I have downloaded NAM 40 and followed the instructions by applying the 4GB patch properly and remove NAM 39, but when I load the game, it loads okay, but when I try to load a city tile, the city loads properly then after a few seconds, automatically the game crashes to desktop. I repeated the same process with the same exact result. I did not have this problem with NAM 39. I am perplexed on what is wrong or why it is CTD even when I installed NAM 40 properly. Any help is greatly welcomed. Never mind. I found the problem, it was the region I was playing. I have started brand new region and everything is working good.

Please forgive if this is not in the correct spot, but my game is crashing when loading a tile in a region. I am all up to date (version 1.1.641.0 and it is a digital copy from Steam) I looked everywhere in the forums, but nothing. I did put the cpu usage to 1 (-CPUCount:1). The game worked after I installed NAM37, but after about a week or so, the game would crash trying to load a tile. I love SimCity 4, but it crashing lately is driving me mad. Any help is appreciated. @CT14, When I first downloaded NAM 37, I patched ALL ".exe" with the 4gb thing. All I did was delete all the backup files leaving the original files in place and redid the 4gb patch for the SC4. exe. The game now loads and the city tile also loads without crashing. Now I am slowly getting my plugins folder filled with the plugins that I took out

I have one, but I never ever any problems with it installed. As for the SC4Fix, I looked at it, but was not sure if it would help at the time.

This is my first cj in a long time. This is Region of Salem and it has a varied landscape including canyons, plain, mountains, hills, valleys, islands, and waterways. Salem was established in 1799 with the city of Peoria as the seat of government. I am using the Nam, Missouri River Breaks terrain mod and tree controller. All lots belong to their creators.

My fellow readers, I am sorry for no updates lately as I got hit hard with real life and now just noticed that all my images are gone. I have started a new region which will combine Salem and Ludlow areas into one region. I have been doing that since June when I have free time. I am not dead is neither this journal. I will get an update ready for later this month (September). Until then, I will try to fix the missing pictures. Again, I am sorry for no update lately. Well everyone, I have been off the grid for a while trying to get the game working. It kept on crashing constantly until today that I figured out what I was doing wrong. Hester, I almost threw out the computer, but I got luck and saved all my plugins and stuff on an external hard drive and transfer them over to my other computer that has all my other games on and I am back to business again shortly.

Attention readers. I have good and bad news pertaining to this CJ. My disc copy of SC4 stopped working. I have bought and downloaded SC4 from Amazon on my main computer (it works nicely now). I did save my plugins on a external device and success fully transfer them over. I did however had to re-download my regions and I had to start all over again. So an update will be forthcoming in January or later this month. JKB

After working up the will to do an update, I present to you North Ludlow including my first big freeway interchange and we will be visiting just north of North Ludlow to the city of Junctionville to look at Region of Salem's largest railyard. Those areas are Bristol District and Wheatland District. Bristol already has a population while Wheatland is just in the planning stages and I am currently god mode trees in Wheatland.
