A work in progress, I am at 83k a this point, just opened up 81 tiles so things I hadn't thought through at first are starting to get streamlined like railway accessibility and a bit of a ring road for industries to carry goods around instead of through the city. I am slowly adding a few mods here and there but it's very vanilla, I even have a mountain somewhere in the back near a small town that I slowly carve away as I need soil. I am playing on hard mode, I think the only mod I have that changes much is the no pillars mod as well as 81 tiles, I am thinking about looking up a larger incinerator that can do more work as well as a crematorium for the same purpose, and I need to turn that basic airport island into something a little more flashy and functional.

NOOOO.. I thought you had me fixed nanomaus, I did exactly what you said and it was working fine... for about twice as long as normal and it was running quite a bit smoother too. Then it crashed again. Any other options? I really want to get to building.

Alright, well I got a new computer a couple weeks ago and here's my specs... Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, build 2600) Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.4GHz (4 CPUs) 2048MB ram ATI Radeon HD 3870 (512mb) Every time I try do something in game it'll CTD. I try to landscape, sometimes I can make a valley or 2, then it'll crash. If I try to move the screen around too much, it'll crash. If I try build some roads, crash. Any idea what I could change? I read somewhere that if your graphic card is overkill that it tries to draw too fast and chases the game to crash..? Any truth to that? Any help would be awesome, I really want to start jamming on this game.

I got it fixed. It was something to do with my audio driver believe it or not.

Alright so I just built myself a new computer. Nothing is on this thing other than windows and maybe some music and utorrent. What's a debugger? The error message I get when trying to run sim city 4 is: A debugger has been detected Unload the debugger and try again. I don't have a debugger. I read it may be something to do with the sound card (which I don't have) or the graphics card drivers (which are the ones that came on the disk with my graphic card). I read you may need older drivers?? Anyway though, I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and what fixed it for them. My computer has an HIS radeon HD 3870 for graphics if that helps. Any help would be great.

(The Pas, Manitoba, Canada) About -25 C here. Tomorrow it's suppose to get up to -1.......and with windchill...get this...it might feel like -27. How strong does the wind need to be for this to be accurate?! And we're suppose to get 15cm of snow, and freezing rain. Disaster looms.
