6702, Houston, we have a problem, we are, well..... tooo high, not,
  2. RHW bridges

  3. There IS and EDIT button, and the "::sigh::" seemed like you were unhappy with no response in 3 minutes. You can edit your posts AS MUCH AS YOU WANT. We are not mad at you, but you seem like our responses were mean. We are here to help, and again, don't post something every minute. Also, no harsh language, as that it was unnecessary because all we were trying to do was help and give advice. Again, we aren't the equivalent of the fast food industry for answers.

6677, now its a pattern and I remember when I got in trouble (face to face confrontation) when I posted too much in 1 month (50+) 6678
  5. Either way, works. I was trying the CPUCount, but no luck, core 1 is running at full throttle, and the longer you play the game, the worse it gets.
  6. On Wednesday, July 14th, 2010, at 5pm, we will have a seminar about installing custom regions that are downloaded off STEX. This is one of the most asked questions in the Help Desk. There will be three different types of installation that will be explained here. These are installation using SC4 Mapper by NHP, Terraformer by NHP, and SC4 Rendering. If you plan on attending, it will be helpful if you have these programs ahead of time. More information will come as things are set up.

6658, Well, it hit 100+ for the first time in 2 days in a row since '88
  8. Show us Your Interchanges!

Nice interchanges, I need to get some pics up here, anyway, these "flex-fly" curving ramps, are they in the RHW release, or are they add-ons?
  9. NAM Trojan

If you need another anti-virus program for a check, I would recommend Malwarebytes Anti-malware, it is effective, and it is free (you can pay for an upgrade) and that is funny that AVG has picked something up (its used in FIRST for driver station laptops too, and there are a lot of different things on them somethimes), I have installed NAM while using different Anti-virus programs (Synantec, McAfee, Malwarebytes) and had no issues. It could be that something else is out in your pc, so it doesn't hurt to run a couple of scans.
  10. Cities xl 2011 online

Well it is true that they should have released a game with only offline, because it would not make anyone dependant on online, and bring it in later. If CXL 2011 can make a good profit, and a good name for itself, then something might come. It should not release complete games one after one, but instead expansion packs for the 11 version, and work from there. Look at the RCT series, and the expansion packs, and even SC4. The one thing that they could do is make it able to upload maps of your city (a basic top down pic) to compare, because it would be a lot easier to just have pics, then entire cities.

6641, thefunktopus, you may want to look on the previous page for some good Top Gear videos, the best bus one, vw commercial, and the level crossing one.
  12. To make this clear to everyone who has a question, if you don't know, we are not a place where you can post a question, and receive an answer within a minute or two. Patience is something that you need when posting questions, and also, if your plan is to post something every minute in hope to grab attention, it will not work for you, but against you. Thank you.
  13. City Hall, Homes, and more!

Well, after the big settlement, the people of Stontel's Landing are getting setteling into everyday routines. With a population of 429 people, this small costal town has room to grow.

6635, Words of advice from the wise mind of Tom, "Think before you type, think before you type. Yes I said that twice, and meant it twice."

  17. Well, it occurred to me what this may mean to some who have used computers with 1 and multiple cores. It seems like that I should just install CXL to a computer with a 2.8ghz Pentium 4 (did beta testing on CXL with this processor) because it won't make any difference if I can't make it use all cores. The game is set in my task manager to use all cores so...
  18. Yup, thats the issue, i am having issues finding a program to balance processor use though, post a link when i find something.
  19. First Comers

The first comers land on the rock shores of Stontel's Landing, and they are amazed by what they see. What will come next?
  20. Cities XL 2011 key features

Well, hope there is multicore support! I would still like to see tolls and more highway interchanges. No multiplayer though, but it seems like its becoming an SC4 kinda game.
  21. THE 10,000 Post Thread

6630 Originally posted by: Muck308 6622 That was a good one too, Tommy. But what's the deal with the high visibility jackets? You don't have to adorn one just to drive. Was this video assuming the car was broken down on the tracks? In which case the driver would have to wear one if outside a disabled vehicle? quote> The entire thing was meant to be somewhat of a joke/rofl thing (with some meaning of safety), like why Jermey has 2 hard hats in his head, the jacket was brought in most likely because it would make the old guy in the begining who stopped on the tracks that he did something "not safe". If you understand the character Jermey is, you would know why this was kinda pointless, but funny. This is a 3 part video, but its worth watching it, you'll get the character of Jermey.
  22. Well thank you mr-tom, and yes, because when i leave CXL, there is only one core (well, in my case 1 thread of 2, in 1 of my 2 cores) so it can only run the game (stock that is) up to 25% of my computer's power. Kinda annoying to me.
  23. I have some answers. 1) Yes unless said install to a different place in the readme. Most lots are just a copy and paste into the plugins folder, and the more proper term is unzipping, STEX doesn't have .rar files. 2) Most will be like all the other houses and building in the game, you have to zone for them, and when the time comes, they will appear, if not, check where all the landmarks or rewards are. 3) That depends on whether the building is a landmark, or an actual commercial building. Read more in the descriptions, most of them should say what they are.
  24. Some more info, I am running 64 bit Windows 7, so i checked about the selected cores, and all of them are, so what is with this, this game can perform MUCH better than it is. Anyone else notice this?
