Radical Maxis Re-Lots (Beta-0.2) Product Type : Lots Author : 1994 Version : Beta-0.2 Dependencies : bldgprop_vol1.dat, bldgprop_vol2.dat Radical Maxis Re-Lots is an attempt to modify all Maxis lots, growable and ploppable, to appear more realistic and more detailed. Features including alleyways for most lots, accessible parking, and Uniform Street Light Mod-compatible lightpole layout. * Please note that the only completed collection of lots are R$ and CS$. CO$$ has some stages (that is stages 2, 3, 4, 5) completed, while the rest contained has a minimal collection of lots. Readme inside file for more information. After 5 years of studying, I had decided that I will not continue this project. I am sorry, everyone. I realised that what in fact that I will be doing, will I to finish it, is just making lots of ephemeral data that will be stored here in a hard disk in Simtropolis's data centre in Canada, that in the end, will disappear without a trace. So is material world, but the virtual world is a magnitude more volatile. Again, this project has been discontinued. Very sorry, everyone. However, I will keep what I have done in Simtropolis Exchange. Also, you can copy my lot designs without my permission. -

Radical Maxis Re-Lots (Beta-0.2) Product Type : Lots Author : This is my name Version : Beta-0.2 Dependencies : bldgprop_vol1.dat, bldgprop_vol2.dat These dependencies are required for some of the lots (eg. R$, CS$$) that require additional props appearing as buildings in the game. Description Radical Maxis Re-Lots is an attempt to modify all Maxis lots, growable and ploppable, to appear more realistic and more detailed. Features including alleyways for most lots, accessible parking, and Uniform Street Light Mod-compatible lightpole layout. Installation If installing from the ZIP archive, download, unzip and install directly under your C:\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins folder. In Radical Maxis Re-Lots folder, there are sub-folders indicating the type of lots in the folder (example: CO$$, R$, PZ). You can control which type of lots will appear in the game by removing the sub-folders that you do not want out of Plugins folder. To uninstall, just remove the Radical Maxis Re-Lots sub-folder from your Plugins folder. Notes Only in new cities I have changed the size for some of the lots, sometimes covering a full range of a growth stage, for example: Scoot and Pump, all high-rise apartments in R$. No lot blockers please (eg: Maxis blockers) These are re-lots, as such, they will not work well with any blockers. Graphical glitch WILL happen if installing in previously saved cities if you do not have required dependencies This mod can be added and removed anytime These mods do not interfere with SimCity 4's system. There is a solution to immortal lot bug If a growable lot overlaps something after installing this mod in a previously saved city, bulldoze the lot. If you have bulldozed the growable lot but the lot itself stays, dezone and rezone using a different zone (example: if the affected lot is residential, rezone using commercial, any density). If the lot still stubbornly stays, please proceed here. This project has been discontinued. Very sorry, everyone. New beta is up! Major changes include massive redesign of R$ lots and CV lots. Download link in my signature and in the first page. Try it to believe it. EDIT: Also, I'm going to halt this project for a while due to university preparations. Don't worry, I still come here every now and then to answer questions. Thanks for the advice! I didn't modify lot sizes for the majority of my modified lots. The ones I do change are for realism purposes, such as gas station lots and tenement lots. I think you should download the open beta to see which ones that have the lot sizes changed. On an unrelated note, work on the Civic lots are in progress while I'm taking a break from designing so many growable lots. -

Thanks! The lots are supposed to be American styled because I wanted to retain the Maxis feel. Furthermore, most of the Maxis buildings in SimCity 4 are in American style. I do both. In some cases, I just rearranged the overall look of the lot. -

Beta version coming! Finished some CO$$ lots, wrote a readme, package it, zip it, now figuring out where to uploaded this mod. Hmm... EDIT: Here it is. EDIT 2: Beginning today, I will halt this project for a while due to RL issues started getting ahead of my focus towards the project. colco2121 : No worries. After all, these re-lots are for Maxis buffs and people who want to keep plugins to a minimum, like me. Magneto : Unfortunately it is not possible. Blocking Maxis RCI stuff will also block lots made for Maxis buildings. -
