SC4 Startup Manager - manage your plugins!

Thanks. I even reinstalled the SUM, but still no joy. Hopefully someone can give me an answer. I really need this to work to ease the load on my older laptop. -
SC4 Startup Manager - manage your plugins!

I do start the SUM everytime. Just to clarify, does a region load directly from the SUM (which it seems to) or should I be launching SC separately (which i haven't been doing)? So anyway, I reinstalled SC to the C drive. I now have a single list of plugins in the SUM. But it's still not hiding my unwanted plugins. Help. Please. -
SC4 Startup Manager - manage your plugins!

Hi all I'm going to ask this question because I haven't encountered anyone else with this problem. The SUM doesn't seem to be hiding my unwanted plugins. The Startup Manager installed fine, i have the cfg file in my SimCity 4 folder. I have created my profiles and assigned them to ciites in my regions, but when I try to load a region, say with just the NAM, all my plugins are still there when the game loads. I think this may be due to the fact that I installed SimCity to D:/My Files/SimCity 4 which would not be a problem in inself, but using Tweak UI, i moved 'My Documents' to 'My Files' when I set up my computer - so in essence my two plugins files - one for My Documents, and the other one for the SimCity application are in actual fact the same folder with the same path. When I look at the 'Edit Profile' window in the SUM, both the My Documents and the SimCity 4 Installation Directory show an identical list of my plugins. Even if I select the NAM folder in both lists, my unwanted plugins still don't disappear. Am I going to have to reinstall SimCity to my C drive in order to fix this problem? Thanks very much in advance -

Looks great. What terrain mod are you using? Is so nice and green. -
I love your first picture! It's so inspiring. Where did you get the wildflowers? Also, I really like the layout of your industrial area. Will definitely keep following!

City has a nice European feel. You're doing a good job. Where can I find that beautiful Cathedral building in your last post? -

Looks interesting so far. You have a good rural feel. Where did you get those stone walls? They are great! -
Hi. I've read your whole CJ and i'm very impressed! Definitely hope to visit NY someday. Just one thing, where did you find the prop in your civic photo of lawn edged with little conifers or something - very formal looking. I've looked on the LEX (because that's where I thought it was) - but to no avail. I did only search under Parks though. I'd just love to find this. Keep up the great work. It's inspiring.

I'm just about to start a new city, and i've looked at several peoples CJs for ideas.............What I want to know is - should i be planning my entire region transportation network now? Should i be sitting down and 1) creating a detailed transportation map of my region that I will follow, 2) designing a map that will show the overall tranportation networks, but not really detailed, 3) or do I just kind of have an idea of how its going to be and go as I build. My other dilemma is, even if I do plan the whole detailed network now, it would seem easier to build it all at the start and then zone around it- but that doesn't seem possible money wise unless using I'm using cheats? Also, if you know where you want your city centre to be (where the skyscrapers will end up) - how far from that do you initially start? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When I am in God mode using the terrain tools e.g. quick flatten brush, I don't get a coverage radius showing, so i have no idea how far an area the tool will effect. Why is this? And if I could see a radius, how do i change the size of the radius like people keep talking about?

Thanks for that. I had my visual effects on low. I've figured it all out now. -
As for my other question, I realised it's the menu management mod that is causing me not to be able to plop consecutive lots. Guess I'll just delete the relevant plugin file.

Jeronij canals on the LEX at SC4 Devotion site have grass next to them.

Hi. Don't know if this problem is just mine, but I can't seem to be able to plop canal pieces continously without having to go back into the menu each time to select it again. Very time consuming. Is this what everyone does? It means building a canal seems to take forever!! Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
