Winthrop begins port construction

With the recent growth of Cantondale, the logging industry of Potsdam, and the mining opperations of Boulder Village; the growing region requires a deep sea port. Welcome to Winthrop. The first coastal community in the region begins with a small village set up on a the top of a hill. Construction of high volume freight line, high volume freeway and the port have begun.

Using the wind from the sea, the community has harvested it for electrical power.

A small farming community is the first to establish.

The sims set up residency on the top of the small hill.

Farms are not the only source of employment or industry.

The consolidated school has a local football team.

The high volume rail line emerges from a tunnel making its way to the coast and the port.

The train station has been replaced. The village council has decided to relocate it at a later time.

Construction begins on developing a commercial waterfront.

The high volume rail line is still under construction. A rail spur breaks away to the coast.

Work begins on the construction of the the freeway.

The temporary port will soon be over shaddowed by the new high volume deep sea port.

All available back fill from neighboring towns and villages are sent via rail for the expansion of peirs for the deep sea port.

An second update from Cantondale:
The population continues to increase. It now approaches 58,000 sims. With this increase traffic problems have only gotten worse. The town council despretly needs solutions for the avenue expansion. Please vote below.

Four routes are suggested to solve traffic problems and connect the midrise district to the town center.
With the town council not yet ready to repeat the same mistakes with the expressway expansion, they turn to you. They seek the advice of fellow city leaders. Vote for your preference in avenue expansion. Votes will be taken until the next Cantondale update.
The red and yellow routes have the same starting location and ending location. The brown route extends the avenue near the future tech school and ends with the yellow and red routes. The pink route will expand the avenue in the opposite direction into suburbia.
