politicman: Thank you! I actually try not to plan my cities too hard, otherwise it doesn’t look too realistic. Anyway, thank you for visiting my CJ and I hope you follow it!

hidanhi: These are SG’s farms, which can be found on the LEX. I have downloaded several files, so if you go there and look under the category 'Farming' and Farming-SF' you'll probably find all the stuff you need. I found the main pack of farms, which are called 'BSC Farm Fields', these are the actual custom farms, and they come with a list of dependancies.

lordmungus: I see, and I get what you mean, those flowers might be too bright, or the difference from wheat to corn to peanuts might be too great. But, I think I’ll keep them, for the sake of adding a little variety to my CJ. As far as the highway goes, I’ve been experimenting with the RHW, and I have yet to become comfortable with using it. However, be on the lookout! If I create a connection, it will for sure be between those three cities first. I hope you like this update!

stoney525: Thank you!

Thefunktopus: Those are part of SG’s farms, see Hidani’s comment (above) to check where to download them. Thank you, as well! I

guess when you make farms like that people either love it or don’t.

Mars250: Thank you for commenting! I hope you continue to follow my CJ!

Paul5: The

NAM can be found here on the STEX, and the RHW mod is separate, it can be found here.

Lets go to the newest development in BrookStone, a city that once looked like this…

Trenton_1.jpg

Now is exploding in population, and has already solidified the  #3 spot on the population charts, at 8,204 residents. We’ll pretend to be tourists, and start where most of them do – The BrookStone Regional airport (Serves American Airlines and Air Canada).

Trenton_5.jpg

What is this new city here? Why, its Trenton, of course! Trenton was in fact founded because the BrookStone Region received state funds to make a regional airport. They didn’t have a location in their existing cities, so it was voted that the airport be built in an undeveloped city. Soon after, Trenton exploded with activity, and is now the #2 industrial powerhouse of the Region, after Lockheart.

Trenton_17.jpg

However, Trenton is fast becoming a commercial city, with companies being enticed by the proximity to the airport. Medium-wealth residents are slowly taking place of low-wealth residents, and Dirty industry becoming High-tech.

Trenton_9.jpg

Haha, Close-ups are my new thing.

Trenton_11.jpg

Trenton_10.jpg

This neighborhood is closest to the airport, and has the wealthiest businesses in Trenton. Its also home to a brand new Marina, which has attracted a lot of wealthier residents.

Trenton_12.jpg

On a mesa above the industrial district is another suburban subdivision. Many wealthier residents are moving here as well, due to more high-tech industry becoming available in the industrial district below.

Trenton_13.jpg

Remember the ship in the first photo? Well here it is again!

Trenton_14.jpg

Many farms dot the coastline, mainly because they are the only flat areas in Trenton. Trenton’s main crops are corn and wheat, however these are soon to fade away, as many farms are being bought out to make room for subdivisions and new commercial districts.

Trenton_16.jpg

Trenton’s newest development has the largest train station in the city, and is the new headquarters of a large fishing company. While we’re here, lets peek in on what the councils talking about…

Trenton_18.jpg

This is where you can Vote! Trenton's council is debating whether to add a new spur to the existing line that runs through the city. The spur will serve the airport and industrial sector. Many say it can help with transport if passenger stations are added as well, and can double the effectiveness of the seaport and airport. However, others say that its not needed since theres already a seaport to transport goods out. Trenton has more than enough funds for this project, but it might disturb some neighborhoods. many are pushing for this to be built, so their commute can be easier.

Finally, an overview and extra shots which didn’t have any room in the main storyline, yay!

Some nice new tracks.

bad place for a shop, I say…

------------------------------------------------------------------

I’ve been working on the LRT line that was voted to be built in Tavlon, but I’m not quite happy with how it turned out. It doesn’t look as realistic as I hoped, and I’d like to know what you guys think. I can’t change it to be in the road, and subways are expensive. If you guys have any ideas about how to make this look more realistic, please let me know, all suggestions are welcome!

TavlonUpdate131.jpg

Well, that’s all for this update! A lot of photos and not a lot of talking, but, its cause this is a new city. Our journalist will be returning to here to check on developments, once he comes back, but for now, we have one more update until he returns.Until next time! (haha, i've always wanted to say that)

Ive read this entire journal and every part is amazing! I especially like how the cities are quietly nestled inbeetween the mountains.
As for the rail i would do this,
it would be quieter for the residents and offer practicly the same exact route.

And thers a more rual tram line, just press "TAB" when going through...... (i forget which menue)

P.S.
I see youve finnaly remembered to turn off the grid

What about making a very dense town with about 15-25 large or tall buildings but spread them out if you know what i mean

Hey, me again... Uhmm, the GLR line look amaizing..(y) You said that it looks unrealistic, no it doesn't. I don't want too be mean or something, (if you happened to take it that way) but I think the road loop is the most unrealistic "thing" up that hill.

For the spur line, I really think that _marsh_'s ideas is the best one for this city. Because you got the the seaport, I think that it will be better to use the line for passenger transport rather than goods transport. But I think that you should put in one goods terminal for transport to other parts of the region too.

Some questions:
1. What kind of marinas and recreation seaports are you useing? + the Seaport viewed on this page?
2. What mod are you using for the airport?

Sorry for all the questions!

Whatever _marsh_' idea is ( I couldn't see because stupid connection probs would'nt load the whole pic) I support it. BTW the street light across the road from the shop is also out of place. It would be dangerous for the planes that are close to landing! This probably the best update to date. Great job, I look forward to the next one.
