tell me.Thank you.
  23. Nycc06's BAT Workshop

That's really good looking, especially the night preview.
  24. The Sci-Fi City Project

I must echo Jason about the time this project will need, and i must highlight another point...let's say you're able to make a BAT every one or two weeks, but will you find enough drawings or ideas for every tipe of building you will need to do?
  25. Jason's BATs & Tutorials

It's looking good, though maybe it would be a good idea to fade lighting a bit.I saw the original building and it's like this, but i'm wondering if it's the best solution for the game...
