Before I begin, I would consider myself to be fair at creating models in sketchup. These models, however can only be exported to a *.3ds or simmaler file with SU Pro. I found a way around that. Blender, a free modeling software can act as a converter. By importing your *.dae file, and exporting your *.3ds file, you can then get that into SC4 and so on. The way to do this is simple. You just have to export the file as a Google Earth 4 kmz file, change the file thingy from *.kmz to *.zip, and retrieve the *.dae file from the "Models" folder. After doing that you import the *.dae into Blender and so on and so forth. The problem arises when I try to import the file, so see, it requires "Python" which I believe is a programming code. I installed version 2.6, the latest one. However, Blender says that Python is not installed. Anyone got a clue what to do? Hey! That rhymes!

When I try to import it says: "Please Install Full Version of Python Check the console for more info" I can still import all of the other types of files. I am using Blender 2.48a.

Yep. If you want to make an entirely sucluded city all you have to do is play around with the config file. I would also think that the tile sizes in SC4 would be bigger than in SC3K.

Out of curiosity, why are you replacing those files?

It was probably an unfinished feature of the game, like the ANT (RHW) or an online aspect of the game. Very interesting though... If only SC4 were open source...

Springfield, Ontario was planned to be the largest metropolitan area in Canada, that was a mere ten years ago. Springfield was booming with tourism and new companies moving in every day. And becuase of it's location, it was a prime spot for mining and logging. The Springfield Airport was at one time, the busiest airports in Canada. The population was growing at such an alarming rate that plans were underway to expand the airport. At this time it could only handle: Three passenger aircraft, six charter aircraft, and a handfull of general aviation. At the turn of the century all of Springfield's largest employers: Glaxo Smith Kline, Bombardier, and Toronto Dominion Bank (to name a few) packed up and left for Toronto. All of the plans to expand Springfield Airport were scrapped and the maze of taxiways were all that were completed, along with a half finished terminal that is now used for "Government Transportaion". The airport is now serviced by Air Canada Jazz, Bearskin, and a number of small charter companies. Some of the other tenants include Springfield College and OMNR (Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources). The remaining three gates at the old terminal builidng. These gates are almost always occupied by Jazz aircraft, servicing Sudbury, North Bay, Thunder Bay, Sioux Lookout, and a number of Northern cities. The general aviation area including the FBO and OMNR offices. The three large hangars are occupied by OMNR, Springfield College, and the Ministry of National Defense. The city is slowely regaining it's standing. the airport has a whole lot of land and I would assume that the airport was going to be expanded in the future but never was since Algoma Steel went through some turmoil

@motsos: Very nice. looks very Asian, very modern. I like how you did the road work through the terminal area, I find that that's the hardest part to do. There are a couple things. Are the leadouts connected to the taxiway? Can't see from the quality of the photo. The 747-to-Regular Gate part looks a tad odd. I like the highway through there aswell ,but veto the transit hub, it looks very odd that there are platforms to nowhere. It could be used to perhaps house a park of some kind. Could you give us a broad picture showing the entire airport? Minor point: The trees are green and orange at the same time. Overall I would give it a very high score (7-8/10), especialy for the roadwork in the terminal area.

You may want to try searching "Cenus Repository" on the forums. Maybe even PMing RippleJet as he is the creator of the (V2) Census Repository facility. I don't know what that discrepency could be caused by, could you post some screen-shots?

Those numbers in the repository facility represent the regional cap. The regional demand cap represents how many jobs/sims can be created. This number can NEVER be passed, however, it does not affect demand.
