TOKYO - CENTRAL CORE
Tokyo is Japan's largest city and the capital. It's a blend of modern buildings built after the city was destroyed in World War II and remaining remnants of the old city. It's a port city with many industrial centers outside the city center. Today we will look in the dense core of Tokyo where most of its well known sites are located.

The Tokyo Tower, soon to be overshadowed by the Tokyo Sky Tree, is one of Tokyo's tallest structures.

Tokyo Central Railway Station is located in the Marunouchi District of Tokyo. It handles many passengers coming from all over Japan.

Some office buildings in Marunouchi near the train station and old imperial canals that lead to the palace.

The Fuji Building in the small island called Daiba. We can see some cherry blossoms in this picture.

The Wako Clocktower in Ginza, Tokyo's ritiziest shopping district.

Modern buildings in a popular pedestrian crossing in the shopping district of Shibuya.

A waterside expressway carries cars through Tokyo's Shiodome District.

University of Tokyo's main campus is a very picturesque part of central Tokyo.
