The BrookStone Regional Highway

_marsh_: Hey! that route must've slipped my mind, and I think you've got some people that like it as well! As always, thank you for your contributions, I love seeing people like you offer suggestions, because most of the time they're ones I take. Also, it does look like those cars can just turn onto the runway! maybe I should put up a fence. Thanks for your comments!
Mars250: Thank you for your comments! As far as the town goes, I don't nearly have enough demand yet for 5 large buildings, let alone 15. I'm hoping that Lexington Bay or Calgary will become like that, because thats what I intend! However, for now, we'll let them develop, and I'll be visiting some smaller towns.
Paul5: No problem! Thank you for voting too, I personally like _marsh_'s Idea a lot too ![]()
Bergulf: I suppose the GLR line would be OK there, it just seems like a lot of concrete for a mountain road. However, i'll put that on the back-burner for now. Thanks for your opinion on the Spur line, I'll have passenger stations across the whole thing, and probably a freight station near the seaport, just to make the movement of good easier. All of the seaport stuff I use, from the Marina's to the Container ports, are Pegasus's. You can find them on the download section of his site, the PLEX. The stuff I got is in this section of the PLEX, but you gotta register. Also, The airport I'm using is mainly the RMIP, which can be found Here. I got some other stuff I don't know, but almost everything should be in the 4 volumes there.
lordmungus: Thanks for your opinion! and yeah, i'm always running tight on space, to the area next to the runway is...well...not a really 'safe' area, hehe. Thank you for you comment!

Recently, the Region of BrookStone has approved a new highway system that will have two branches, a Calgary/Lexington Bay connection and a Calgary/Lockheart/Trenton Connection. However, this is such a monumental task that it has been divided into 5 phases.

As you can see, by the end of phase 5, both connections will have 4-lane highways, and interchanges. However, this work will be slow, for contractors have to do this with little disruption to the surrounding area, and in some places, widening from a small 2-lane road to a 2-lane or 4-lane highway can be a challenging task. However, whats more challenging is to create all the interchanges in little space, for space is all of these cities is sparse and valuable.

Some interchanges have already been completed already, like this one. They are already heavily in use.

Farther down, work continues as fast as possible to complete the highway. The route is already half-way to Lexington Bay.
Thats all for this update! it really is an awfully short one, however thats because the RHW mod is very troublesome to me, and i've been having trouble getting everything just right. However, next update, our journalist comes back to see whats up! What will he think of Trenton and the new highway? Where will he visit first? And how has the region grown? find out in the next update of..... The BrookStone Region!
P.S. Check out the introduction page! new satellite photo!
