FINALLY a new update guys! Sorry it's been a while but the region's turning out very well still. I've worked exclusively on downtown this time, added a network, rezoned, replanned and added several new awards. First off, let's check where Johnny and Wyaascg are. They changed quite a bit, There already plannign their retirement, and are doing so with tons of cash. Johnny's moved just two minutes north of the downtown core, in a very nice upscale neighborhood. Wyaascg is across the highway, in the flat suburbs, a neighborhood quickly developing to higher wealth. Both are CEO's of big companies in downtown. These apartments developed along the newly installed el train. Don't ask me why, I just somehow like this shot. A close up of the downtown plaza. Not much to say here. The skywalk weeves between these new offices and out into the fringe of the suburbs. It gets lots of foot traffic. When I built the church, about 70 years ago, I didn't think it would be surrounded by shadow. This is where the old meets the new. Forget the name, but this mega corp holds the biggest office space in the region. The big little league stadium built on the peak of the hill, overlooking most of the region.

...Anything? Anyone? I'm going to get another update on soon, haven't been playing alot lately.

Hey, it's been a couple of days since the last update, and I'm not seeing very many comments... Anything would be appreciated. This one's a smaller update, and the only thing that's changed is downtown, and one more city (which I will include pictures of in the next update, sorry) First tall office building being constructed. First office building being demolished (due to lack of demand) Johnny attended this one. Used to be his old workplace! First high tech mill Shot of Royal street The Farevyu's residences. Funny story... They lived in the same apartment for a while until Johnny left the toilet seat up too much, and they got divorced. Until Wyaascg can get some money for a new place, she'll be living in an adjacent apartment. Haha, a satellite just happened to catch this shot while they were looking for a spot to stay the night/day (Some sims sleep during the day) driving to Fairview.

Forgot to mention the most recent pictures. You're a natural.

Incredible! The panoramic nature peak shots you do are awesome. You also specialize in the smoggy realistic downtowns. One of the best I've seen so far! Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the input. OK, how about this (I'm not a good story teller) One day Johnny Farevyu and his wife, Whyaascg Farevyu were looking for a new place to live in. Having lived in New York for 6 years and Toronto for 3, they thought they wanted more of a small city life for a change. And what better place out of everywhere on the planet then New Fairview! Whyaascg kept noting the fact that it was a freaky coincedence their last names were pronounced the same as the city, but Johnny told her to shut up for no reason. They were only five hundred miles from Fairview, but it was late so they decided to camp in a freaky forest with numerous reports of UFO sitings. They built a make shift tent out of sticks and leafs, with the van a few meters away. The next morning they awoke surrounded by aliens! They luckily had a portable radio with them, with some PussyCat Dolls in it. So they pulled it to full blast and were dazed and confused long enough for them to escape! Tearing down the freeway at 5,000 miles per hour, they were terrified with their recent encounter. But at the speed they were driving, they were at Fairview within 6 minutes, and smashed into a paper wall that stopped the speeding van dead in its tracks! They flew out the windshield with all their baggage and belongs, and landed right into a vacant apartment in Downtown, about 3 miles away. No one was living here, so they decided to make things like home. TO BE CONTINUED

Thanks Schulmanator! OK! The second update. Everyone already knows this, but the second NAM is out!!! Yay! Here are the region updates: As you can see teh highway went inland and connected to make sort of a square ish shape. This will someday be downtown. Daytime pic of the downtown Fariview, really small right now, but the first dense developement! Yay. Same picture but at night. Downtown overview. So that small update is through. Again, any questions, comments, bring it on. If anyone wants a MySim in New Fairview, just ask.

Right, thanks just turned it on to do roads.
-
Hey Banamoat! Thanks for the advice, guess I'll do that. Ugh so much work to CJ! Too lazy..... The highway thing was unfortunate but inevitable given the bumpiness of the riverside. I didn't want to have the highways too far inland, though it does branch off and go into what will be downtown. Blah. Getting ahead of myself.

Haven't followed this CJ since the beginning but the latest pictures are very nice. That guy was right, it reminds me of Dubai.

CrUnChBiTe: I agree, it's beautiful too. My only dislike is the low water line... It turns the shores into mini fjords which is frustrating if you want a harbor city. Then again maybe that's the terrain mod... Brad-MacD: Thanks, I'm using the Euro-Contemporary architecture set for this region. And I don't think that's smog; probably just some clouds that got in the way. hyped_up_boy: Oh, thanks for clearing that up and with that here is the catchup-update. Firefox users know it but this was the original phase, with the first lay of highway and the first chunk of Fairview. And here is the same shot with Transportation view on. And there's the most recent update, with the whole south side of the peninsula filled. Same shot but in Transportation view. One of the many scattered commercial centers of the Tri Cities. (There's a BAT here!) A taste of how the highway and suburban roads adapt to the cliff side. Also note the lack of traffic on the highway. Remember that when the population gets bigger! A corner of West Fairview. A bit of high-tech/manufacturing popping up there already. A looonng street with a corner store. (I do that alot) You can see the Europeanness here. An overview of Central Fairview. Yeah, a bit of smog there... So that's it for a day or two. Any questions, comments, blah blah you know. Also I'm open to My Sim requests if anyone wants. (Selling some prime Fairview real estate!)

Excellent pictures, beautiful CJ. This is the kind of city I hope to make some day! -
Cjah: They worked for a second, but when I reloaded the page they become little black dots again. So nevermind the nevermind. Camedia: Thanks! But can you see the pictures?
-
...Thanks, but that didn't work. EDIT: Nevermind!
-
...OK what's with the pictures? Anyone know how to upload pictures? I uploaded to imageshack.net and then copied and pasted "Direct link" and pasted it into the "Insert image" window in the post editor.

That is awesome. Beautiful, and may I ask where you got the cabin?
-
ABSOLUTELY awesome. It's CJ's like this that make me want to play, but it's 2 in the morning here and I'm tired... Great work, I may bookmark this. I love this type of mayoring too. Metros are too hard, and towns are a bit too quiet. I love those adolescent town-cities. Beautiful.

Yeah, I love the New York one (9/10) but the Atlanta one deserves a 8/10.
