Chapter 2| Update 8: Dark Skies
Update 8: Dark Skies
St. Krist City, Follomer
3 Days Later...

Minister Finlin: My Goddess...
Minister Gusthara: ...The Chancellor sat forward in his chair and pointed at the current image of a young woman laying sprawled in the snow, bullet holes everywhere.
Chancellor Tristan: Mrs. Shahna Pestin, wife, mother of two. Investigation told us she wen't birthday shopping for her little girl who just turned nine yesterday...without her mother there.Everyone was in silence. Minister Finlin fought back tears. Tristan remained stone solid.
Chancellor Tristan: This...this is the same kind of crap that we fought to get rid of YEARS AGO!Tristan then took his hand and ran it across the table infront of him over and over. Other images played through, showing more men, women, children laying in the snow.
Chancellor Tristan: My own daughter was there that day, and witnessed the murder of her best friend who was only 13 years old. I'm safe to assume all of you believe that she didn't deserve to die. For Christ's sake she was barely a teenager! The others were shocked to hear the Chancellor be this way. None of them had ever heard him utter words that were relating to other religions then Follomer's Goddess. He was angry, furious...sad.
Captain Trellian: Which is why Tristan has put me, along with General Leech in charge of the anti-terrorism operations from now on.Trellian took over for Tristan, always having his back. General Leech of the Follomerian Standard Army nodded with his arms crossed. Tristan gave the both of them appreciating looks before standing up.
Chancellor Tristan: And you all know about the last attack on our second largest shipping port.3 Days Ago

Chancellor Tristan: The attack hurt out our economy, but not badly. However because of the extra strain that the other port has been given, it's a miracle they can still run regular daily operations even with the increase in incoming shipping. We know that whoever these people are, they have the means to seriously hurt our nation. And because of the Non-Aggression pact signed at the end of the war, we don't have the available means to protect this country, which means...we'll have to remobilize our forces. The ministers widened their eyes at his words. General Leech and Captain Trellian just sat, looking on.
Minister Gusthara: You do realize that would make the rest of the nations start to ask questions? Can you imagine the pressure that would be put back on us if the United States found out that our military was remobilizing? It's the same as a declaration of war!
Captain Trellian: Watch your tongue minister!Tristan held his hand up and stopped the both of them before the yelling could start.
Chancellor Tristan: I know what could happen if the Americans saw us mobilizing our troops, which is why I am personally going to state my intentions to the President soon. In the meantime however, I need the other states allegience in this matter.
Captain Trellian: Drace Island has the most average amount of military volunteers and is the perfect place for a Naval Base. And Lomni Island has the minerals to put our manufacturing into overdrive for five years straight. Even though your states are semi-sovereign, you are still a part of Follomer as a whole.
Chancellor Tristan: Which is why I am asking for you to full integrate your states into the Follomer mainland governance. The two ministers looked at their Chancellor for a while before Minister Finlin stood up and nodded quickly.
Minister Finlin: You have Drace's support, anything you need Chancellor.Tristan smiled and then looked over at Gusthara, who continued to sit in silence before, after a minute, sighed and nodded, folding his arms on the table.
Minister Gusthara: You have Lomni Island's cooperation, Chancellor.Tristan for once, felt happy and proud to be the leader of Follomer and, slowly, stood up, along with Trellian and Leech right after.
Chancellor Tristan: Then it's official. Finlin, gentlemen, welcome to the New Follomerian Union.Government Plaza, St. Krist

Tristan walked up from behind and in the reflection, the young figure seen next to Tessa vanished, and was replaced with the sad expression of Tessa's father, who put a hand on Tessa's shoulder.
Tessa: ...I guess the meeting is over now?
Chancellor Tristan: It's done Tess, we're going to bring these monsters to justice. They're going to get what they deserve. Just you wait and see...Jensa's murder will not remain in vain.Tessa turned and, with a sort of fire in her eyes, looked up at her father and took him by surprise. She looked older everyday.
Tessa: I'm not going to wait...I'm going to be a part of this. I'm going...to get revenge...------------------------------------------------------------
