Nice work. NYC is the only city that actually matters in this world.

My Railroads are very efficient but don't look as good as these. I still have at-road crossings. I wish the Network addon mod would work for me.

Wow, this is interesting. Beautiful photos, I have to whonder, how did you achieve the effects of those waterfall shots? Your storyline is just as interesting. You are probably the first CJer to feature a journal that includes pictures of trees and nature instead of urban areas.

Oh my god, I had a flashback from the simpsons movie!!! Originally posted by: football_fever The_sanderson: Yeah, why *is* there a road under the el-rail? Besides that, I hope nobody has to give directions to their workplace in that city. It would go like this: Guy1: The meeting is at 4:00 at Wren Insurance Guy2: Which Wren insurance? Guy1: Just go over the bridge where the highway ends abruptly when you're across the neon blue 80's colored river, then take a right three blocks later. Guy2: Dude...there are FOUR Wren Insurances on that corner... (-Doesn't deserve a rating/10) - Minus extra points for the picture being too big... The_Hutt: Here you see the legendary explorers Lewis and Clark as they traverse the terrain. Luckily in this area the trees only come up to their shoulders, since they were all Maxis trees. To their surprise, there was a small group of tall buildings simply rising out of the Maxis tree forest with nothing around them except a rigid grid of roads and an abnormally large train station for such a small settlement... (-1803/10) The_sanderson: Mom: Susie, where do you want to go for your birthday? Little Susie: I want to go to my favorite beach! Mom: Oh, the one with the clowns and Ferris Wheel? Little Susie: No! The one with all the tiny Maxis trees and the big ugly green bridge at the end! Mom: Oh, Susie...we can't go back there. Don't you remember your brother Timmy falling over the edge into outer space? Little Susie: Yeah, I do. That's why I want to go because I want to jump over the edge myself because this city is so pathetic Mom: Hmm...you're right...let's both jump over the edge! Little Susie: Yaaaay!!! (-3.14159265/10) Edit: Mulefisk got one in while I was writing Mulefisk: You berate c0ckatoo for a Sim City 2000 city looking better than his...is your picture actually SC2000? If so, you may want to let him know the tileset you're using. It's totally rad in an early 90s sort of way! (-1991/10) Wow, that was fun! A little role playing and whatnot...great idea Mulefisk. It's like the stuff you want to say when someone's city actually is horrible... here is the start of my worst pics...from when I tried plopping everything in my landmarks menu. This way it just looks like part of the city is so awful that it had to be quarentined quote>

Prompting the premier of the post-apocalyptic thriller, I am Legend, it forced me to think of an important future issue that can arise from many cities all oer the world, but typically for the city of New York and Manhattan Island. Now come from Atlanta, but have lived in the New York Tri-state area for 2 years now, and after viewing this great movie of I am Legend, I am prompted to think of the issue of getting an entire population out of a specific area should a catastrophic event occur that forces the mass evacuation of an entire population, and how that could be carried out. I enjoyed the 2007 movie of I am Legend, but I just want now to discuss what any of you think about the current state of how to evacuate metropolitan areas if there should be disaster, not many people think of this, because many could pass it off, but in the future, what if...?

Unfortunatly the Marhsall Millers, Marshall's premier baseball team, is a rival with the Aracivo Island Tribes. Great work with your cj! -

Man, these railways look so cool ,and so realistic. It just makes me think, my regional railroad system are squat compared to these.

homeandaway will die by being crushed to death by a freak billboard accident while spilling coffee on a malfunctioning laptop battery, that explodes. But surviving that wil walk outside under the falling billboard.

Crazy Tom Cruise babbling about scientology
NYankees24 replied to belfastuniguy's topic in Current Events
True, only scientologists believe in that same genre of ideal only a fully grown man game up with the theory that they are alien souls from other galaxies. You might just be a great prophet!! -
I don't know, but I think a depression might be around the corner, because the stock market reflects the fear that is starting to grip the world, and people act on fear maybe a bit too predictably and a bit too much.

That episode was funny, when I saw it I was like, 'these guys are morons to believe this!!' someone definatly made this up, it is just a copy of the principles of catholisicm and judaism and thrown in with spaceships and cr*p like that. -
Nice journal. Great planning, I really wonder how many poeple can build such beautifull cities like this.

Yeah, I hav been hearing of some sort of volcano that could collapse or somethin, that would cause a devastating tidal wave that would take out the whole of the east coast. Anyone else know of it?
-
I agree with you, it would be impossible, and many people would simply want to ride it out in the hopes that it will blow over. I would think that too many people do not want to believe that an entire city could be destroyed by a disaster.
-
Its a scary thought.

If you ever visited new York city, the tunnels can get grilocked easily, especially during rush hour, there are HAZMAT evacuation route signs though, on the freeways leading to the bridges, but how could you move the population out of those bridges? the geographics of Manhattan island only point towards a bottleneck when it comes to leaving the city.

NYankees24 replied to titaniumnutz's topic in City-Building Games
Titaniumnutz, I gotta say, you really should have read a review from here first, I mean, there is a specific forum for that purpose, but i feel for you, you spent $100 for SCS, I would advise returning it, if the store you bought it from will allow you to. We all make mistakes bro, but all the same, it sucks, its a good thing you have SC4RH to turn to! -
OOC The_Sanderson, I am just staying in character, your pic looks good, just make the roads bigger, it looks like Milan's tiny streets or something.
-
Simply terrible, you buildings are all too tall!!! and the roads are too small for that kind of mass transit, the best think you could do is attack that city with a barrage of meteor strikes, have a UFO blast it, and it will simply look good. -2/10 fo you bro!

What's the size of your plugins folder?
NYankees24 replied to flymantang's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I have a plugins folder of approximately 34.5MB of space, and I frown upon those who have folders of junk too big or above 1.0 GB because it is really bad for your computer period.
