  1. Yes, I know, I'm sorry Majhost is having problems again... maybe I should start looking for another image hoster...
  2. Thank you guys for you comments Sorry for being so quiet those two months but you know how it is... real life always gets in the way. In meantime - who knows this awful feeling when you work a few hours on details and it turns out they aren't visible even on HD render? SD: HD:
  3. Very nice work on both buildings from Grand Concourse
  4. Aaron Graham - I use symmetry sometimes but generally speaking it's not a modifier often useful for me Thank you for comment! SimCoug - Thank you And yes, this is the second tall building I'm making. I'm afraid I don't share others' love for skyscrapers. While I like early ones (1890-1910), the most build after 1920 began to be too tall for me and practically everything after 1930 is to tall. Municipal Building is special for me, I think it most beautiful classical skyscraper in the world Vlasky - Thank you edwardjeria - Thank you tonyr - Thank you Borgmästarjojje - Thank you, it's one of my favorites as well sten1700 - Glad to hear that Thank you for comment And another update on Municipal Building:
  5. SimCoug - Thank you cmdp123789 - I like the comparison Thank you! edwardjeria - Thank you JakeMD - Jealous about what? 9gruntsand1hammer - Thank you Aaron Graham - Thank you! I'm almost done with the base
  6. maikeli.1 - Yes jmsepe - Thank you very much HansonNY - Thank you It would be nice of me to remodel the NY County Court House someday too wouldn't it? I'm still working on Hotel Penn, don't worry, I should post some update on it here soon Aaron Graham - You don't like ocean green? Next render is in gray, just for you! cmdp123789 - Glad you approve lol tonyr - Thank you Update on Municipal Building. I know it isn't much but it took a while to make it anyway
  7. cmdp123789 - Thanks I have a few ideas
  8. mrsmartman - Are you sure you replied in correct thread? Parisian - Thank you And yes, I'm working on Maine Monument too SimCoug - Thank you Darknono35 - Thank you City Hall Park Fountain is on STEX

City Hall Park Fountain - Built it 1871 from the designs of Jacob Wrey Mould in the New York's City Hall Park. In 1920 the fountain was moved to Bronx, it was restored (along with original gas lamps) and returned to its original site in 1999. The BAT is exported in HD and has a special version for winter. Lot size: 1x1 Dependencies: SimFox Day n Nite Modd (For DarkNite Version only) NYBT Essentials Thanks to all people who helped with this BAT. Enjoy!
  10. Very nice work This building will be great for the upper parts of Manhattan as well
  11. City Hall Park Fountain is ready to upload... well, almost I'll upload it as soon as I'm finished with modding Winter version of the fountain:
  12. Thanks guys! SimCoug - Aren't FAR pieces just curved roads at 90° and 45°? (I'm sorry, I'm terribly behind with some aspects of CC for SC4 ) Parisian - I'm not sure if I mentioned that The light well was there before the widening of Fifth Avenue (around 1909). Because I like how it looked before they removed it (along with the balustrade around it) I included it in the model. Personally I'm not against cars, they are splendid invention, but I don't like when cities are transformed according to car traffic. Removing all those fences, front lawns, porticoes etc. along Fifth Avenue took much of its charm. I will post update on the next building soon
  13. University Club is on STEX

University Club Of New York - Italian Renaissance style palazzo designed by McKim, Mead & White and erected in 1899. Among lavish interiors worthy noting are lounging room on ground floor, library on the second floor and splendid dining room on third floor. Covered roof pavilion provides admirable resting place for hot summer days. The BAT has two special versions, one for 4th of July and one for winter season as shown on screens. Lot size: 3x2 Versions: 2 - Plop CS$$$ - Landmark Attention! When Plopped, the lot will appear empty, it is normal, the entire lot will appear when game date will reach 15th of Feb. 3rd of July or 15th of Dec. Dependencies: SimFox Day n Nite Modd (For DarkNite Version only) NYBT Essentials Thanks to all people who helped with this BAT, special thanks goes to Vlasky, Darn42, Bipin, vortext, Girafe and Mike. Enjoy!
  15. ♪♫ Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You. Happy Birthday Dear Aarooon, Happy Birthday to Youuuu. ♫♪ Great work on new building, I like the simple ornaments on the top of each twin and the gate will be a nice touch
  16. SimCoug - I checked how it looks as diagonal version and I must say I wasn't satisfied, the facade looks rather flat, I think I would need to model each block of stone to make it look better... For now I won't make the diagonal version then but it's only for now as I want to finish my other BATs as well Thunderman - Yes...majhost seems to have some problems lately... Aaron Graham - No, I'm not But the problem is with my building the shadow appears on two main facades, that's why it annoys me so much... But I minimized the issue and it won't get any better for now. I was quiet those few days while I was finishing the exporting and modding of University Club, everything is done except one thing. There are four timed props, two for "normal" (summer) version (one before and one after 4th of July), one 4th of July and one for winter. Summer version before July is visible by default and is turned off while three other versions appear (they are visible only in their special state). Everything would be great and sweet but the version visible by default for some reason isn't casting shadow. I don't know why because it has the property "is ground model" set on true and there isn't anything like "no shadows". When I set it as always visible (restore RK Type 1) the shadow is OK. So... can anyone help me?
  17. Sorry for my delayed reply. Did you try to experiment a little with attenuation parameters? Maybe that could help?
  18. Aaron Graham - Thank you Borgmästarjojje - Thank you! tonyr - Thank you ilikehotdogsalot - Thank you, I'm glad you like it The University Club is finished, it will be on STEX very soon but I have small problem Does anyone know how to fix the shadow? Also, I needed to make building a prop because it is too big to fit on the 3x2 lot and I don't want to rescale model or place it on bigger lot...I hope it won't case problems with special versions...
  19. SimCoug - Thank you PBGV103 - Ah Now I understand, don't worry, I will replace them with new ones before I export this version Borgmästarjojje - But it's not finished yet But I hope it won't take longer than a few days now. I want to add a some more interiors to night-view Just goofing around:...
  20. Can you post night renders?
  21. Meanwhile:
  22. Oh, ok But what's wrong with it? Is something missing or...?
  23. tonyr - Thank you Borgmästarjojje - Thank you Parisian - Thank you very much PBGV103 - Thanks! But what do you mean by "figure the pants material"?
  24. SimCoug - Thanks! I'm glad you like them So, here's the final version with the flags: And some tests with nightlights: I still need to make the light-maps for the big windows.
