Bangorai'---- A Southeast Asian Country [COFR alliance]
frdrcklim replied to Sky Guy's topic in SC4 City Journals
Doesn't seem finished but i know ur gonna put fillers on those empty spaces. Still, your pics are incredible. And all of a sudden, i feel that my city-building techniques are not so good. -
You know the solution to that isn't by extracting more oil, but to make more efficient machines. More mileage for cars, uhhh... a PC computer that could run on a 3 volt battery and many more. Take for example the Hydrogen car from Honda. If all US citizens used that, perhaps oil prices would go down to maybe (I'm not an analyst) $40 or even back to its prices in 2003. I just Honda could mass produce their car quicker. A release in 3 years might be a little too late.

I dunno if anyone had this problem before, but I think this is serious. Actually I had a similar problem years before. Before, I had this problem in this city where education budget increases to 120% automatically. Since it was an increase and it was a good thing, I continued to play the city and I would manually bring the budget back to 100% once in a while even if it will go back to 120%. I haven't played in that city for about a year now but I decided to play its neighbouring city yesterday. I was shocked to find out that my health budget goes from 100% to 0% every month. This was a lot harder to control. The worst part is that the decline in the budget is so steep. In four months I think, my health budget becomes virtually zero (which was worse than the 3 months it took for my education budget in the neighbouring city to increase by 20%).

Health Budget zeroes by itself

I guess custom lots could be the problem, but my city with the education phantom slider bug occured long before I started downloading. I read the thread. Can civic lots really cause this bug cause maybe that's also my problem but that sounds like an awkward explanation. -
Filipinoes in Simtrop, you're not alone
frdrcklim replied to Charles Rodulfo's topic in General Off-Topic
Filipino here from Mandaluyong City. I've been in simtrop for more than a year now, but I haven't really contributed much . Currently second year at DLSU. -
Go easy on dark lord, he's new 1. Grid. 2. Airports every city. 3. If no connectivity to other city (Which I don't do because of reconcile edges), feels like freight goes nowhere. If you're an island freight trips are long. I build a port but advisors bug you about connecting to other cities 4. Sandbox makes you really lonely, I want to see my neighboring cities. 5. Like said above, reconcile edges. When you do that on developed land, almost all of your precious work gets demolished. Don't you just hate that. 6. Walton Plaza lol.

I remember my first city. I did not know how the game worked. I put a couple of road and some RCI but I used high-density. I lost a lot of money there. Some small houses, shops and dirty industry grows. I use a natural gas plant. I realize I'm not earning much so I raise taxes to 20%. Back then, I never knew that raising taxes would do that so I kept doing it until I figured it out. I thought 7% was small cuz I thought income taxes are like 20-30% or sumthing. A lot of people were leaving so I reduced basic services: Education, Health, Roads and Power. Back then, I didn't know how to provide water and garbage services. Anyway, my city died and I had to obliterate the city.

Commercial demand and development
frdrcklim replied to dare2go's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Seriously. Buy the Rush Hour. In RH, the Maxis residential lots increased their capacity. It may also help you get a diverse set of new bldgs. Back then, I keep getting the same kind of bldgs because it only showed chicago and ny looking lots. I think they had a patch that fixed that but I forgot. Anyway just buy the expansion. It will make your life easier and it's probably cheaper compared to before . -
You should not have destroyed your university. When I didn't have the university, I had some I-HT but it was just going along the supply demand of residents. When I plopped the university, it no longer followed the supply demand. It just went up like a limitless supply of HT jobs. Hopefully, it will fill the residential gap which will restart commercial growth. I dunno but maybe you can get CAM too. When I had that, everything went up as well. As in skyscrapers just dominated my city after that. I don't necessarily call it cheating .

Yeah. It's bad. I live in the Philippines. We're now actually the world's largest importer of rice. That was not the case before. Even the cost pandesal (it's the people's bread) is rising. Government tries to make it cheaper by mixing ingredients of squash. I think it's genius since they say it's more nutritious and it doesn't change the taste of the bread. Today, I heard that the government is making an alternative for rice by telling consumers to buy root crops which is more nutritious than rice they say.

Don't get me wrong. Back then, I was sure to buy CnC 3 because Jennifer Morrison as Lt. Circe James and Josh Holloway as Ajay were in the story. Didn't see much action in the characters, they just talk. Even Ajay. Probably his best screentime was when the scrin landed at his backyard. They're always at their tents or safe in their command center and some of the best clips in the campaign keep repeating themselves. Seeing the ion cannon blow up Kane's Temple for the third time in the scrin campaign got draggy. I wasn't able to finish the scrin campaign. And they said that past cnc releases had low quality cinematics. I think cnc and cnc2 had great cinematics cause they showed what was happening in the battle field. So when I heard that Kane's Wrath was after Tiberian Sun, I instantly thought that Jennifer Morrison and Josh Holloway weren't in this. I also thought of the cinematics. If I'm just gonna see people just talking instead of action, then I think this is going to be a boring game. And yes, I was glad for the return of tanks in CnC 3. The return of so many walkers is just out of this world that I think they are just way ahead of our time. With the subfactions and everything, kind'a reminds me of Generals ZH. There's so much cool games to buy now and in the future such as COD4, WIC and its expansion and CXL (This is my game list) that, sadly, I don't think I have room for Kane's Wrath or RA3 (Only have 60 GB hard disk but I haven't yet uninstalled CnC 3). If it's okay, I'll just watch both storylines on youtube if there is .
