Platten Island (Cities: Skylines)

Hello all! I'm back after a very long hiatus due to computer problems and then holidays and then just generally being lazy. Got CS back up and running a while ago but I've mostly just been messing around which lead once again to uncontrolled downloading of assets to the point it took 15 minutes to load a save and my themes were super unorganized. Finally said screw it and unsubscribed EVERYTHING and I'm going to organize some better collections and district themes to move forward with. Also going to try to take things slow instead of just manically building as fast as possible. Keeping a city journal helped a lot with that before and I've been lurking here reading all your journals and I'm excited to be more active around here again!

My new project is what I'm calling "Platten Island." It will be set on the terrain of Staten Island, NY, but be styled more like eastern European cities. I've always been a fan of the architecture and general aesthetics of communist regimes; terrible politics but fascinating and efficient urban design! I've been messing around with cities like this recently and I think I'm now ready to tackle a more detailed, full-fledged Eastern Bloc city.
