Walt Disney Theme Park BAT Team (WDTPBT) Thread!
japamala replied to CWLGAMER01's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
I think it should be modular, that way we can have our own versions. especially since you can't havethat big of a lot anyway. -
when this is done, you should include renderings from all the traffic cameras. just 'cause.

Google announces free in-home wireless broadband service

Why is TiSP in beta? When things go wrong with TiSP, they go very, very wrong. Let's leave it at that.quote> Love it. -
I vote for a double decker highway over avenue

Boston Central Artery/Tunnel Project (Big Dig)
japamala replied to blahdy's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Originally posted by: sebastin for first this seemed like a good project, but it uses subway tunnels and converts traffic to subway...(!), and no subway lines can cross it or you'll be having cars congesting your subway lines this project is FAR unreal. im using the ingame highway tunnels in my city.quote> He is currently working on having actual road tunnels. but it'll take a while. -
Boston Central Artery/Tunnel Project (Big Dig)

You can cut a hole in the LOD so the trains can visually enter the station, but since all textures are just single-layered pictures, the "transparent" windows will only show the empty tracks and platforms. It's even worse, if you have a transparent roof or something similar, that would show the neighboring lot/building from a particular perspective, you'd only see a black area "through" that roof, since the background in gmax's rendering window is black.quote> Oh really?

here are two requests I have, (actually suggestions, rather than requests, but anyway) first, is to have a puzle piece of a GLR track exiting an avenue in a fasion similar to this picture: the other, is for a station (simple one, just platforms and benches) with a platform and track layout like so: I think both would be rather usefull.
-
I have a question: Is it posible to have a station where the trains in differend directions stop at completley different places?

Ok, I went back a few pages, and lo! there is a conversion! I was wrong, anyway, one track piece that I shink really should be in here is an 'S' curve, like this one: and also a similarly shaped Y split. I know this is an unrealistic expectation, seeing as the origional people working on his are gone, but if anybody wants to continue this, these would be very helpfull puzzle pieces.

Here's an example of one way that a GLR station in an avenue could work: http://maps.google.com/maps?client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&channel=s&q=&z=19&ll=37.401997,-121.939318&spn=0.00101,0.002167&t=k&om=1 basically, the platforms of the station are at either side of a crossing road, which, if it could be managed, would make the station fit a little bit better. A little north: http://maps.google.com/maps?client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&channel=s&q=&om=1&z=19&ll=37.409147,-121.944592&spn=0.00101,0.002167&t=k is what the T crossing in an avenue should be textured like. Also, if you scroll a bit to the east, you'll see a massive, 3-platform station. This is an awesome station. This is also a 3 tile wide station. this is the best design for a high capacity in-avenue station you can get. And here: http://maps.google.com/maps?client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&channel=s&q=&om=1&z=19&ll=37.414186,-122.025074&spn=0.00101,0.002167&t=k is a nice way for the tram to exit the avenue.
