The top reminds me ever so slightly of the Fyfe Building in Detroit. A friend of mine just moved in to this place last week. The inside isn't all that special but the top of the building is great. Also the Metropolitan Building has a fairly ornate terra cotta top although its slowly falling to the ground.

This is for nofunk/Jason. I found online what looks to be scale drawings and a sketch up model of MCS. I know Jason Just did a train station, and I really dont have the time or software So Ill link you to them. It'd be a pretty amazing building to bat and I have plenty of photographs of the details and cornices and can get more if need be. http://www.emergencyrailconcepts.org/MCS.htm

I just want to bring to your attention that the inset of the building is 6 windows across with the middle 4 creating a bay window. This is from looking at the photos posted by wolverine. Of course you'd never notice in game but from an accuracy standpoint i though i'd point it out.

In future loft buildings you ay want to consider the addition of balconies such as these. http://downtownmotown.8k.com/Detroit%20September/2006_0929AroundDetroit9_29_060206.jpg They have been putting them on several converted warehouse lofts in Detroit. most recently 55 West Canfield in midtown. Also many build new penthouses on top of the already existing structures. A great example are the Willy's Overland Lofts. http://www.willysoverlandlofts.com

Jason, the "Little Caesars" arena is stil only speculation. Lets not spread rumors. The building was originally the Kresge buidling K-mart=Kresge. I know someone living in the Kales apparently very nice though I havent been up to his place yet. In other news the red building next door (fine arts building) is being considered for fascade preservation while a new building would be built behind it.

I was wondering if anyone can reccomend some buildings from the STEX for my detroit-esque city. It takes alot of searching to find just the right style. Im especially looking for buildings to create near seamless downtown blocks and older residential brick apartments

Hey NoFunk, I found something that might interest you. Here is the original fascade of the sanders building before motown took over. The sanders Fascade remained until Motown took over both buildings and put those terrible blue things all over. I hope you consider using the original. Also Ive included some photos of bits of the building as it was being taken down. You can see the original sanders sign was still intact. I believe the building was expanded up a few floors at one point also. I unfortunately have no photos of the donovan's orginal exterior.

Hey, I wanted to share my Detroit in the works. I'm still working on the street layout. Due to Woodwards crazy spoke and wheel plans and the later choice to overlay a grid to most of it has made the croosroads a little messy not to mention factoring in the limiting facors of sim city. Hopefully one day (simcity 5 anyone?) laying roads will be more versitile. Also any help with scale would be appreciated I believe this is a little wonky.
